Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 2557: Chapter 2566: August Oliver Outside the Door

Olivia Lewis changed into her outfit and, while deciding between high heels and flats at the entrance hall, couldn’t resist taking off the heels she had already put on and switching to comfortable canvas shoes.

Her canvas shoes were bought together with Enna Clark, the same style and color; definitely best friend shoes.

Paired with the Chanel outfit, the canvas shoes didn’t look out of place at all. In a good mood, Olivia picked up her bag, smiled, and opened the door.

Just as she opened the door, a drunken man stumbled in behind her, pulling her tightly into his arms with a force that felt like he wanted to crush her into his bones.

”Damn! Daring to take advantage of me like that!” Instinctively, Olivia kneed upwards toward the man’s most vulnerable spot—

”Ugh.” With a painful grunt, the man released her and staggered back two steps, clutching his injured area in pain.

Olivia finally saw clearly who had grabbed her, and was momentarily stunned, ”August Oliver?”

What was going on? Why was August here?

Didn’t Sunny just say that the news was live-streaming him at the Oscar Group?

Olivia had always felt guilty towards him; he had finally appeared, and she almost disabled him with a knee, which made her feel even more guilty. She quickly supported the uncomfortable man, ”Are you okay? I’m sorry, I didn’t know it was you, I thought some crazy fan had found their way here, that’s why I acted so heavy-handed. Are you alright? Is it... not completely ruined?”

Ruining a man’s part is even more cruel than killing someone, her last words were said with such uncertainty, she was incredibly guilty.

She did use considerable force earlier, but probably... maybe... possibly... not enough to completely disable August Oliver, right?

August, with a furrowed brow and hunched over, at first seemed in pain from Olivia’s kick, but it increasingly looked like a stomachache. The smell of alcohol radiated so strongly from him that it could be smelled from far away, and his pale, handsome face was etched with pain, ”... Feel terrible.”

Feeling guilty, Olivia held his shoulders, ”Is it really that bad? How about I take you to the hospital for a check-up?”

Taking a man to the hospital, especially someone so high-profile, would undoubtedly generate sensational news.

Before she finished speaking, her wrist was firmly grasped, and the man, through clenched lips, uttered a restrained voice, ”No, don’t go to the hospital, can’t go.”

If she went, she would be exposed and watched by that man’s people.

She would be in danger.

If she wasn’t involved, he still had the courage to fight that man to the end. But if she got involved, and that man used her to threaten him, he might choose to obey and become that man’s puppet.

”Don’t go to the hospital, I’m fine...ugh...” His forehead was covered with beads of sweat, his handsome face was pale with pain, and his body was so violently hunched, like a bow drawn to its fullest, pushed to the extreme!

For the first time, Olivia was at a loss, vaguely realizing that August wasn’t simply in pain because of her knee.

She made a decisive move and said through gritted teeth, ”I understand, we won’t go to the hospital. Come inside first; you’ll be easily spotted standing here.”

With Olivia’s support, August stumbled into the apartment.

Olivia’s apartment wasn’t large, just a regular two-bedroom, more than enough for her alone. One room she lived in, the other was a cloakroom.
