Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 2879: Chapter 2888: He Pretended to Be Asleep on Purpose

Returning from the seaside to the hospital, Olivia Lewis’s lips were in a smile; after letting go of years of emotional knots, she felt a sense of relief.

While Adam Sinclair went to find the doctor, she took out her phone to send Enna Clark a message.

...

On the other side.

In the luxurious home at Birch Garden, the phone by the pillow on the bed chimed, waking the person from their sleep.

”Uh-huh...” Enna Clark turned over, shifted her position, and drowsily reached out to feel for her phone.

The motion of reaching out tugged at the muscles in her waist, sending a sour and bitter sensation through the muscles connecting her waist and arm, like ants biting her.

Enna Clark became much more alert, furrowing her brows as she remembered someone from last night behaving like a beast, insisting on tussling with her all night.

Those domineering and fiery images flashed in her mind again, making Enna Clark flustered as she forced herself not to think about them, chasing away much of her sleepiness.

Her fingers were just about to touch the phone.

Suddenly, an arm from beside her embraced her waist, pulling her back forcefully.

Her back was compressed slightly, and Enna Clark could feel the man’s breath wafting over her back through her thin silk pajamas.

Just like an electric shock!

But now her waist was sore and her legs weak, absolutely no energy for another round; one more time and she’d probably die in bed.

She twisted her head to tug at someone’s domineering arm on her waist, softly reminding him, ”Baron Lawrence, wake up, let go of me first, I want to check the phone, it might be a message from Olivia.”

The man pretended to sleep with his eyes shut, his sharp, carved features deep and smooth, his tall nose like undulating hills, strikingly three-dimensional.

Even with his eyes closed, he exuded a powerful presence and incomparable innate elegance!

Enna Clark saw his slightly quivering thick eyelashes and knew he was not actually sleeping, just purposely pretending to ignore her!

”Baron Lawrence, I know you’re awake, let go, I need my phone.”

She complained, trying to break free from his embrace. The pretending man finally frowned, unhappy, opening his breathtakingly beautiful eyes, ”You’re so noisy!”

Enna Clark struggled to pry open his iron-like arm for a long time and said helplessly, ”You’re the one who intentionally hugged me and wouldn’t let me get my phone; I had no choice but to wake you.”

”Uh.” The domineering and stylish man didn’t seem to hear the protest in her words, lifting her up and flipping over, directly pinning her waist to restrict her actions. He shut his eyes again, ”It’s still early, let me sleep a bit longer.”

Enna Clark looked at his elegant, lazy closed eyelids in frustration, biting her lower lip, still thinking about the phone under the pillow. She leaned closer to negotiate, ”Baron Lawrence, can you let me get my phone before you sleep again? I don’t even know what time it is, and I just heard my phone ring, maybe it’s a message from Olivia...”

”...” Damn!

As she leaned closer, the sweet, natural fragrance on her body drifted into his breath!

Baron Lawrence’s lower abdomen involuntarily tensed, following with a tightening below.

Morning is the worst time for a man to be teased. She dared to get so close to him! Wasn’t that intentionally tempting him to commit a crime?

Enna Clark was unaware of his changes below; she only knew someone was obviously awake and deliberately pretending sleep, not letting her check her phone.

”Baron Lawrence...”
