Apocalyptic Flood: Sexy Beauty Neighbor's Midnight Plea for Food

Chapter 640: Chapter 263 Grand Opening of the Shopping Mall_3

Zhuang Shuyuan smiled, ”Big brother, the bill isn’t calculated like that. Today’s shopping center has discounts, buying is earning, and it’s limited edition. If you don’t buy today, it could be gone tomorrow, and even if you had Points then, you might not be able to buy it.”

”The Points I’m lending you now and the Points you’ll earn next month are not the same.”

”Besides, you can repay the loan early. You don’t necessarily have to repay me a month later. You can borrow today and repay me in a week.”

”Can I repay you tomorrow?” The middle-aged uncle couldn’t help but ask.

Zhuang Shuyuan immediately shook her head, ”That’s not possible. The minimum repayment period here is a week, otherwise, I wouldn’t earn anything.”

”Um...”

”Think about it. I don’t have much Points myself, once I lend it out, it’s all gone.”

The middle-aged man thought it over and finally gritted his teeth and decided to borrow.

Because he just saw that a lot of people were buying that battery.

A battery can be used in many places, not just at home for power supply but also for outdoor electric fishing.

He urgently needed that battery!

He saw that the batteries were limited, with only twelve in total, and eight or nine were already snatched.

He had spent his Points on other supplies, and currently couldn’t gather enough Points, leaving a considerable gap. Borrowing was his only option.

”Once the battery is in hand, I can try using the electric grid for fishing, which is definitely faster than fishing with a rod. The speed of earning Points will greatly increase, and I’ll be able to repay the loan within a week.”

He quickly calculated in his mind and made a firm decision.

”Okay, lovely lady, I’ll borrow!”

Zhuang Shuyuan’s heart filled with joy, a smile adorned her face, ”How much will you borrow?”

”1,000 Points!”

Zhuang Shuyuan was even happier, this was a big client!

For 1,000 Points, the daily interest is 30 Points, and over a week that’s more than 200 Points.

If the time is a bit longer, she could earn even more.

By next month, she would surely gather 10,000 Points and rent a shop!

Immediately, the two quickly signed the contract and went to find the patrol officer on duty that day to witness.

Finally, Zhuang Shuyuan went inside with this middle-aged man named Fan Jin to swipe the card and transfer the Points.

It’s worth mentioning that Liang Yuan drew a card-making machine from the supermarket equipment.

Every resident of the Shelter entering the shopping center would receive a personalized card.

It details their shopping records, Points balance, etc.

At the entrance of each floor of the shopping center, there’s a card reader for them to check their shopping and spending details.

The system’s supermarket equipment is very user-friendly and runs smoothly, astonishing all the shoppers from the Shelter.

In this apocalyptic flood situation, having electric power supply is already incredible.

Now, there are even VIP cards, making everything feel like pre-apocalypse times.

Those who never experienced hardships could never imagine their feelings at this moment.

Soon, within just an hour, everyone’s cards were basically empty.

Looking at the dazzling array of goods, everyone was envious, but had no money left in their pockets.

Yes, in just one hour, the shopping center had emptied everyone’s Points.

Next, they would desperately fish and hunt, then sell the catches to the farming grounds and Slaughterhouse to earn Points.

Of course, they could also visit the food area bar on the first floor to see if there were any Point-earning tasks.

However, most of those tasks involve finding mutant plants, hunting powerful mutant beasts, and so on.

Ordinary people wouldn’t think much of it, only superpower users would accept those tasks.

These tasks are time-consuming, strenuous, and risky, definitely not something an average person would choose.

They would rather fish by the river, although the earnings aren’t much, it is safe.

Those with brains would find ways to start small businesses or explore money-making avenues.

The Shelter is in a state of revival, with plenty of opportunities, it just depends on everyone’s resourcefulness.

At least, the three girls Zhuang Shuyuan, Bai Zhirui, and Gao Jie, found a way to make money this time.

They only kept 500 Points on hand, and lent out all other Points.

A total of over 4,000 Points, with two people signing a month’s loan agreement, and the rest being short-term loans.

Even so, Zhuang Shuyuan calculated that they could conservatively earn more than 2,000 Points.

By working harder next month, they could probably save up another 4,000 to 5,000 Points, and then they’d be close to 10,000 Points.

Zhuang Shuyuan breathed a sigh of relief, then looked at Bai Zhirui and Gao Jie, and said, ”In the following month, let’s work hard to earn more Points.”

Bai Zhirui nodded, ”Next month, I’ll produce more Nutrition Express.”

Gao Jie also said, ”I’ll do more fieldwork. Next month I’ll be a free person, and joining the patrol team will definitely increase my salary.”

Zhuang Shuyuan also nodded, ”Next month I should be promoted to team leader of the botanical garden, then my monthly Points should increase to 500. Then by doing some other tasks, I could earn 1,000 Points.”

”Come on, after working so hard, we should spend these remaining 500 Points on shopping and consumption.”

”Haha, let’s go, let’s go. I need to buy a set of toiletries. The set Mr. Liang gave me last time is all used up,” Gao Jie quickly shouted.

Zhuang Shuyuan was also eager; Wu Meng had received a set of toiletries from Liang Yuan last time and gave it all to her.

Zhuang Shuyuan loves cleanliness and regularly performed her washing and grooming, and now it was almost finished.

Not to mention Bai Zhirui, who, being a young girl, loves cleanliness even more, and practically bathes and grooms every day.

The three sisters ran into the shopping center, amazed by the brightly lit, densely packed shelves inside.

It was almost no different from a real shopping center.

However, when Zhuang Shuyuan reached the toiletries section and picked up an item, she realized it was empty inside.

Then she saw a sign saying, ”Sample packaging, display only, please purchase at the counter.”

She finally understood that many items here only had their packaging displayed, without the actual products out.

”Are there no actual products?” Gao Jie couldn’t help but ask.

Zhuang Shuyuan shook her head and said, ”This is the smart approach. If the actual products were put out, first, it’s not safe and might be stolen easily. Secondly, some items have shelf lives and might spoil if left out.”

”Let’s note down the items we need to buy and go to the counter together to check out later.”

Bai Zhirui couldn’t help but say, ”Sister Zhuang, can we save some Points to visit the food area on the first floor?”

Gao Jie’s eyes lit up instantly, ”Yes, yes, we haven’t been to the food area yet. I just smelled such delicious scents coming from there.”

Zhuang Shuyuan laughed, ”Okay, save 100 Points, we’ll have a feast at noon!”

”Hooray!”

Gao Jie and Bai Zhirui quickly jumped up in excitement.

Zhuang Shuyuan suddenly felt that such a hardworking and determined lifestyle wasn’t too bad.

Compared to the previous time at Martial King Pavilion, where she seemed to be elevated, the simple life couldn’t compare to now.

At least, now she could enjoy the wonderful feeling of shopping with her sisters again.
