Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 2850: Chapter 2859: Why Hasn’t She Woken Up Yet?

Baron Lawrence watched his every move closely. Seeing him close the door, relax onto the sofa, and rub his aching temples, the tension in his thin, tight lips eased.

Finally off to sleep.

Who on earth does he take after with that stubborn personality?

After resting on the sofa with his eyes closed for a few minutes, his weary eyes felt somewhat relieved. He opened them again, glanced at the peacefully sleeping person in the hospital bed from afar, and picked up the documents in front of him once more, delving back into his work...

He needed to finish his work in the coming days as quickly as possible; the sooner he completed it, the more time he could spend with her.

So tonight, he didn’t plan on sleeping.

The night was still very, very long...

The next morning, Olivia Lewis was awakened by the chirping voices at the bedside through the blinding sunlight.

”Why hasn’t she woken up yet?”

”Well, theoretically, Ms. Lewis should have woken up last night. The reason she hasn’t might be related to her constitution. Ms. Lewis’s body may be more sensitive to anesthetic drugs, causing the anesthetic effects remaining from the surgery to dilute more slowly than in ordinary people...”

”Are you saying she’s weak?” This voice sounded displeased.

The person resembling a doctor seemed awkwardly pressed as he nervously explained, ”No, what I mean is that Ms. Lewis’s body might be in better shape than the average person, causing her to react strongly to such drugs, possibly because she hasn’t used neurological drugs before.”

”I don’t want to know all that; I just want to know when Olivia will wake up.”

This voice was...

Olivia was trying hard to open her eyes amidst the haze.

”Mrs. Sinclair, there’s no way we can guarantee that for you. We initially estimated Ms. Lewis would wake up after seven hours, but she didn’t. This indicates that Ms. Lewis’s constitution differs from ordinary people, so I can’t provide an exact time.”

”Aren’t you supposed to be the doctors! You mean to tell me you don’t know anything!” Sydney Sullivan furiously questioned, ”As the attending doctor, how can you not know anything at all? I recall that Sinclair Corporation holds shares in this hospital...”

The doctor wiped the cold sweat from his forehead with a handkerchief under her aggressive pressure, helplessly explaining, ”Mrs. Sinclair, I truly can’t give you a precise time. I can only say that under normal circumstances, Ms. Lewis should wake up soon.”

Adam Sinclair’s handsome face darkened slightly.

Sydney Sullivan and Sunny were dissatisfied with the doctor’s response.

Sydney Sullivan furrowed her brows, displeased, ”That’s what you said last night, but look, it’s morning, and she’s still not awake. How long until she wakes up! Has Olivia been unconscious for so long because there’s something you haven’t checked, or because your surgery wasn’t as successful as you claimed?”

Her outburst in the hospital room even alarmed the Director. The Director and Deputy Director came to smooth things over with a smile, managing to somewhat calm Sydney Sullivan’s furious mood.

Just as the Director instructed the doctor to check Olivia Lewis once more, the hand of the person who had been in a coma on the hospital bed twitched.

”Olivia!” Sunny and Adam exclaimed simultaneously.

Sunny rushed excitedly to the bedside and happily told Sydney Sullivan, ”Mrs. Sinclair, Olivia’s finger just moved!”

”Really?” Sydney Sullivan was drawn over as well.

Suddenly, the edges of the hospital bed were crowded with people.
