Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 2830: Chapter 2839: How Do You Plan to Handle It

”Adam?” Renee appeared hurt.

The doctor, left with no choice, revealed his findings, ”Young Master Sinclair, I found Miss Anderson’s fluids on you during my examination just now.”

Adam could hardly believe his ears.

They found Renee’s... on him.

This was practically a stamp of evidence that he had been involved with Renee!

But that’s impossible. He didn’t feel anything. Up until now, he never felt like he betrayed Olivia. If he had truly betrayed Olivia, he should be feeling utterly disgusted. How could he feel nothing at all?

Adam held his head, the pain intensifying, ”Impossible, impossible...”

Renee bit her lip, acting magnanimous, ”Adam, don’t be like this, I’m not asking you to take responsibility. You don’t need to be responsible for me.”

Of course, the doctor found her fluids on Adam because she used every last moment to hastily apply them.

The goal was to make the doctor mistakenly believe they had been involved.

The process was sordid, but she had no other choice.

Even in his unconscious state, Adam was still drawn to Olivia Lewis, gripping her wrist, giving her no chance to come near. With Baron Lawrence arriving so quickly, all she could do was fabricate the evidence.

She had learned this tactic from the mistress of her former fiancé.

Back then, that woman was just a maid, yet she schemed to climb up to the Crown Prince, using this plan. Had it not been for that woman teaching her, she never would have believed women could resort to such despicable measures.

And she certainly never guessed that one day she’d resort to such sordid tactics to frame another man.

”Impossible...” Adam didn’t hear her words, he remained holding his head, in extreme agony.

Baron Lawrence observed Renee’s expression thoroughly, frowning as he sensed something fishy. He still couldn’t believe Adam would fall for a woman like this.

”How did you get tangled up with her?”

Although Adam was in pain, he could hear Baron Lawrence a bit, and raised his head to recount the events at the bar. In conclusion, he asserted with utmost certainty, ”There was something wrong with that drink.”

”I know there’s a problem. I’ve already sent someone to investigate the bartender. But the ’coincidence’ is, after making you that drink, the bartender went abroad.” He mentioned coincidence but narrowed his hawk-like eyes with a trace of sarcasm, making it clear this was no coincidence, ”You should know very well who drugged you. I’m asking you now, how do you plan on handling it?”

The drugging was undoubtedly done by Renee.

There was no doubt about it.

Any man with a bit of sense wouldn’t be fooled by Renee’s performance. The question was how to handle matters afterward.

Now there was no way to prove he and Renee hadn’t been involved, and the doctor’s results clearly leaned towards them having been.

Baron Lawrence didn’t care whether they had been involved or not. He was more interested in knowing how Adam intended to handle this matter.

Whether he would take responsibility or choose something else.

If Adam decided to be responsible for Renee, Baron wouldn’t stop him. As he mentioned before, even if Olivia lost her connection with Adam, just considering how Olivia disregarded danger to shield Enna Clark from that bullet, he’d ensure Olivia spent her life thriving in the entertainment industry.

It all depended on Adam’s choice.

Would he take responsibility like a man, or make a harsher choice?
