Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 2854: Chapter 2863: The Real Backer Is Dominance

She walked out of the hospital, and her assistant quickly ran over to open the door of the luxury car for her. Noticing she was on a call, he cautiously asked, ”President Sullivan, should we go to the coffee shop on Roman Street now? Should I inform Young Master Sinclair?”

”No need, he’s probably not in the mood to care where I’m going at the moment.” Mentioning Adam Sinclair, Sydney Sullivan’s furrowed brows relaxed. She thought for a moment and instructed the assistant, ”Go back and bring me the chicken soup that I asked Auntie Merry to stew. It’s made with an old hen that was cooked for three hours, it should be good for recovery.”

The assistant couldn’t believe how attentive she was towards Olivia Lewis, paused for a second, then nodded, ”Okay.”

After giving these instructions, Sydney Sullivan opened the car door, gave him a cool glance, and said, ”Don’t let President Sinclair know about the chicken soup, do you understand what I mean?”

If Benjamin Sinclair knew she prepared chicken soup for his daughter-in-law, he would definitely realize her stance was supportive of his son.

To be safe, it was best for her to remain ambiguous for now.

The assistant quickly glanced at her, understandingly responded, ”I understand. President Sullivan didn’t visit the hospital today nor saw Ms. Lewis.”

Sydney Sullivan was most pleased with his quick-wittedness and said happily, ”End-of-month bonus for you.”

With that, she elegantly opened the car door and sat inside.

The assistant closed the car door for her and watched the luxury car drive away before hailing a cab to Sydney Sullivan’s mansion to fetch the chicken soup.

Looks like Ms. Lewis is really on the rise, he thought. He should be more proactive towards the future Young Madam to secure his place in the team and reap the benefits later.

...

Although Sydney Sullivan left suddenly, it was indeed like she told the assistant, Adam Sinclair didn’t even notice she had left.

It wasn’t until the assistant delivered the chicken soup that they found out she had gone to Roman Street to handle some business temporarily.

Aside from the initial dizziness Olivia Lewis felt for over ten minutes, she gradually started recovering and became more alert.

When the assistant brought the chicken soup, Adam Sinclair immediately poured a bowl for her, carefully skimming off the oil floating on the surface, blowing it cool with a spoon, then adjusted the height of the hospital bed before feeding her a bowl.

One was feeding, the other quietly drinking, creating a warm atmosphere seemingly impervious to others.

Sunny watched with envy; seeing that Olivia Lewis, though pale, was gradually recovering, she too sighed in relief and relaxed. After Olivia finished the bowl of chicken soup, Sunny proposed to Adam Sinclair, ”Young Master Sinclair, with Olivia’s shoulder injured, she can’t work for at least two months. I was thinking of canceling her contract for the film ’Time Knows’ so she can fully recover. What do you think?”

She had also read the film’s script; it was quite unique but clearly a niche piece unlikely to be a blockbuster. Now with Olivia injured, the film would have to be dropped.

”No need, she likes it. I’ll have the director shoot other scenes first and film hers last.” Adam Sinclair didn’t blink an eye.

He was the biggest investor in the film, sometimes his words carried more weight than the director’s. As the investor behind the scenes, he had the authority to delay filming for Olivia Lewis. He initially invested in the film to make sure she enjoyed filming it without disruptions. Whatever she liked, he would unconditionally support her in doing it.

Sunny also remembered Adam Sinclair was the film’s biggest investor, and hearing his decision, she said no more.
