My Martial Arts Level Never Drops

Chapter 501: Chapter 223: Mirror Contemplation

As for everything else...

That was left up to Qin Fang.

He didn’t even remind Qin Fang to perform his duties diligently in the Sacrificial Hall.

The message was clear: Qin Fang could do whatever he wanted.

...In this regard...

His master truly had never interfered with Qin Fang.

Returning to Linyuan Peak, Qin Fang sat in a daze for a long time before finally letting out a long breath.

’...With a Sect and a master like this, how could I dare not repay them with all my heart?’

His gaze hardened with resolve, and he took out the Concentrating Iron Heart Jade.

’Today, I’ll start cultivating the Void Mirror Observation!’

Qin Fang held the Concentrating Iron Heart Jade, then closed his eyes and entered a state of Contemplation.

The next moment, his consciousness sank into his Sea of Consciousness, where he saw the God within and the Profound Nether Realm-Breaking Awl hanging above its head.

Qin Fang withdrew his attention and began to circulate his Divine Sense according to the cultivation method of the Void Mirror Observation.

”Heart like the great void, mirror containing all phenomena. With spirit as the smith, a mirror is forged in the soul. Unstained by dust, unattached to form. Reflecting true nature, shattering illusion to reveal truth.”

”In serene stability, gather your mind, focusing it between your brows. Let no thought arise; let all worries fall silent. Silently observe a single point of innate spiritual light, clear as dew, perfectly round, brilliantly glowing. Guide this spiritual light, letting it slowly spread into a pool of still water, its surface as smooth as a whetstone. Then, focusing your Divine Will, Contemplate upon this water a jade mirror-embryo—round in shape, clear in substance, its back to the boundless void, its face turned inward. At first, it will be hazy, barely there. You must persevere until, through Introspection with closed eyes, the mirror-embryo’s outline is clear and it hangs stably in the void of your Sea of Consciousness, its light gentle and warm, unwavering and still. This is known as ’Establishing the Mirror’s Foundation’...”

Qin Fang emptied his mind, no longer paying attention to the Profound Nether Realm-Breaking Awl. Instead, he began to gather his Divine Sense within his Sea of Consciousness, following the description of the Void Mirror Observation to Contemplate the Void White Mirror.

The world fell silent. He focused his mind and began to Contemplate. Gradually, a point of spiritual light began to spread—clear as dew, perfectly round, brilliantly glowing—transforming into a pool of still water...

Gradually, his God vanished, and the Profound Nether Realm-Breaking Awl also seemed to disappear from his world of consciousness. The entire world seemed to be left with only a pool of spiritual light, slowly spreading out...

Qin Fang’s heart was as calm as still water, without a single ripple. He was neither hurried nor slow, his mind not stirred by the appearance of this pool of spiritual light.

Slowly, this pool of spiritual light indeed began to transform into a pool of still water...

He couldn’t perceive its actual size, but based on his current ’sensation’, it was about a meter wide.

But it was still gathering and expanding.

That was his Spiritual Power condensing.

Transforming into the ’water’ of the spiritual light.

One meter, two meters, three meters...

The process was extremely slow.

At the same time, the Concentrating Iron Heart Jade in Qin Fang’s hand suddenly began to emit specks of silver light.

The light was as brilliant as starlight. It rose up at first, but then, as if drawn by something, it slowly sank into the point between his brows!

As this wisp of starlight spread, Qin Fang immediately felt a connection in his consciousness.

But he maintained a Heart Realm as placid as an ancient well, clearly watching the starlight merge into the spiritual light. Gradually, his Divine Sense began to undergo some ineffable changes...

This change was very slow, yet extremely real.

Qin Fang continued to Contemplate, neither hurried nor slow, paying no special attention to the silver starlight.

Gradually, the pool of still water formed from the spiritual light actually expanded to five meters...

An understanding dawned on him: roughly half of his Power of Spiritual Sense had already turned into this water.

Then the next step was to ’establish the mirror’!

The next moment, he focused his thoughts above the water of spiritual light and began to Contemplate that Jade Mirror.

Round in shape, clear in substance, its back to the boundless void, its face turned inward. At first, it was hazy, barely there...

Qin Fang’s heart remained calm as he quietly Contemplated.

Gradually, a nearly illusory outline quietly appeared in his Sea of Consciousness...

...

He wasn’t sure how much time had passed when he felt a sharp pain between his brows.

Only then did he suddenly come back to his senses.

Looking again, his Sea of Consciousness had already changed dramatically!

Within his Sea of Consciousness, the light was bright and clear. A ’Spiritual Spring’, about five meters wide in his Perception, had become the center of this Sea of Consciousness.

Above the ’Spiritual Spring’ floated a jade-white mirror, barely perceptible.

Inside the mirror was a chaotic void, containing nothing.

And his God was sitting upright within the Spiritual Spring.

Above the God, the Profound Nether Realm-Breaking Awl also still existed.

The stinging pain between his brows continued, startling Qin Fang... Then he took a deep breath, slowly withdrawing his Divine Sense and ceasing his Contemplation.

He opened his eyes.

Outside the hall, the sun was bright, but he could faintly hear the sound of wind and snow.

’...Unknowingly, has a whole night passed?’

Qin Fang thought to himself.

Then, he rubbed the sore and aching spot between his brows, a chill running through him.

’No wonder they say this Spiritual Sense Leaf Skill is dangerous... Just one night of preliminary cultivation, and my Spiritual Power already feels completely drained...’

This was perfectly normal.

Spiritual Power was bound to be depleted. And a Contemplation Method would definitely consume Spiritual Power.

But the consumption was a bit too high... After all, with his current Cultivation and stamina, he wouldn’t feel this exhausted even if he didn’t sleep for a month.

’It seems that even if it’s not for Breaking Through, it’s still very dangerous... Once Spiritual Power is overly consumed, it’s easy for one’s thoughts to run wild and become difficult to control...’

His heart tightened as he silently warned himself.

Finally, he looked at the Concentrating Iron Heart Jade in his hand... It was still shimmering with a silver glow.

It seemed it hadn’t been consumed much.

A thought struck him, and he looked at the panel.

’Void Mirror Observation (Spiritual Sense Leaf Skill) (entry-level): 510/1000’

”Huh?!”

When he saw the panel, Qin Fang was a little stunned.

’...Just one night, and Void Mirror Observation actually shot up by five hundred points?!’

’...What kind of cultivation speed is this?’

Qin Fang was a bit dumbfounded.

Just then, footsteps sounded from outside the door, and Qin Fang subconsciously looked up.

Then he saw Qian Ruhai push the door open and walk in.

Upon seeing Qin Fang, Qian Ruhai froze, blinking his eyes.

”Huh? Senior Brother, you’re in the Sect?”

While Qin Fang was still confused, he heard Qian Ruhai say, ”Senior Sister said you’d been gone for a month, so she asked me to come and clean your room...”

’Senior Sister... a month?’

’But that’s not right. I went to see Senior Sister the day I got back. She should know.’

’Wait a minute...’

Qin Fang suddenly froze, his eyes gradually widening...

’...No way...’

’Did this one Contemplation session...’

’...last for a whole month?!’
