My Martial Arts Level Never Drops

Chapter 524: Chapter 231: Abyss

Qin Fang’s brows furrowed.

...This clearly wasn’t something his master and senior sister knew about but deliberately chose not to mention.

In other words...

Is this just a characteristic of this Secret Realm?

...Does everyone who enters end up in a completely different world?

’Some say the pressure within is like a mountain, making every step a struggle; others feel as light as a feather, their thoughts clear and free. Some see inverted rivers of stars and a forest of bizarre peaks; others sense only chaos, their bodies filled with nothing but a frosty aura...’

...Huh?

My current situation is a bit like that last description.

...’a frosty aura filling the body...’

He didn’t dwell on it for too long, though. First, he needed to deal with this mouthful of ’Vitality’ inside his body!

He flipped his hand over, produced a bottle of True Essence Pills, and swallowed them.

...He didn’t dare rashly absorb the Primordial Power of this world anymore. He could only recover by using True Essence Pills...

Time passed, bit by bit.

During this process, winds of varying strengths blew past him several times.

But the good news was that none of these winds were as terrifying as the first one. All of them were blocked by Qin Fang’s Nine-Layered Abyss Water Armor.

Qin Fang had lost count of how many True Essence Pills he’d taken as he continuously worked to grind away the rampaging Vitality in his body.

And as time went on, this rampaging Vitality clearly began to weaken...

As one waxed and the other waned, Qin Fang’s ’grinding’ process also began to speed up.

By the time this mouthful of rampaging Primordial Power was completely digested, an unknown amount of time had passed.

Qin Fang let out a long breath and slowly opened his eyes.

”...Such a terrifying, sharp energy...”

He used Contemplation to observe the state of his body and discovered...

’Although that wind was terrifying, after absorbing it, it seems I’ve gained quite a few benefits?’

”My True Essence... seems much more condensed than before. I’m still a long way from reaching True Gang, of course... but it has definitely gotten a lot stronger!”

”And within this rampaging Primordial Power, aside from the ’rampage’... there seems to be a unique life force as well? After my body sustained some injuries and then recovered... it feels like it’s become a bit tougher?”

Qin Fang carefully investigated the minute changes in his body, a look of surprise on his face.

After a moment of contemplation, he let out a soft breath, opened his eyes, and once again gazed out at this ’Abyss’-like world.

Stars twinkled high above, while below his feet was a ground as deep and dark as an abyss, yet it still gave him the feeling of standing on solid earth...

This world was so vast it seemed boundless. As far as the eye could see, everything eventually disappeared into pitch-black darkness.

The surroundings were so silent he could only hear his own heartbeat...

...and, of course, the occasional WHOOSH of the attacking wind.

Looking at such a barren and deathly still world...

Qin Fang’s brows knitted together.

’...No wonder Master told me not to practice the Spiritual Sense Leaf Skill in this world... Just living in a place like this for an unknown amount of time would be enough to break a person’s spirit. Not to mention... adding the dangers of Contemplation on top of that.’

’If I actually dared to use Contemplation in this world... I’d probably go completely insane before long, wouldn’t I?’

A chill went down Qin Fang’s spine.

He completely suppressed the idea of using Contemplation in this world.

’But... this is indeed a good place to temper my mind.’

Qin Fang hadn’t forgotten that in this Secret Realm, besides refining his True Essence, he was also meant to temper his mind and will!

...Resisting such an eerily silent world, over time, every minute and every second would likely become an ultimate test of willpower!

He took a deep breath, gradually calming his mind.

Then, his expression also slowly became serene.

’The world of a Secret Realm is truly bizarre... Even the Sect hasn’t figured out the specifics. I should just obediently stay here, refine my True Essence, and wait to leave.’

He completely gave up the idea of wandering around to take a look.

...That first gust of wind had really been a show of force.

That bizarre wind couldn’t be blocked by his Body Protection Leaf Skill at all; it blew directly into his body.

If it had been continuous, Qin Fang estimated that even he would have died a miserable death.

...This was something neither his master nor his senior sister had ever mentioned.

He had encountered it as soon as he arrived.

It was clear this Secret Realm held many secrets.

If he really were to run around recklessly... and fell into some even more dangerous place, it would probably be game over.

This wasn’t a game.

He only had one life.

He had to cherish it.

Thinking of this, he closed his eyes again.

’That mouthful of Vitality from before came from that gust of wind... Let’s see what the Primordial Power of this world is like under normal circumstances...’

With this thought in mind, he activated his Root Skill and carefully began to absorb the Heaven and Earth Primordial Power.

But this time, he was stunned for a moment...

”...The Ultimate Yin Primordial Power here is actually this dense? It feels like it’s no less concentrated than the thirty-meter mark in the Old Ox Back Cold Cave...”

His eyes lit up.

The Ultimate Yin Primordial Power was so dense!

For him, this was absolutely fantastic news!

Moreover, when there was no wind, the Primordial Power of this world... though still violent, was clearly much better.

He carefully absorbed some and began to digest it.

The process of refining it, however, was still difficult.

...It wasn’t as bad as the Primordial Power in the wind, but the sharp Primordial Power of this world was still far beyond that of the outside world.

”But as expected, the ’sharpness’ within this Primordial Power is excellent for tempering my True Essence... The total amount of my True Essence hasn’t changed, but its quality clearly has. It has even gained a bit of a sharp quality...”

Qin Fang carefully perceived the changes in his body.

It wasn’t good to practice the Spiritual Sense Leaf Skill here, but he could still use his Divine Sense.

With his current Divine Sense, observing his own body was as easy as looking at the lines on his palm.
