Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 2569: Chapter 2578: You’re Taking Advantage of the Situation

Adam Sinclair squinted his eyes, as if he could hear her inner diss, his voice hoarse and misty as he said, ”I called you, you just didn’t hear it.”

Olivia Lewis rubbed her nose that had been hurt from the bump, accepting his explanation with annoyance, ”Okay, I just wasn’t paying attention. What’s up?”

Adam raised the phone in his hand, showing her the message, ”The driver said that August Oliver has already been picked up by someone, so you can rest assured.”

Olivia took his phone, looked at the message from the driver, pursed her lips, and asked worriedly, ”Do you know who took him? It’s not an enemy, is it?”

Adam’s eyes flashed with a trace of displeasure, but he still took the phone back and said, ”It’s someone from his father’s side, rest assured, those people will take good care of him.”

Olivia realized belatedly that he was jealous, finding it amusing but also more curious about August Oliver’s background, ”Adam, do you know what August Oliver’s lineage is about?”

When August was drunk, he had once hugged her and murmured about his mom, there always seemed to be a story there.

”I know a bit.” Adam glanced at her, knowing well how curious she was, he walked over to the sofa, sat down, and suddenly said, ”I’m hungry, is there food in the fridge?”

Damn it! Olivia clenched her fists, her pretty eyes accusing, ”You’re taking advantage of the situation!”

”I’m just making a reasonable request, you can refuse my request.” The man leaned back elegantly on the sofa, his tall and slender figure relaxed, his brows smooth, looking even more aristocratic, like a young master of elite types. Yet the cunning in his eyes made people grit their teeth in frustration, ”Of course, I’m not particularly keen on chatting if I’m not full.”

What he meant was, if she didn’t make him food, he wouldn’t tell her about August Oliver.

”You despicable!”

”I’m also shameless. As long as I achieve my goal, you can say whatever you like. After all, history is written by the victors.” Adam’s eyes curved with a roguish charm, lazy and indulgent.

Olivia gnashed her teeth, clenching her fists, took a deep breath, and bit the bullet, ”Wait here!”

With that, she angrily opened the fridge, took out some so-so ingredients, and headed to the kitchen...

Half an hour later, the intoxicating aroma of food wafted out.

The person in an apron emerged from the kitchen, Olivia’s eyebrows carried a bit of the atmosphere of domesticity, now looking just like a little wife waiting for her husband to return home, without a trace of the aloofness of a star on TV.

She brought out the simple dishes from the kitchen, served a bowl of rice, laid out the tableware, and called to the man on the sofa, ”Sir, dinner is served. Could you move your noble behind to the dining table, please?”

Adam’s thin lips curved into a smile of contentment, touching his sexy lips, ”Granted.”

Was he getting addicted to this? Olivia rolled her eyes, tapped the dining table, shed her earlier cutesy tone, reverting to her usual tough girl demeanor, ”Did I say you were fat, or are you just breathing hard? Hurry up and get over here to eat!”

Darn it, after dealing with all that kitchen smoke, her face mask was wasted.

If Adam doesn’t eat a lot today, she’s at a loss!

The noble man quickly walked over, sat in the chair, picked up the tableware, and noticed there was only a set for him, raised an eyebrow and asked, ”You’re not eating?”

Olivia pulled out a chair and sat across from him, propped her chin up with her hand and said, ”Not eating, I just had hand-pulled noodles for lunch.”
