The Dramatic Crown Princess Wants to Poison Me!

Chapter 164: Chapter 164: The Wise Master

Amidst the fierce energy attacks launched by Master Lu and the four others, Ming Cheng twisted his body into an impossible angle, unleashing his finger force, and clashed heavily with the four of them. After breaking out of their encirclement, he said, ”Benefactors, please hear this old monk out!”

Master Lu and the others were shocked. Was this abbot monk’s martial arts really this strong?

Encircled with no gaps, yet the monk escaped effortlessly?

They were puzzled and astonished. Xia Wenjin glanced and roughly guessed their identities, then asked crisply, ”Are you people of Sang Xuewei? Where is she?”

Master Lu guardedly replied, ”Who are you?”

Xia Wenjin smiled and said, ”We are her friends!”

Of course, Master Lu and the others wouldn’t believe her just based on that statement. However, the situation was complicated; they didn’t know the intentions of these people and realized it wouldn’t be easy to launch a sneak attack on the abbot again, so they decided to watch and wait.

Seeing that they’ve stopped fighting, the Supervisor quickly said, ”Abbot Master, these thugs...”

Ming Cheng did not let him continue, and said in a deep voice, ”Take them down!”

The Supervisor was delighted, saying, ”Yes, Master, wise decision. These people are ruthless and attack the monks arbitrarily. They must be pirates, and should be captured and held accountable!”

Master Lu and his companions were also enraged, ready to fight desperately as soon as someone made a move.

However, Ming Xuan led the monks to swiftly surround the Supervisor and his associates. Fists, kicks, and sticks flew, as if an autumn wind sweeping away fallen leaves, and under the Supervisor’s shocked and terrified gaze, they were all subdued.

The Supervisor trembled, ”Ab... Abbot Master... what... what is going on...”

Ming Xuan replied coldly, ”Don’t you know what you’ve done?”

Master Lu and his companions were stunned, not understanding what was happening.

Ming Cheng raised a single palm to greet them with a Buddhist salute, ”Benefactors, sorry for the trouble. The temple has been infested with traitors; it’s all this old monk’s fault! Please rest assured, this old monk will clear the house and provide an explanation to the benefactors!”

Master Lu and his companions were doubtful, but knowing that Ming Cheng’s martial arts are superior and there are more people, there was no need for deception.

Xia Wenjin said anxiously, ”There’s something wrong with the back mountain, my friend hasn’t appeared yet, he might have been secretly harmed, I’m going to find him!”

Saying this, she ignored the drama between the Supervisor, Ming Cheng, and Ming Xuan, and hurried towards the back.

Ming Cheng left some people to guard the Supervisor and the monks, and followed behind Xia Wenjin.

Master Lu and his companions hesitated for a moment, then decided to follow and see.

Xia Wenjin led the way, and as she rounded the monk’s residence, a blood-stained figure wrapped in a fierce, bloody aura rushed towards her, pulling her into an embrace and holding her tightly.

His head buried in Xia Wenjin’s shoulder, his heavy and warm breath burst onto her neck, as if wanting to merge her completely into his body.

Having just seen clearly who it was, Xia Wenjin didn’t have time to say a word before being caught off guard and embraced.

She rolled her eyes to the sky, almost wanting to laugh and cry at the same time.

It had only been a few hours since they last saw each other, and he acted as if they were meeting again after years, was it necessary?

Next to her ear, Huangfu Jingchen’s worried and fearful voice sounded, ”You guessed right, there’s something wrong with this temple. The missing women we’re looking for are all in the back mountain, and the monks here are ruthless, licentious, and immoral, not real monks. Knowing that your side is definitely more dangerous, I was worried sick, luckily you’re fine! Otherwise, I’d demolish Shian Temple to the ground!”

The last sentence was spoken harshly, filled with intensity, yet with domineering presence.

While confronting the evil monks one by one, later, he was noticed by them, with several men rushing out to surround him. Recognizing them, those were the seven of the eight deacons he had seen before.

At that moment, his anger was beyond measure.

He also realized, it wasn’t just a few or a dozen monks violating the rules, but the whole temple was corrupt.

If that was the case, Xia Wenjin would be in great danger.

He couldn’t imagine, if something happened to Xia Wenjin...

He wanted to end the fight quickly, get to Xia Wenjin soon, but these monks resorted to all sorts of devious and treacherous means, making the fight no easy task.

Worried for Xia Wenjin, he endured the intense battle with the deacon monks, with the thought that if anything happened to Xia Wenjin, he would level Shian Temple to the ground!

Xia Wenjin initially intended to push him away immediately, but as she lifted her hand, she paused.

It turned out to be worry that made him lose his composure upon seeing her.

The strong scent of blood on his body, his black clothes in tatters everywhere, Xia Wenjin knew he had also gone through a fierce battle.

Evidently, both sides were not easy places. Huangfu Jingchen was injured, and she almost had to jump off a cliff outside the window.

Fortunately, all was over, and both were safe!

Feeling Huangfu Jingchen’s anxious worry, she had no doubt that his last words were not an exaggeration, he would truly do it. Being kept in one’s thoughts like this, a small warmth rose in her heart.

But being held by a young man like this, Xia Wenjin was uncomfortable, her whole body stiff, yet Huangfu Jingchen was unaware, and his arms tightened, almost suffocating her.

She had to gently pat his back and said, ”Brother Huang, though I’m dressed as a woman, I’m a man. Would you not find it somewhat disgusting to hold a man like this?”

Huangfu Jingchen suddenly came to his senses.

He was too worried earlier, thinking that if the back mountain was so perilous, how much more dangerous would Xia Wenjin’s side be in the temple, and in his anxiety and joy when he saw her appear before him, he pulled her into his embrace without thinking.

Now hearing Xia Wenjin’s words, he let go.

Disgusting? Not really.

Earlier, all he felt was worry, growing more anxious, wishing he could fly to Xia Wenjin’s side immediately to see her.

Seeing she stood safe before him, the excitement and joy made him forget everything, feeling only a complete sense of relief.

His eyes still fixed on Xia Wenjin, he asked with concern, ”Are you alright?”

”I’m fine!” Xia Wenjin was speechless, secretly grianhaing, this cheeky boy, hugged too tightly, her body was numb.

Huangfu Jingchen sensed someone approaching, and as he looked up, he saw Ming Cheng and Ming Xuan in front, his face immediately darkened, pulling Xia Wenjin behind him protectively, his eyes cold, his demeanor guarded, ready for battle.

Ming Cheng stopped seven or eight steps away, raised a single palm, ”Amitabha!”

Kong Chan poked his head from behind, seeing Huangfu Jingchen’s tense demeanor, quickly said, ”On the same side, on the same side!”

Ming Cheng asked, ”What happened here?”
