My Martial Arts Level Never Drops

Chapter 523: Chapter 231: Abyss

This was a strange World.

Looking up, the sky was a tapestry of stars, as brilliant and bright as silk, adorning the pitch-black canopy above.

Every so often, a shooting star—or even several—would streak across the sky... It was as beautiful as a painting.

But that wasn’t what made it so strange... The strangeness lay beneath his feet.

Beneath his feet... was a vast expanse of profound black...

The Abyss World!

Ripples spread out continuously in circles from where Qin Fang stood... It was as if he were standing on the surface of a perfectly calm body of water.

But he clearly wasn’t using any Body Technique or True Essence... yet he just floated there.

As if on solid ground.

WHOOSH!~~

A sudden gale swept over, and Qin Fang froze for a moment, unable to react.

The next instant, the wind blasted against his body, and he felt a sharp, stinging pain on his skin?!

’What the hell?!’

Qin Fang was horrified... ’Where is my Nine-Layered Abyss Water Armor?’

He subconsciously circulated his True Essence... only to discover that the Nine-Layered Abyss Water Armor was still perfectly intact on his skin. But this wind had bizarrely passed right through the armor, affecting his physical body directly!

”Wait, what is this wind? Why didn’t Master mention it?”

Qin Fang’s face paled in alarm.

A brief scan revealed that the wind carried a violent Primordial Power that could ignore True Essence and blow directly onto his flesh!

No, it wasn’t just his skin. He felt a violent Primordial Power that had even drilled through his skin, reaching deep into his flesh and organs!

A dull ache began to spread through his internal organs.

Qin Fang’s expression changed drastically. He hurriedly circulated his True Essence, trying to resist.

But the wind completely ignored his True Essence’s defense... as if it hadn’t touched the True Essence at all.

After just a short while, Qin Fang felt a chill seep into his bones, and a dull ache spread throughout his entire body.

’Wasn’t this Secret Realm supposed to be safe? If this keeps up, I’ll be seriously injured at the very least!’

Alarmed, Qin Fang suddenly had a thought. He ignored his surroundings, sat down cross-legged, took a deep breath, and began to circulate the ’Profound Nether True Water Scripture’, trying to absorb the Primordial Power from the heavens and earth.

The moment the first mouthful of Primordial Power entered his body, a look of pain appeared on Qin Fang’s face...

It was like he had inhaled a mouthful of razor blades.

In the blink of an eye, this torrent of ’razor blades’ surged into his Eight Extraordinary Meridians, slicing away madly.

Qin Fang didn’t dare absorb any more. He quickly stopped, then began to frantically use his own True Essence to grind down and assimilate the unexpectedly violent Primordial Power that had entered his body.

But when his True Essence clashed head-on with this Primordial Power, Qin Fang’s expression changed... because it was too difficult!

He tried to use his True Essence to grind away the violent and ’sharp’ qi within the Primordial Power, but something felt wrong the moment he started.

How to describe it...?

...It was like trying to grind a stone with a millstone made of tofu!

’How could that possibly work?’

In an instant, not only did the Primordial Power fail to break apart, but his own True Essence was rapidly consumed, disintegrating inch by inch in the process!

’So this is the Celestial Spirit Sharp Qi? This is what Master called ”completely safe”?’

Qin Fang’s face darkened!

Amidst the howling wind, he felt the pain in his body intensify. Tiny wounds even began to appear on his skin and throughout his internal organs!

In an instant, he was plunged into a massive crisis... because he had just inhaled a mouthful of that violent Primordial Power!

His True Essence Dantian also began to throb with a piercing pain under the assault of this terrifyingly sharp Primordial Power...

Just as his expression was growing uglier and uglier, the wind suddenly stopped.

The entire World fell silent.

The pain in his body vanished abruptly.

However, the mouthful of violent Primordial Power inside him remained.

Qin Fang suddenly realized...

...’Was I being reckless? Was I not supposed to absorb this violent Primordial Power?’

’Do I just have to endure the wind until it passes?’

But his current situation left him no time for further thought; his meridians were already beginning to sustain damage.

He began to frantically circulate his True Essence, trying to grind down the mouthful of violent Primordial Power he had inhaled.

At the same time, he infused his body with True Essence to repair the tiny wounds...

...Fortunately, his Profound Nether Nature was a variant of the Profound Water Nature, but it still ultimately had the effect of nourishing the physical body.

At least, it had some restorative effect on his own body.

And so, less than ten minutes after arriving in this World, a deathly pale Qin Fang found himself sitting on the ground, locked in a struggle with the violent Primordial Power inside him!

Time passed, bit by bit.

The violent Primordial Power rampaged wildly, but fortunately, Qin Fang’s Physique was strong enough. And although it was like ’grinding a stone with a tofu millstone’... Qin Fang’s True Essence wasn’t actual tofu. It still managed to grind away a tiny, tiny bit...

And that tiny, ground-down bit began to seep into Qin Fang’s True Essence, causing an infinitesimal change to occur within it...

...But the change was so subtle that even Qin Fang couldn’t perceive it.

He lost all track of time, completely absorbed in the task.

At a certain moment, he felt the wind rise again.

His heart leaped in alarm as he thought, ’Oh no... Is it happening again?’

’If it keeps coming, wave after wave, how long can I last?’

Just as he was reeling in horror, the wind swept over his body.

But this time, he heard a series of CRACKLING sounds...

He was astonished to find that the Abyss Water Armor on his skin actually seemed to be working... It had withstood the wind this time?

A short while later, this wave of wind passed.

Qin Fang slowly began to understand...

”...So, the wind here varies in strength... The weaker gusts are basically harmless. But the strong ones... are like this violent Primordial Power currently inside me?”

’But neither Master nor my senior sister mentioned that the wind came in different strengths... What’s going on?’
