Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 2748: Chapter 2757: Why Isn’t He Back Yet

”So pretty.”

This room is really beautiful.

Last night when she saw it through the video, she already thought the decor was beautiful. Seeing the whole thing in person today, she realized it wasn’t just pretty, it was stunning.

The super large floor-to-ceiling windows made it open and bright; it looked even better in the daytime than at night.

”If Young Madam likes it, I can have someone in Country W build a vacation villa for you in this style.” Anyway, Baron had a lot of properties under his name. If Young Madam liked it, they could totally put together a villa in the exact same style just for her to use on holidays.

Enna Clark had just been saying it casually and didn’t really want it. She quickly shook her head. ”No need, that’s too wasteful. I’m just purely appreciating these floor-to-ceiling windows.”

”If Young Madam likes, I can also have someone make you an identical set of floor-to-ceiling windows.” Scott Harris looked completely serious, not like he was joking at all.

Enna’s lips twitched. A room that could fit windows this big had to be at least over 45 square meters. Buying a huge villa just to install the exact same windows was way too extravagant.

She picked up the dishes on the table and hurriedly said, ”Mr. Har..., that’s really not necessary, I don’t like them that much. I’ll head to the kitchen first.”

”Young Madam, do you need my help?”

”It’s fine, I’ll do it myself, I’m more used to doing things on my own. You go rest in the living room, watch some TV.”

Scott Harris thought for a moment and said, ”I’ll go make a cup of coffee for Young Madam. You can have a drink when you come out.”

...

Enna spent over an hour tinkering around in the kitchen before finally making what she wanted to make.

She carried the dishes to the dining table, set out the tableware, and checked her watch. It was already close to seven-thirty.

Why wasn’t Baron Lawrence back yet?

She frowned slightly and looked at the steaming hot mixed Seafood platter that had just come out of the pot, her head starting to ache a bit. She instantly regretted cooking it so early.

She’d thought that no matter how busy he was, he should be able to make it back around seven.

Scott Harris walked over with the coffee. Seeing her looking all depressed, he could guess what she was upset about. He handed the coffee to Enna and comforted her, saying, ”Young Madam, Lord should be back soon. Have a cup of coffee and wait a bit. If not, should I give Lord a call?”

”No, don’t call him. We didn’t even tell him we got off the plane, if we say it now it won’t be a surprise anymore.” Enna took the coffee he handed over and tilted her head back for a sip. The rich coffee aroma soothed her starving stomach a little. She lifted her legs and walked toward the sofa. ”Forget it, I’ll wait a bit longer. Even if the mixed platter gets cold, we can heat it up again, it won’t affect the taste.”

But after all the trouble she’d gone through to make this, Enna obviously wanted him to taste it while it was hot.

Depressed as she was, she didn’t want Scott to see she was worried. She walked to the sofa, put the coffee cup on the coffee table, bent down to grab her bag, and took out her phone.

Coincidentally, just as she lit up the screen, a message popped up with a ding.

Enna opened the message. A chibi version of a rabbit was asking her: [What are you doing?]

Who was the man who’d been out of touch all day again!

Enna’s fingers flew as she replied: [Just cooked. You? Are you done with work?]

Baron: [Why are you cooking? Are the servants not there? Damn it, the second I’m not around you go into the kitchen yourself!]

”...” It only counts as a surprise if you prepare it without him knowing. If he finds out, it’s not a surprise anymore.

Enna: [You’re still busy?]
