Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 2567: Chapter 2576: Even the Executive President Didn’t Come

In the end, Olivia Lewis couldn’t resist Adam Sinclair’s persuasion, and the driver helped the drunken August Oliver to the hotel.

At the W International Hotel, the driver used August Oliver’s ID to check into a room, and the information was immediately sent to a nearby café.

The bodyguard who received the information quickly called the secretary, ”Hello, Amy, we’ve found the Young Master.”

Ten minutes later.

Several Lincolns sped to the hotel, taking August Oliver away.

The driver, who left right after checking in, remained hidden in an inconspicuous corner on the street, waiting for the person to be picked up before immediately sending a message to Adam Sinclair.

Meanwhile, in Olivia Lewis’s apartment, Adam Sinclair’s phone chimed as he stepped out of the shower and heard it. Wearing just a towel, he bent down to pick up his phone, glancing at it quickly.

Olivia Lewis was outside the living room taking a call. It was from Sunny, and she thought Sunny was calling to settle scores with her. To her surprise, Sunny was in a good mood, ”Didn’t you say you had poor signal? How come you can answer my call now?”

”Hahaha.” Olivia forced a laugh and went along with it, ”Maybe they fixed the lines outside again.”

”Are you sure? I’m going to ask the neighborhood’s property management, and if they say otherwise, you’re done for.” Sunny, having been her manager for so long, knew her little tricks. Yet, Olivia was still trying to be stubborn.

As expected, Olivia immediately admitted defeat, ”I was wrong. How about I come over now, is there still time?”

”No need. You’re lucky today, for some reason, the newly appointed executive president didn’t show up. In the end, his secretary said he wasn’t feeling well, leaving the whole company hanging. Haha, you should’ve seen Lena and Nicole Oliver’s faces, they were so flustered, their faces turning a shade of purple. Especially Nicole Oliver, who used to give you a lot of trouble relying on her popularity, even more so than Lena. At least Lena confronts you openly and doesn’t pretend to be nice. Nicole Oliver is the worst, always afraid you’ll rise too quickly and replace her, causing you issues while pretending to be above it all. No wonder she got the Scala Queen of Acting; with her acting skills, it’d be a shame if she weren’t in the entertainment industry.”

Olivia Lewis knew these two people well, as they were Sunny’s least favorite, and among the very few who could infuriate her normally composed and sharp manager.

Especially Nicole Oliver, whom Sunny particularly disliked.

It was said that Nicole Oliver had snatched several resources, including ad endorsements and movie roles, midway through using her entertainment industry connections.

Olivia Lewis herself wasn’t too bothered; after all, in the entertainment industry, everyone is realistic. Whoever is capable will rise; if someone has the power to snatch something away, it just means they’re more formidable, nothing to be upset about. She’s only ever had Adam Sinclair as backing, and she’s hardly relied on him for work resources, mostly relying on herself. Nicole Oliver is different; she comes from an extraordinary family, allegedly with ties to the political realm, and has been in the spotlight since her debut. If someone like that wants to compete for resources, it shows they regard her as a worthy rival.

”Let it go, Sunny, it’s all in the past. In my current state, people probably can’t be bothered with me; there’s no question of competition.” Olivia casually consoled her.

Unexpectedly, she hit a nerve, and Sunny got furious, angrily scolding, ”You do know where you stand now, don’t you? I thought you were lost in romance.”
