Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 2719: Chapter 2728: Trying to Match Wendy Hanson

Mrs. Hanson seemed as if her throat was being squeezed, her face flushed red. She clenched her fists and furrowed her brows, angrily whispering to Mr. Hanson, ”Dad! What are you doing! Didn’t you promise that you would hand Hanson Corporation over to Wendy? Why are you saying such things now!”

”I never said I would hand Hanson Corporation to her. Even though she bears the Hanson surname, it doesn’t change the fact that she belongs to the Baker Family! I only said I would give her some shares to let her enter the Hanson Corporation Board of Directors after I pass away. And as for what shares to give, that’s up to me. She has disappointed me several times; I can’t hand over the precious shares of Hanson Corporation to someone impulsive and reckless who doesn’t consider consequences. I have to be responsible for the entire Hanson Family clan! If she doesn’t change her behavior and continues like this, I will do as I said and give her shares without voting rights. She won’t need to think about entering the Hanson Corporation Board of Directors; the shares can ensure she has a secure life.” Mr. Hanson spoke with a stern and serious expression, not looking like he was saying it in anger.

Mrs. Hanson trembled with anger, but she didn’t dare to talk back to her father. She knew Mr. Hanson’s words were final, and defending her daughter would only make the Old Master angrier. At that time, Wendy might indeed only get shares that entitle her to dividends.

At this moment, the rescue room’s door opened and medical staff surged out from inside.

Mrs. Hanson couldn’t be bothered being angry at her father anymore and hurriedly went up to the attending doctor, anxiously asking, ”Doctor, is my daughter okay?”

The doctor, still in surgical attire, took off his mask and relaxed his expression, ”Mrs. Baker, don’t worry, Ms. Wendy is fine. Fortunately, Ms. Wendy’s friend brought her to the Hospital on time. A bit later, and Ms. Wendy could have been in grave danger. No one knows which friend of Ms. Wendy acted so decisively. Considering Ms. Wendy’s condition at the time, instead of waiting for an ambulance, they drove her here. Fortunately for her, Mrs. Baker should properly thank this young woman.”

The words made Mrs. Hanson’s face turn from one color to another, extremely embarrassed, ”Um, I understand. May I go in to see Wendy now?”

”You may, the nurse will soon wheel her to the ward, Mrs. Baker can go directly to the ward to see Ms. Wendy.”

”Okay, good.” Mrs. Hanson hurried off to find Wendy.

Mr. Hanson also breathed a sigh of relief, leaning on his cane, he greeted the attending doctor, ”Julian, thank you for this.”

”It’s nothing, Uncle Hanson, you are too kind.” Julian Foster gave a warm smile, in his late twenties, he was full of vigor, tall and handsome, bringing comfort to those who saw him, ”As long as Wendy is okay.”

It turned out that Wendy’s attending doctor in the country was also the grandson of one of Mr. Hanson’s close friends. However, the difference in family status between the two was considerable. The Foster Family was wealthy, but as a family of medical experts, they didn’t possess as much power and influence as the Hanson Family. Though compared to ordinary people, they were regarded as a family with high knowledge and status.

Mrs. Hanson held strong notions about family background and always treated Julian Foster indifferently, which led Julian to treat her purely from a doctor’s perspective, rather than as a familiar younger person.

Mr. Hanson moved the corner of his mouth, suddenly looked at him, his eyes brightened as he asked, ”Julian, do you have a girlfriend you are dating?”

If Julian and Wendy could be together, it might be a good choice...
