Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 2753: Chapter 2762: His Words Are Truly Cruel

”How is it, does it taste salty?” She likes slightly spicy dishes and generally prefers salty flavors.

Her baby Bobby has lived with her since childhood, and his taste is also quite strong.

Later, when she started living with Baron Lawrence, she found out that he doesn’t really eat spicy or salty dishes. His taste is more health-conscious compared to hers and Bobby’s.

Just now, when she was cooking, she used as little salt as possible. She thought the taste was just right, but she wasn’t sure if Baron Lawrence would find it salty.

”No, it’s just right.” Baron Lawrence himself really likes seafood medley; sometimes at restaurants, he specifically orders this dish.

Enna Clark may not have made the best he’s ever tasted, but it’s his favorite!

Just then, Scott Harris brought out the fish porridge.

The creamy white fish porridge topped with a layer of green scallions was visually enticing and whetted the appetite. Coupled with its fragrant aroma, it made one eager to try the taste.

”Lord, this is the fish porridge personally cooked by Young Madam, simmered for three hours. Please try it.”

Baron Lawrence didn’t need prompting; he already swapped his chopsticks for a spoon and tried it, finding it as soft and glutinous as he imagined.

He put down the spoon, stared with a strange expression at the little woman beside him who was nervously waiting for his feedback, ”Enna Clark, are you secretly taking cooking classes?”

”Pfft—” Enna Clark thought he would say something like it’s not tasty, but instead he earnestly asked her this, ”No, I just found cooking videos online and watched how they make it. I followed their steps.”

”You really didn’t secretly take cooking classes?” He squinted in disbelief.

Enna Clark shook her head, ”No. Really, I didn’t. I learned to make this porridge hoping to cook it for Grandpa. How does it taste to you? If it’s good, the day after tomorrow I’ll make a portion for Grandpa. The doctor said Grandpa should eat more soft glutinous foods, but it seems Grandpa prefers Western Food. The Housekeeper told him many times but he doesn’t listen. Next time I’ll bring it over when Gigi wants to eat, and let Grandpa try it too. If Grandpa likes it, I can make it for him often.”

”So I’m just a eunuch testing dishes for the emperor?!”

Enna Clark was embarrassed, quickly soothing him, ”Of course not. Even though I learned it for Grandpa, you’re still the first I want to taste my finished product.”

What she said indeed appeased someone’s discontent.

Baron Lawrence picked up the spoon and ate a few more bites, then leisurely said, ”The old man received Western education from a young age, his diet habits are all Westernized, he has no interest in Oriental Food. You could add a few pieces of foie gras to the porridge; he might like it.”

Foie gras, like steak, is one of the most commonly used ingredients in Western Food.

Enna Clark frowned slightly, tried the porridge she simmered, and said worriedly, ”But the doctor advised Grandpa to eat less high-cholesterol foods; feeding him foie gras might not be good.”

”Just put one or two slices for the gesture; the old man loves pomp. If you place two dollars on top, it’ll satisfy his ego. You really think the old man will eat it? He just loves to nitpick.”

Enna Clark, ”...”

If Grandpa finds out he said that, he’d definitely hit him with a cane.

”Alright, I got it. I’ll ask the doctor, and arrange a couple of thin slices of foie gras for garnish.”
