Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 2892: Chapter 2901: It’s Just Because Her Period Is Coming

If this little dummy didn’t have such an open, carefree personality, he wouldn’t tease her like that all the time.

Enna Clark watched him leave, shook her head helplessly, and stood up.

She didn’t know if it was because she had been squatting too long, but the moment she stood, she suddenly felt dizzy. Her vision went dark and she almost pitched forward onto the floor.

Luckily, a strong arm caught her, and right after that, her ears were almost blasted, ”Are you stupid? Squatting that long and not letting anyone pull you up, then suddenly standing up like that!”

Enna Clark let the wave of dizziness pass for a few seconds, then instantly saw the man who’d just finished breakfast, somehow already at her side, supporting her. His handsome, refined face was right in front of her, sharp and deep, like blazing fire, making it impossible to look away.

”I didn’t know it’d be this dizzy, it never was before...”

”Of course you’d be dizzy!” Baron Lawrence forcibly helped her sit on the sofa to rest a bit, swallowing the rest of his sentence back down.

Because you’re pregnant.

Enna Clark waited a long time but didn’t hear the rest. She thought he meant she’d squatted so long that of course she’d be dizzy, so she didn’t take it to heart. She pushed him away lightly. ”Okay, Baron Lawrence, I’m much better now, I’m not dizzy anymore. You don’t have to fuss over me. Go change your clothes, I’ll wait for you and we’ll go down together.”

The noble man didn’t let go and walk away right away. On the contrary, he seemed really nervous about her, even frowning as he reached out to touch her lower abdomen and asked, ”Anywhere feel uncomfortable? Do you want me to take you to the Hospital for a checkup?”

His palm on her made Enna Clark feel all ticklish and itchy. She laughed and dodged while pulling his hand away in annoyance. ”No need to make such a big deal out of it. It’s not like I fell, I just squatted too long and my legs went numb. Even if I go to the Hospital, the doctor can’t cure that.”

How do you treat numb legs?

It’s not like you can slap on two plasters.

Baron Lawrence was still uneasy about her. ”Enna Clark, you really don’t feel uncomfortable anywhere? Like your stomach...does it feel off?”

If he hadn’t specifically mentioned her stomach, Enna Clark wouldn’t have thought anything of it. But since he did, she suddenly remembered his odd behavior lately. She couldn’t help lifting her bright eyes to him, asking in confusion, ”What’s wrong with my stomach, exactly? I really feel like you’ve been especially concerned about my stomach lately.”

Her clear gaze made Baron Lawrence’s breathing pause for a second. He immediately looked away and let her go. ”It’s nothing, I’m just worried about you, just asking.”

”But...”

He quickly found the perfect excuse. ”Isn’t your menstruation about to come? I’m just worried you’ll be in pain again like before.”

Enna Clark couldn’t find any flaw in that explanation for the moment.

Because every month when her period was about to start, he would be extra attentive, telling Joanne Harrison to boil Brown Sugar water for her, and practically wanting to keep her tied to his side during those days, watching over whether she was resting properly or touching cold water...

So he’s been touching her stomach these last few days because her period is about to come?

Enna Clark still felt something was off, but couldn’t say exactly what. Baron Lawrence didn’t give her time to keep suspecting anything. He stood up first and walked toward the bedroom. ”Give me five minutes. Go change your shoes first, I’ll be right out.”

”Oh, okay.” Seeing him head off to change clothes, Enna Clark’s attention was pulled back. She obediently stood up and went to the Entrance Hall to change her shoes.

In less than five minutes, he finished changing and came out. He naturally took Enna Clark’s hand and pulled her along. ”Let’s go, I’ll take you guys over to the Old Man’s place.”
