Apocalyptic Flood: Sexy Beauty Neighbor's Midnight Plea for Food

Chapter 630: Chapter 260: Taming the Giant Ape, The News Brought by Tu Long_2

But compared to the Black Gold Giant Ape, my pet’s strength seems to be dragging behind.

”When compared like this, I am on the same level as the Black Gold Giant Ape, not embarrassing at all.”

Tu Long quickly comforted himself.

He eagerly replied, ”I came back yesterday. The people at the shelter said you went into the mountains and haven’t returned. I waited the whole day and couldn’t wait any longer, so I came into the mountains to find you.”

In reality, he hurried into the mountains to look for Liang Yuan, hoping that Liang Yuan would have encountered some mishap. If Liang Yuan did get into trouble, he could immediately take over.

Of course, he now didn’t dare to entertain such thoughts at all.

It’s a joke—since even the Black Gold Giant Ape could be tamed as a pet, how could he dare have any thoughts?

Now, he just wanted to appear obedient, making sure that Mr. Liang wouldn’t detect his thoughts.

”Oh? You waited a whole day? Never thought of seeking revenge or destroying the Fire Bamboo Forest?”

Liang Yuan asked coldly, instantly making Tu Long break out in a cold sweat.

He quickly swore, ”Mr. Liang, I swear to heaven and earth, if I had such thoughts, then I’m a pig, and even a pig’s brain wouldn’t be as stupid as mine.”

Liang Yuan chuckled, ”That’s good. How did the thing I asked you to check on go?”

Tu Long breathed a sigh of relief, thinking it wouldn’t be too bad to tattoo a pig on himself later. A Tattoo Spirit Pig—what he said wouldn’t seem hypocritical then.

He quickly replied, ”I checked. I flew all the way past Yangshan and continued flying towards Guangfu for a long time.”

”There are still many survivors in those areas. Many people are organizing rafts and small boats, trying to make their way to the military base. It seems that past Yangshan, the radio signal gets much better.”

”Many people have received the broadcast messages from the Guangfu Military Base.”

”They see that place as their last hope for survival.”

Liang Yuan nodded slightly, which was not unexpected. He asked, ”What about the second thing?”

When talking about the second matter, Tu Long’s expression became much more serious. He said, ”I flew around, but indeed, I didn’t see any flying creatures.”

It turned out Liang Yuan sent him out not just to look for the Guangfu Military Base but also to search for traces of flying mutant beasts.

Because for so long, Liang Yuan had rarely seen any flying mutant creatures in Yangshan.

Strictly speaking, it was those larger-sized and stronger-flying mutant creatures.

Not the low-flying mutants like the Red Chicken or Flame Bird in the Black Gold Giant Ape’s cage.

But the giant monsters he encountered during the Sea Tide event, with beaks as sharp as guns.

Those monsters appeared very mysteriously. Liang Yuan had never seen them before, especially in Yangshan.

If it wasn’t for the Sea Tide, he might not have discovered the existence of these monsters.

So Liang Yuan specifically asked Tu Long, who could fly, to look for the habitat of these monsters nearby.

However, Tu Long’s words made Liang Yuan frown.

”Not a single one?”

Tu Long shook his head, ”Not a single one. It’s very strange.”

Liang Yuan fell silent. These monsters were huge, and it was impossible for them to be hiding underground.

This was extremely bizarre.

He shook his head slightly and said, ”Forget it. Let’s put this matter aside for now. By the way, how is the scale of Guangfu Military Base?”

Tu Long nodded and said, ”The Guangfu Military Base is built within the mountains. No, strictly speaking, the entire Guangfu area is mountainous, with a generally high terrain.”

”So many buildings there haven’t been submerged.”

”The water level here has reached above the twentieth floor, but over there, it’s only at the seventh or eighth floor. There are fewer mutant creatures underwater.”

”Because of the shallow water level, larger underwater creatures are rarer, so there are many survivors over there.”

”And the Guangfu government quickly responded by organizing rescue operations, taking people up the mountains, establishing shelters, and cooperating with the military base.”

”Currently, it seems that area is the safest in all of Linjiang City.”

Liang Yuan listened and shook his head slightly, ”That’s not right.”

Tu Long was taken aback, and Angna asked, ”What’s not right?”

”Guangfu District is near Lin Lake, which is vast, spanning three cities and containing many islands.”

”Guangfu’s terrain is indeed high, but it’s close to Lin Lake. How could there be no mutant creatures there?”

Tu Long recalled, ”Lin Lake might have mutant creatures, but the water level in Guangfu is indeed shallower than ours.”

Liang Yuan nodded, ”That doesn’t conflict. Even Yunnan, with its high altitude, has Erhai Lake.”

”High terrain doesn’t mean there are no large lakes or rivers.”

”But according to what you said, many people may have survived there. With the Guangfu government functioning and cooperating with the military, order should still exist.”

”Their situation is indeed better than other areas in Linjiang City.”

Tu Long couldn’t help but ask, ”Should we also go to the military for refuge? I specifically inquired, the military doesn’t question survivors about their past deeds.”

”On the contrary, if you are a Superpower User, you will receive various preferential treatments, and they have sufficient supplies, their industrial chain is intact, and they can still produce food and drinks.”

Liang Yuan slightly shook his head, ”Even if their industrial chain is intact, where does the food come from? Keep eating stored food?

”Without land to grow crops, with transportation cut off, northern grains and vegetables cannot be transported here, Guangfu will still be a dead end.”

Liang Yuan sighed, not optimistic about Guangfu.

Without finding a substitute for staple foods, the more people there are, the tighter the resources.
