The Dramatic Crown Princess Wants to Poison Me!

Chapter 162: Chapter 162: Evil Deeds

In the mountain temple, suddenly seeing such a place, although a bit unusual, it might be reasonable if there were no monks guarding outside.

Huangfu Jingchen looked at the two monks guarding the door, knowing that things weren’t that simple.

Just looking at the sharp thorns on the surrounding walls, one could see the strict vigilance. It seemed that to enter the courtyard, the only way was through the main gate.

From behind a tree a few meters away, Huangfu Jingchen flicked a pebble from his hand.

The two monks at the door exchanged a look, and the one on the left cautiously walked over. Huangfu Jingchen pressed himself against the shadow behind the tree, motionless.

The monk saw nothing unusual, raised his head for a glance, and noticed a small fruit on the tree occasionally falling to the ground, thinking it must be the sound of fruit dropping.

The monk at the door said, ”What’s the situation?”

This monk replied, ”Nothing, just the sound of fruit falling!”

Feeling relieved after finding the sound source, the monk suddenly felt an urgent need, walked under the tree, unfastened his pants, and began to relieve himself.

The monk at the door laughed and scolded, ”I told you not to drink so much wine!” and then stopped watching over there.

Huangfu Jingchen was almost suffocated by the stench of that urine, but he remained still, quickly turning out from behind the tree, striking the monk’s neck with a hand chop.

The monk fell down without even making a sound.

Huangfu Jingchen propped the monk against the tree and swiftly moved towards the gate.

At that moment, with the dim moonlight, he was dressed in black, moving through the shadows of the trees and buildings with the stealth of a cat, unnoticed by the monk at the door. Looking at the monk beneath the tree, he mocked, ”Is he hugging the tree as if it’s a beauty? Drunkard!”

At this moment, Huangfu Jingchen suddenly sprang up, punching the monk on the temple, causing the monk’s eyes to roll back as he silently collapsed to the ground.

Huangfu Jingchen slipped into the courtyard.

There weren’t many people in the courtyard either.

Everyone had been summoned to the front to deal with Master Lu and his group of four.

Sang Xuewei’s frantic rush, Master Lu and the others’ anxious search, the Jianghu people’s fiery tempers, Sang Xuewei’s accusations after showing up, and the ensuing chaos inadvertently cleared the way for Huangfu Jingchen.

As soon as he entered the courtyard, he heard sounds of lewd laughter, screams, cries, curses, whips, and pleas for mercy...

There were seven or eight rooms in the courtyard, each with different sounds coming from them.

But all those screams, cries, and pleas for mercy were, without exception, women’s voices.

Even without looking, just hearing those sounds would make you know this place was like hell on earth.

Anger accumulated in Huangfu Jingchen’s eyes as he first approached a window to look inside.

The room was three meters wide and four to five meters long, with curtains fluttering, a table with wine and meat on the side, a few monks each holding a woman in their arms, the women appearing sorrowful, forced smiles on their faces, a corner showing a woman seemingly resisting, beaten black and blue.

Suppressing his anger, Huangfu Jingchen went to look at the second room.

There was only one bare-chested monk here, with fierce features and glaring eyes, holding a whip in his hand. Four to five women had barely any clothes on, whip marks everywhere. If he was displeased, he would casually lash a whip, still holding a woman in his arm, taking advantage, leaving the poor women with nowhere to hide, eyes filled with despair, faces ashen.

Huangfu Jingchen really wanted to go in and twist that man’s neck, but he knew well that now he was alone, and he couldn’t save everyone. He came to save people and couldn’t act rashly. Now he had to figure out the whole situation and devise a foolproof plan.

The fourth room had a large bed, four monks, seven or eight women. All were in disarray, the scene debauched.

The fifth room, the sixth room, the seventh room...

Each room had roughly the same situation.

Huangfu Jingchen counted; there were twenty-three women and twelve monks. These monks were all martial artists; currently, it was unclear how skilled they were. He could try, but the consequence might be that these monks, to cover their tracks, would kill those women to silence them.

Not to mention killing them all, even killing just one or two, for him, was unacceptable.

He came to save lives; those women were already pitiful enough, how could he let them die at the hands of these villains right before his eyes?

When he and Xia Wenjin descended the mountain during the day, he had instructed Jiang Ning to head to the nearby Da Jin Prefecture for reinforcements. But the journey was long, and he had no concrete evidence at the time. It was uncertain whether Da Jin Prefecture would send anyone, and even if they dispatched someone right away, it would be daylight by the time they arrived.

Regarding whether Da Jin Prefecture would send help, Huangfu Jingchen wasn’t worried. He sent Jiang Ning, whose silver tongue could convince anyone; he could handle it.

Shian Temple harbored dirt, affecting the pious people for hundreds of miles around.

Only by exposing their true faces and handing them over to the Government could they receive their deserved punishment. If he made a move to kill them, that would be private justice, and no one else would know about the things in Shian Temple, still left in the dark.

However, to just stand by and watch those women being bullied by wicked monks, he ultimately couldn’t do it.

Furthermore, he knew clearly that the reason there were few people here was because people were temporarily reassigned. Currently, these monks were distributed across different rooms, and if he could defeat them one by one, he might not alert the others?

Thinking about it, he took action.

Huangfu Jingchen first chose the room on the far right with a lone monk.

Alone, only in terms of numbers.

Those monks alone in a room were even more vile, clearly tasked with breaking the will of disobedient women, a martial artist, a strong man, holding a whip, the room even had a brazier with red-hot iron, and towards those weak women, he would beat or scold or intimidate and torture.

Those weak women, facing such situations, could do nothing but cry in despair and succumb to submission.

Ultimately, they had no choice but to go against their will and bow to tyranny!

With a plan in mind, Huangfu Jingchen began to act.

He arrived outside the door of the rightmost room and knocked with his finger.

Inside, the glaring-eyed monk lashed a whip on a woman, eliciting a scream as she fell to the ground, while the other women shivered in fear, some kneeling and pleading for mercy.

The monk enjoyed this feeling of controlling others’ fates, picking up the brazier iron with one hand, looking threateningly at several women, seemingly considering whom to brand with it.

The sound of knocking, ”bang bang bang,” was particularly noticeable amidst the cries and pleas of the women.

The glaring-eyed monk was a bit impatient but quickly stood up.

The one knocking at this time must be the Deacon needing fresh ones.

He put down the iron and went to open the door.

As soon as the door opened a crack, he felt a tightness around his neck, a hand like an iron clamp gripping his throat.
