Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 2797: Chapter 2806: She Didn’t Even Notice Him at All

Birch Garden.

Nightfall has just descended outside the floor-to-ceiling windows. Enna Clark has just gotten off the plane not long ago, finished showering, and sat on the sofa drinking milk when she received a call from Olivia Lewis. As she plugged her earphones into the phone, she held her milk with both hands and blew it, ”So, Adam’s mom is coming tomorrow too?”

”Yeah, she said she’ll be there. Enna, what do you think my future mother-in-law means by this?”

Enna Clark took a sip of milk, but it was too hot and she backed off with a smile and answered Olivia Lewis, ”It doesn’t mean anything, just that she’s showing support for you. I bet now Young Master Sinclair has privately discussed with his mom about you two getting married. It seems she’s accepted you. Congratulations, Olivia. Young Master Sinclair probably put a lot of thought into convincing his mom. The fact that he’s willing to do it shows he’s a responsible man.”

”Oh, speaking of responsible men, I think President Lawrence is the most responsible. But President Lawrence is too responsible! Luckily, you like him. If you hadn’t fallen for him, your life would’ve been miserable.”

Enna Clark imagined the possibility of not liking Baron Lawrence but someone else, yet being pursued by Baron Lawrence, and she shuddered all over.

Suddenly, a blanket was draped over her back, and a domineering voice from behind gently showed concern, ”Are you cold? Why are you shaking?”

”Ah!” Enna Clark was startled, abruptly turning around. Milk spilled onto the back of her hand, causing her to gasp for air from the heat.

The mug in her hand was immediately taken away, placed on the table beside her. A proud and noble man with a stern expression grabbed her hand, pulled out some tissues, and wiped the hot milk from her hand, then quickly walked to the fridge to find an ice pack which he pressed against her reddened hand. He finally looked up, his eagle-like eyes annoyed, and glared at her, asking, ”Enna Clark, are you a pig? You dare to hold such a hot cup! Does it hurt?”

Enna Clark shook her head, the ice pack was soothingly cold, and her hand felt nothing, ”You suddenly appeared behind me just now and scared me, that’s why the milk spilled, it wasn’t like I deliberately poured it on my hand.”

Her explanation did not help, instead, it made the temperature around them drop even lower...

”You’re saying I walked around the living room twice and you didn’t see me at all!”

Damn it!

Just now, he saw her making a phone call and walked in front of her twice, originally intending to hang up for her but restrained himself as she was chatting with a friend. But this woman didn’t even glance at him from beginning to end! She didn’t spare him even an iota of her attention!

Enna Clark was dumbfounded by his unexpected questioning and answered honestly, ”I was on the phone with Olivia and didn’t notice you. Have you finished showering?”

”Shi-t!” Baron Lawrence grabbed her wrist, nearly wanting to bite her, ”Can’t you see my hair is still wet?!”

Even though he was right in front of her, her focus wasn’t on him!

If he weren’t 100% sure that Enna Clark had no such tendencies, he would have already wanted to strangle Olivia Lewis.

Enna Clark belatedly realized his hair was still dripping with water, and the bathrobe hung loose on him, revealing a large patch of fair, glossy skin—and the enticing V-line tempted one to sin...

Enna Clark quickly shifted her gaze away, daring not to continue looking further.
