The Dramatic Crown Princess Wants to Poison Me!

Chapter 791: Chapter 742: Scapegoat (Part 3)

Princess Ning anxiously said, ”Ye’er, tell Mother, what did Young Master Xuan instruct you to do? Who exactly did he want you to bring?”

Princess He Ye tearfully replied, ”He wanted me to bring Miss Xia, and I also instructed Ling Dang to bring Miss Xia, but I don’t know how someone got switched in the middle!”

Prince Ning was so angry his face turned dark, he flung his sleeves sharply and brooded silently on one side.

Firstly, angry at Huangfu Yuxuan for his nonsense, if you like the Prime Minister Xia’s niece, couldn’t you propose and get engaged directly? Instead, you resort to such low tactics, and use his Prince Ning Mansion to stir up trouble.

Secondly, furious that even his princess and daughter were involved, not only failing in their task but making a blunder.

As a result, the deed was done, trouble arose, Huangfu Yuxuan was dissatisfied, and who knows how the Zhao Family will hold it against the Prince Ning Mansion.

Princess Ning was also stunned, she previously thought Huangfu Yuxuan was just putting on an act, now it seems they really got the wrong person.

While Prince Ning was rebuking Princess Ning, angry at his wife and daughter, the Prince Liang Mansion was also visited by an unexpected guest.

The visitor was Assistant Minister of War Wei Yuqing.

Upon arriving at the Prince Liang Mansion, Wei Yuqing didn’t see Prince Liang, but went directly to see Huangfu Yuxuan.

In the study, Huangfu Yuxuan met with his uncle.

After Wei Yuqing sat down, his first words were, ”I already know about this incident, Yuxuan, what are you planning to do?”

Huangfu Yuxuan frowned, what was he planning to do? He didn’t like Zhao Keyan, marrying Zhao Keyan would mean he could no longer marry Xia Wenjin.

Seeing Huangfu Yuxuan remain silent, Wei Yuqing sighed and said, ”Jian’er said you don’t want to marry Miss Zhao. Your grandpa was going to come in person, but since the Zhao Family must be watching Prince Liang Mansion, only I came. I’m here to advise you, regardless of whom you wish to marry, now, you must put those thoughts aside and prepare to wed Miss Zhao properly!”

Huangfu Yuxuan said in a deep voice, ”The matter has been decided, Miss Zhao and I are both victims...”

”So what?” Wei Yuqing interrupted, ”Your grandfather just told me a moment ago, your father has already submitted a petition to confer you as the Princely Heir. At this critical moment, do you still want to gain a reputation for disregarding a woman’s reputation, having a physical relationship with Miss Zhao and not wanting to take responsibility? Do you think you can still secure the status of Princely Heir?”

Huangfu Yuxuan remained silent.

Indeed, if Grandfather knew about this, the petition would surely be denied.

Wei Yuqing earnestly continued, ”Think about it, if you don’t marry Miss Zhao, how will the Zhao Family treat you? They will surely see you as an enemy! What position does Grand Tutor Zhao hold in court? If he assists you, it’s a great help; if he opposes you, how much of a chance do you have? Are you really going to make the same mistake as your father, losing a great opportunity because of a woman?”

Huangfu Yuxuan was still unwilling, he retorted defiantly, ”So according to Uncle, I can only marry Miss Zhao? But we were both framed, why should I bear this responsibility?”

Wei Yuqing replied, ”You’re being foolish! This isn’t according to Uncle’s intention, it’s Heaven’s will! This is Heaven’s way of helping you, with Grand Tutor Zhao’s support, it’s like adding wings to a tiger. Previously, your grandfather and I advised you to prepare the betrothal gifts and propose to the Zhao Family early, but you kept delaying. See, even Heaven couldn’t stand it and gave you a nudge, you and Miss Zhao are destined.”

He laughed, ”You not only have to marry Miss Zhao, but do so happily and grandly! This will please the Zhao family and cover up the small errors between you, and the Emperor won’t be troubled with the conferment issue. A win-win situation, with your vision and perspective, can’t you see it clearly?”

Huangfu Yuxuan stayed silent, how could he not understand? He understood everything.

However, his uncle and grandfather only saw Grand Tutor Zhao’s present glory, they didn’t know the wonders of the Stargazing Method, nor who the predestined woman measured by it was for him.

Furthermore, Grand Tutor Zhao held great influence in court, but so did Prime Minister Xia.

Now it’s too late to say anything.

Huangfu Yuxuan said gloomily, ”Uncle, rest assured, I will prepare the betrothal gifts tomorrow and propose to the Zhao Mansion!”

Wei Yuqing disapprovingly said, ”Why wait until tomorrow? If you’re going to do it, do it now and do it splendidly. Proceed immediately and do it well! First, show the Zhao Family your sincerity, second, let the Emperor know your responsibility!”
