Apocalyptic Flood: Sexy Beauty Neighbor's Midnight Plea for Food

Chapter 613: Chapter 254: Reviving from Ruins, Major Construction Efforts_3

Liang Yuan didn’t immediately deal with the commercial complex but instead started to build the slaughterhouse and breeding farm first.

Liang Yuan laughed, ”We catch fish and kill fish every day; we can’t do without a slaughterhouse. Moreover, I plan to add a septic tank later on, to use the manure in the plantation.”

”Ah? Won’t the smell be too strong?” Song Wen quickly asked.

Liang Yuan nodded and said, ”Therefore, the plantation should be placed where there’s sunlight and wind. I plan to tidy up the terraces outside the Fire Bamboo Forest.”

The two chatted about their plans while talking about other things.

During this time, Liang Yuan touched Song Wen’s soft hands several times, almost imperceptibly.

Song Wen’s face only slightly reddened, but she did not refuse and naturally held his hand.

Their relationship was now almost semi-public.

Except when they were around Yang Mei, they hardly avoided others.

Oh, it’s almost the same with Ding Yan.

However, Ding Yan doesn’t like staying in the shelter all the time; she often leads people out hunting mutant beasts.

Additionally, people were stationed and guarded at three places: Martial King Pavilion, Meihai Garden, and Phoenix Temple.

Liang Yuan didn’t plan to let go of these places; since they were going to take over all of Yangshan, these places definitely needed to be stationed with people.

Currently, Yangshan’s structure is centered around the Fire Bamboo Forest, radiating to other shelter camps.

Daily supplies and supplements are all obtained from the Fire Bamboo Forest. They can also catch fish themselves and send them to the Fire Bamboo Forest.

For this purpose, Liang Yuan specially took out a few water-soaked cars. Fortunately, someone in the shelter could repair the cars. After some electronic components were replaced, the cars were actually still usable.

These cars are the most valuable transportation equipment currently.

The winding mountain road was also repaired; vines, weeds, and branches on both sides were chopped off, exposing the curbs.

Zhao Kai, Cai Zhi, and others really liked these cars. So they made spacious caves nearby to prevent the cars from being damaged by mutant beasts when the sea tide came.

Truthfully, it was completely unnecessary. When the sea tide came, Liang Yuan could simply put the cars back into his inventory.

But he understood everyone’s affection for the cars, so he didn’t hinder their enthusiasm.

The two strolled around the shelter base. The commercial complex had already dug out four or five floors, with large and small partition storefronts inside.

The walls were reinforced again, not only with tough Fire Bamboo but with Earth Attribute Superpower Stones.

The reinforcement with Fire Bamboo and Earth Attribute Superpower Stones added some color to the stone walls. In terms of lighting, Liang Yuan also had people leave lines.

There were plenty of lights in his inventory; when he left Henglong Building, he really cleaned out everything.

Just waiting for this place to be completed, he would install the power generation equipment extracted by the system to supply power to the entire commercial complex.

Not just the commercial complex, but also the cave houses and bamboo buildings in this mountain valley, and the plantation base, would all be fitted with electric lights.

As dusk fell, Liang Yuan and Song Wen finished strolling around the base and returned to their cave home outside the Fire Bamboo Forest.

Yang Mei had already prepared dinner and was discussing with Dong Yan and the others about opening a storefront to do some business once the commercial complex opened.

Liang Yuan listened to their serious talk and couldn’t help but laugh.

”Sister Mei, are you serious about opening a store?”

Yang Mei’s beautiful eyes sparkled, ”Of course, Yanyan and I have already decided. We’re going to open a cinema.”

”Everyone is busy with survival now, but they’ll need to relax later. Cinema is definitely a popular project.”

Liang Yuan laughed helplessly, ”Then I’ll have to charge you for electricity.”

Yang Mei hugged his arm and smiled, ”You can’t give us special treatment, or it would break the rules and make people think we got in through the back door. That’s not good.”

Liang Yuan’s expression changed, ”Through the back door?”

Yang Mei’s smile froze; she immediately knew what he was thinking and blushed, ”What are you thinking?”

Liang Yuan laughed, ”Hey, your thoughts are impure, don’t blame me.”

”Annoying!”

She patted Liang Yuan’s arm and then whispered, ”My period is here. You should go to Song Wen’s place tonight.”

Liang Yuan’s heart warmed, pretending to be troubled, ”That’s... not good.”

Yang Mei rolled her eyes, ”She’s already moved in; what are you pretending for?”

After the sea tide last time, Liang Yuan let Song Wen and Dong Yan move in.

After sweeping through the three shelters, Ding Yan was also not shy, though she didn’t ask to move in. She did tell Liang Yuan that he had to keep a room for her.

Liang Yuan immediately dug out another bedroom, specifically for Ding Yan.

Ding Yan sometimes returns home when she’s not at the mining area or other shelters.

Though they haven’t officially been together, they’re essentially considered a couple.

Yang Mei also clearly accepted this peculiar relationship.

Not far away, Song Wen, who was busy serving dishes, had a slightly red face and her movements seemed somewhat unnatural.

Clearly, with her Superpower User constitution, she had already heard their conversation.

She was just pretending to be calm at this moment.

At night, Ding Yan did not return; she had already told Liang Yuan and the others that she would be leading the team at Meihai Garden today.

So only Yang Mei, Dong Yan, Song Wen, and Liang Yuan were left at home.

Dinner was very sumptuous, with vegetables, soup, meat, and even cold dishes.

Dong Yan returned and cheered upon seeing the table full of dishes, ”Wow! We’re eating so well today?”

Yang Mei laughed, ”Where’s your brother? Has he eaten? If not, call him to eat together.”

Dong Yan waved her hands, ”He’s eating communal meals with Gu Feng and Brother Kai at the commercial complex base.”

Song Wen asked, ”Isn’t he tired of eating communal meals every day?”

Dong Yan laughed, ”We’ve only had good days for a few days. If he dares to say he’s tired, I’ll beat him to death.”

”Besides, the communal meals over there aren’t tiresome; there are three dishes every day, with white meat, red meat, and vegetables. There’s also soup. The people from the three shelters couldn’t eat such good meals before.”

”I’ve heard them say many times in private that if they knew our meals were so good, they would have run over themselves rather than being forced.”

”Now many people are worried that a month later, when their service ends and the project is finished, they’ll be sent back.”

”If they are sent back, they won’t be able to eat such good meals anymore.”

Song Wen and Yang Mei exchanged glances and then laughed together.
