Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 2553: Chapter 2562: August Oliver Took Two Punches

I’m here today to say, let’s break up the band!

As soon as he said this, the entire small bar fell silent, so quiet that you could hear a pin drop echoing on the ground.

Annan was the first to react; he suddenly roared, ”What did you say?”

Then, he rushed forward in anger and punched August Oliver in the face. ”You were the one who initially said to form the band, and you were the one who said we should pursue our dreams. We’ve been fighting alongside you for so long. You disappeared for three months without a word, and now you’re back saying we should break up the band. Who do you think you are!”

This time, neither Nico nor Brandon tried to stop him, showing that they were equally angry.

Anna was really afraid they would start fighting. Ignoring her own comfort, she pulled the two apart and stood in front of August, who hadn’t retaliated once.

”Stop fighting, everyone is a good friend; don’t fight.”

”Anna, move aside. Today, I have to teach him a lesson!” Annan shouted angrily, his eyes red with impulsiveness.

Anna didn’t move an inch and stood firmly in front of him, insisting, ”I believe he has his reasons. I didn’t meet him yesterday; I understand what kind of person he is. I won’t let you!”

”What kind of person is he?! We’ve known him for so many years, and none of us knew he had such an impressive background, proving none of us really know him. Did you know beforehand he was the new director of the Oscar Group?” Annan blurted out in anger, ”Anna, I know you like him, which is why you’re defending him. But look at the nonsense he’s saying now. Move aside, I’m going to teach him a lesson!”

Anna was caught off guard by him revealing her secret that she kept hidden in her heart. She was stunned for a moment, her beautiful face showing some embarrassment, biting her lip tightly.

Brandon noticed her slightly pale complexion and scolded the angry and irrational Annan, ”Annan, what are you doing? Anna hasn’t done anything to you, so why are you taking it out on her?”

Annan’s mind cooled slightly after being shouted at, and he noticed Anna’s expression, awkwardly opening his mouth, ”Anna, I’m sorry, I didn’t mean it. I just...”

Anna took a deep breath and interrupted his apology, ”I know, there’s no need to explain; I understand your character.”

She glanced at the three who had calmed down slightly and softly said, ”We’ve known each other for so many years, not just one or two years. Especially you, Annan; you knew August since you were in school. You know what kind of person he is, so think carefully. In high school, he worked at a construction site to buy a bracelet, and at University, he worked as a bartender to support himself through school. Does he seem like someone with a powerful background? If his family really had such a strong background, hiding it from his friends, would he need to go to such lengths?”

All three fell into thought.

She delivered her concluding remarks, ”So about his identity, I believe August has his own unspoken reasons. Since we’re friends, why force him to talk about things he doesn’t want to?”

”But he said he wants to break up the band!” Annan still couldn’t let it go, emphasizing, ”We’ve sacrificed so much for the band, and now he’s fleeing at the last minute. Who can accept that? We want a perfect explanation, at least one we can accept.”

Anna turned back to look at August, who was pressing his lips tightly together, clearly not planning to explain. She felt anxious in her heart.

Brandon then proposed another solution, calmly saying, ”If you don’t want to explain, fine. Drink all the wine on the table, and we won’t need your explanation.”
