Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 2730: Chapter 2739: If You Don’t Eat, I’ll Hang Up!

Enna Clark really wished she could bite him through the phone, but unfortunately, they were too far apart for that to be realistic. ”Alright, you’re done with work?”

”Yes.”

His answer was so brief that Enna Clark suspected this late-night call was initiated by her. With Baron Lawrence’s interruption, her mind gradually cleared. She thought of something and proactively started a conversation, ”Why did you finish so late? Was there a lot to do? By the way, did you eat dinner?”

”Yes, there was quite a lot of work, but most of it is done today. Tomorrow, I can clean up the remaining tasks, and I’ll aim to return by the day after tomorrow.”

Enna Clark knew him all too well. She immediately caught the key point in his words, ”Wait a minute, you mean you haven’t had dinner until now!”

”...”

She promptly furrowed her brows and said, ”You’re at the hotel, right? The hotel should have room service. Call customer service and have them send you something to eat.”

”I was talking about when I’d arrive the day after tomorrow.”

Enna Clark was even more adamant, ”I’m talking about you needing to eat. Go order something. I won’t hang up until you’ve finished eating. But if you don’t have dinner, I’m hanging up right now and going to sleep.”

”Shi-t! You wouldn’t dare!” Baron Lawrence squinted his eagle-like eyes, his thin lips threatening fiercely.

Enna Clark was completely unfazed by his threats, calmly saying, ”Why wouldn’t I dare? If I hang up, it doesn’t affect me anyway. At most, you’d be sulking alone, and I’d just act like I didn’t know. You’re not in the country, so even if you wanted to show me a face, you wouldn’t have the chance. I definitely wouldn’t be scared.”

Her words were basically akin to saying, ’You’re far away, try hitting me if you can,’ and sure enough, they made the distinguished man’s handsome face darken with anger, wishing he could bite her, ”Enna Clark, you’re asking for trouble!”

”Trouble or not, it won’t affect me until you’re back. Before that happens, it doesn’t matter. So, are you ordering or not? If not, I’m hanging up.”

It was the first time Baron Lawrence had been so openly threatened, and in this instance, it was by someone he couldn’t do anything about.

Even though he’s abroad, he has a thousand ways to handle her, but unfortunately, he can’t bring himself to do any of them!

His woman couldn’t be touched by anyone but him—not even a strand of her hair! Whoever dared try would be crushed. Of course, he’s the only one allowed to tease her. Anyone else trying to do so would be sent to meet God.

Being spoiled by him like this has made Enna Clark increasingly fearless, now in a completely unruly state, ”I’m really hanging up, Baron Lawrence. Are you ordering or not? If you’re not, I’m hanging up.”

His handsome face turned steely blue with anger. Angry as he was, he finally compromised, ”Hold on, I’ll call customer service.”

”OK, I’m waiting for you. By the way, I don’t trust you, so let’s chat via video call when you eat later. This way, I can watch you eat.” Enna Clark brazenly demanded.

Baron Lawrence wouldn’t easily make promises, but once he agreed to something, he’d follow through. So it didn’t matter whether Enna Clark would watch or not, ”Suit yourself.”

Enna Clark knew she had threatened him earlier, and after he agreed, she immediately defended her previous ”evil act,” ”Baron Lawrence, you won’t be mad, right? I’m just concerned about you and worried about your stomach. Every time you’re busy, you forget to eat. I bet you didn’t have lunch today either. If you don’t eat something at night, you’ll have a stomachache in the middle of the night.”
