The Dramatic Crown Princess Wants to Poison Me!

Chapter 152: Chapter 152: Can’t Hold Them Back

Sang Xuewei smiled and shook her head, declining the kindness, saying it was getting late and she should return to the front Zen Temple.

The two monks saw Sang Xuewei’s smile, their expressions changed, from vigilance to amazement. Seeing her wanting to leave, they suddenly changed their tunes, sinisterly saying, ”Since you’ve come, Miss, don’t leave!”

They tacitly blocked Sang Xuewei’s way, one on the left and one on the right.

Seeing the situation turn unfavorable, Sang Xuewei exchanged a few moves with the two monks, who were responsible for carrying manure. When the mountain wind blew, the stench penetrated, making Sang Xuewei very disgusted and, in her disdain, also quite dismissive.

As the two monks attacked, they turned and shouted, and the monks under the corridor all started heading this way.

Although Sang Xuewei often sparred with her senior brothers, she was clear-minded that her senior brothers wouldn’t hurt her, so she didn’t have any psychological burden. In Jianghu, she might have some vanity, wanting to be a heroine to bring glory to her father, but it was only one-on-one scenarios. Facing such numerous, vicious-looking monks charging at her, she felt scared and wanted to flee.

A monk standing on the forefront tossed a handful of powder at her face.

In a state of panic, Sang Xuewei got powder all over her face, and waves of dizziness attacked her, coupled with the monks darting around her, fists and kicks, she ultimately couldn’t resist and was captured.

The powder would make people dizzy but not truly completely unconscious, she could still speak.

When the group of monks was carrying her to the woodshed in the backyard, fear and helplessness welled up inside her as she once again proclaimed her father was the Sect Leader of Xianglong Sword Sect, Sang Daokun.

However, Xia Wenjin knew Xianglong Sword Sect; the monks of Shian Temple weren’t all Jianghu people. They were recruited by Ming Qing, following him to commit evil acts, indulging in lust and greed, but they didn’t know much about Jianghu matters.

Therefore, regarding Xianglong Sword Sect, perhaps they only thought the name sounded mighty.

Such powers were abundant in Jianghu.

Now, alone in the dark, cold woodshed, although the current weather made it so she wouldn’t freeze even on the floor, her heart was still scared.

She had never been in such dangerous situations before; someone who had always been protected suddenly faced all the dangers and the unknown alone, she panicked.

She wanted to escape, but she didn’t know the construction of the powder; she was completely unable to move now, her limbs were powerless, and her inner strength couldn’t be summoned.

The door was right in front of her; although she knew it was locked from the outside, she couldn’t even reach the door’s edge, let alone think of a way to break the lock.

Through the window, she could see lights approaching from outside, followed by footsteps and voices:

”Senior brother, you only need to see for yourself, and I’m sure you’ll be amazed too. This woodshed is too simple and messy, lacking some interest. If you fancy her, I’ll have her sent to your room.”

”Let’s see first!”

”Please, senior brother, please!”

The door unlocked, and the limp Sang Xuewei on the ground looked at the two bald heads coming in, and her heart sank yet further.

Huang Zheng found out about this temple, showing it’s indeed problematic. What these two are saying further proves the point, yet she had no way to bring this information to Huang Zheng.

She was trying to help him but ended up in this situation instead.

Sang Xuewei was both scared and disheartened.

Now, alone here, Master Lu and the others don’t know. Who could come and rescue her?

The Lame Monk shook the lantern and turned to speak flatteringly, ”Senior brother, isn’t she fresh-looking?”

Supervisor took one look and instantly became fixated.

The woman was dressed all in black, but it couldn’t conceal her beauty. Her small face was fair and jade-like, eyes large, brows curved, lips rosy, radiating vitality, her gaze containing panic and grief. Yet, amid panic, there was a touch of composure; amid grief, still a sense of vigilance. How was she comparable to those previous women who were lost, pale, and only knew how to cry?

Seeing Supervisor became enthralled, Lame Monk smugly said, ”Senior brother, are you satisfied?”

Supervisor’s voice came hoarsely, ”Send her to my room!”

Lame Monk joyfully said, ”Alright, senior brother, go back and wait, she’ll be delivered shortly!”

Supervisor’s eyes were like hooks, scraping over Sang Xuewei’s face again, filled with greed and evil. Probably imagining the enjoyment he’d have when she was delivered to his room. He withdrew his gaze and said, ”Hurry up!”

As he turned to leave, suddenly footsteps came running from afar, someone calling out loudly, ”Senior brother, senior brother...”

Supervisor said irritably, ”What’s going on? So flustered!”

The approaching person was also a monk, dressed in rough cloth robes, panting he said, ”Senior brother, four men have come to the back mountain, claiming to look for their young lady. As soon as they arrived, they tried to barge in. Our brothers tried to stop them, but they are strong-handed, we can’t stop them!”

”Their young lady?” Supervisor instinctively glanced at Sang Xuewei, feeling some bad intuition, fearing that perhaps this girl really had some background.

He said in a deep voice, ”Let’s go, take a look!”

The door locked again, and Supervisor, along with Lame Monk, hurried away.

Sang Xuewei’s tense mood somewhat relaxed, four people, they must be Master Lu and the others.

It was set to meet at dusk, Master Lu and the four hadn’t seen her, thus they came to the back mountain searching.

It’s great that Master Lu came, they were strong in martial arts, surely they could save her.

Thinking about how these monks might use powder, she got a bit worried. But now she couldn’t do anything.

Her father had told her countless times about how sinister people in Jianghu could be, but she always thought that with her skills, even facing some schemes and tricks, she wouldn’t be helpless.

Now, she was scared to the point of nearly crying.

The smell of mildew, darkness, isolation, unknowns...

Fear slowly rose from the bottom of her heart, surrounding her entirely, that helplessness, that panic, that grievance blurred her vision.

At this moment, sounds came again from the lock.

Sang Xuewei’s heart jumped to her throat.

Could it be those people returned?

She couldn’t move at all now, if those terrible people really sent her to someone’s room, she knew the fate that awaited her.

She nervously watched the door, in the dim moonlight, a person slipped inside. She stared fiercely at the figure, the more she looked, the more familiar it seemed.

Tears that had been welling up finally streamed unrestrictedly; she opened her mouth but couldn’t make a sound.

Huangfu Jingchen quickly stepped forward, fingers forcefully breaking apart the ropes on her, then fed her an antidote. Fortunately, the powder the monks used was quite ordinary, and a simple antidote could counteract it.

Sang Xuewei cried out loudly.

Huangfu Jingchen said in a low voice, ”If you don’t want to lead them to catch you again, then shut up!”
