Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 2808: Chapter 2817: Shot

His mind was a blank until Lydia called out to him, and he managed to calm down. As a man witnessing the chaos, he couldn’t just hide like a tortoise. He tried to stay composed, nodded to Lydia, and started to pull out his phone, ”Okay, let’s work together!”

Lydia also went looking for her phone.

Her dress had no pockets, so after she went on stage, she left her phone with her assistant. She remembered the assistant was at the backstage entrance.

Due to the sudden shooting incident, the backstage was also in chaos.

Wearing high heels made it difficult to walk. Gritting her teeth, she decided to take them off, and barefoot, she stumbled around until she found the assistant in the crowd. After getting her phone from the assistant, she immediately dialed the hospital’s emergency number, ”Hello, Emergency Medical Services? Someone’s been shot here! Please come quickly. The address is XXXXX. Hurry, the patient has lost a lot of blood, and we don’t know what to do.”

After making the call, she let out a sigh of relief, as if all the courage she had just built up was released. Her legs gave way, and she sat down on the ground.

A gun!

It’s the 21st century, yet there are still people daring to shoot in public.

She saw it clearly at the time, the bullet was aimed at Mrs. Lawrence’s heart. If Olivia Lewis hadn’t reacted quickly, noticed the gun, and immediately rushed over, it might not just be an injury now, but a fatality.

Lydia clutched her phone, her face pale, and surprisingly, she wasn’t thinking about Olivia being in trouble, and how she could become the main star of the movie. Instead, she hoped for the ambulance to come quickly, praying no one would get hurt...

...

The call was made promptly.

The police and doctors arrived almost simultaneously.

With the police there, the chaos at the scene was finally brought under control. The crowd was less frantic.

The police began questioning those remaining at the scene one by one.

Meanwhile, the medical staff brought in a stretcher, carefully separating Olivia Lewis, who was almost unconscious but steadfastly holding Enna Clark’s hand, not letting her see her appearance, and placed Olivia on the stretcher.

”Doctor, will Olivia’s life be in danger?”

As the doctor performed a quick check on Olivia, Sydney Sullivan asked anxiously beside him, her face pale.

After a preliminary examination, the doctor breathed a sigh of relief and told her, ”The patient’s life is not currently in danger, the bullet only hit her right shoulder. However, the patient has lost a lot of blood, and we need to rush her to the hospital for surgery to remove the bullet from her shoulder.”

”Okay.”

Hearing that there was no immediate threat to life, Sydney Sullivan’s pale expression finally settled a bit.

Just then, she heard Emily Goldsmith’s exclamation from behind, ”Enna!”

She turned around to see Enna Clark, covered in blood, collapsing—

The nerves Sydney Sullivan had finally managed to relax suddenly tensed up again.

Enna Clark’s status was too significant. If something happened to her while attending Olivia Lewis’s press conference, she couldn’t imagine what that man would do.

Baron Lawrence was rumored to be mercurial, ruthless.

His only weakness was indeed Mrs. Lawrence.

If anything should happen to Enna Clark, Country W might truly be turned upside down!

”Quick, get Ms. Clark checked and sent to the hospital too!” Under immense pressure, Sydney Sullivan became completely composed, calmly instructing the nearby bodyguard, ”Call President Lawrence, inform him of the situation here. Check if there are enough ambulances to transport both individuals; if not, take my car to quickly get them to the hospital!”
