The Genius Evolution Store

The contract burst into gray flame and disappeared. Gloria could feel something entering her mind.

Natalia explained, ”The contract will bind you by using the power of a unique element. It will take your life if you end up betraying him.”

”I know. I don’t intend to betray anyone as long as they don’t betray me.” Gloria nodded. ”In that case, what should I do now?”

”Let’s change the place to talk.” Natalia grabbed Gloria and disappeared from the hotel.

In a few seconds, they arrived at the small field a few kilometers away from the city. ”First, you may not be able to live with this face.”

”Face doesn’t matter. Even if I become an ugly duckling, it doesn’t matter if I can’t achieve my goals.” Gloria shook her head. She raised her hand, gathering her energy in her fingertips as though she wanted to use it to turn her fingers into blades. This way, she could disfigure herself.

”What are you doing? I’m not talking about that. I’m merely going to give you a bit of plastic surgery.” Natalia grabbed her face.

She extended her element so that she could use the healing ability to alter her face.

After a moment, Natalia retracted her hand. ”It’s all done. That will be your new face.”

”...” Gloria was confused and took out her phone to see her face on the camera. To her surprise, her face had changed.

Her chin was slightly sharper, and her nose was also smaller.

Before this, she was quite confident in her beauty. Along with her status and character, people often considered her a cool and gallant lady.

Natalia actually changed her face to look slightly more mature but amplified the cuteness with a smaller face. As a result, her previous gallant face was toned down into an elegant one.

Natalia did this so easily and quickly. This was the first time she had ever seen a light element used in this way.

”Is this really me?”

”People will still figure out your identity later. I might be able to change your face, but I can’t change your avatar, element, or your fighting style. However, it won’t matter once we reach that point. What you should be worried about right now is your life. Once you leave, they can’t do anything else. Then, all we need to do is prepare a new ID for you.”

”This...” Gloria looked at her face for a few more seconds before bowing to Natalia. ”Thank you very much.”

”It’s not a problem. Now, you listen to me.” Natalia raised three fingers. ”First, no one will suspect you of being Gloria Schaff, so change your clothes and go back to that city. Introduce yourself to Maya and tell her I sent you. Ask her to prepare the new ID for you and all other things. She will understand.”

She didn’t know why Natalia directed her to Maya rather than Auric, but she still nodded. ”Understood. I will go tomorrow since we have a day off. It will be easier to meet her without raising any suspicion.”

”Very well. I like a smart girl.” Natalia nodded, satisfied. ”Then, I will need you to stay here with me for the time being... at least until the event is done. After that, you can go to Esfrata and visit my son. Just tell him that this is an arrangement I’ve made for you.”

”How much should I tell him? It doesn’t look like you’ve told him about this, so...”

”That’s where you’re wrong. Remember, the person you serve is Auric Elfe, not me, not his family, not anyone else. What you should think about is Auric Elfe. If he wants information, you give him what he wants. If he wants you to die, slit your throat immediately instead of worrying about his family’s reaction or other things. Do you understand?”

Gloria was startled, but she nodded furiously. ”I’m sorry.”

”Last but not least, just accept whatever he gives you. The one who will let you achieve your goal or even become a Rank 7 human is him.”

”...” Gloria still didn’t understand how Auric could do it, considering he was still a Rank 2 human. However, Natalia had been mysterious all this time, so she might know something that no one else knew.

Gloria nodded carefully. ”I understand. I will follow your instructions.”

”Very well.” Natalia was quite satisfied. Gloria was quite capable. She might not be the brightest, but she was definitely not foolish. Besides, her talent was as high as Katarina’s and Ellia’s.

If she continued working hard under Auric, she would definitely become a Rank 7 human in the future. After all, Auric would definitely give her the method to raise her affinity to SS grade.

As Gloria expected, the soldiers were storming the hotel.

”Gloria Schaff, you’re under arrest!”

However, when they arrived at her room, they couldn’t find her.

”Where is she?”

The soldiers were searching for her, but they couldn’t act recklessly because there were still many people from other countries in the hotel.

”I saw her going to the roof,” one student said.

However, when the soldiers arrived on the rooftop, they couldn’t find her. They thought she had committed suicide, but her body was not found.

Hence, they thought that someone was hiding her.

There were a lot of suspicions, with Auric being one of the suspects.

Unfortunately, they couldn’t find anything.

Vanessa frowned. ”I see. We can’t do much in this situation. However, increase the security. It’s a shame that the country has treated this girl so harshly, but rather than letting other countries have her, it’s better to kill her.

”Make sure that Gloria Schaff is captured. If she resists, you may use force to subdue or kill her.”

”Yes, Ma’am.”

Vanessa crossed her arms. After the soldiers left, Vanessa muttered, ”It’s indeed a pity. The girl could have become a powerhouse in the future. If Auric Elfe is really the one hiding her, I hope that she manages to get out. Unlike me, who has sunk too far into this giant dark mess, she still has her bright future in front of her.”

...

Dermania.

Head Instructor Ryan and Ultias sat while looking at the city from their hotel room.

”That bastard, Auric Elfe. We need to kill him!” Head Instructor Ryan gritted his teeth. ”We can’t let him survive like this.”

Ultias fell silent for a moment. ”This kid is indeed talented. However, the moment I make a move, Joker will also come. That’s why I can’t do anything yet.

”Besides, we haven’t figured out the extent of his talent. How strong is he? How big is his potential? More importantly, how much of a threat does he pose?

”I have heard the news about the event. It looks like Dermania has a problem defeating him. I know that he might be the strongest Rank 2 student, but Rank 3 or Rank 4 students should be enough to defeat him.

”However, his true talent is supposed to lie in his identity as an evolution master. That’s why it’s better not to make any move first before we determine that talent. If he’s really as good as the people claim, we will spare no effort in killing him.

”More importantly, I’m here to reprimand you. You may be my cousin, but this time you’ve made a huge blunder. While it’s true that I’ve been controlling this country from the shadows, there will be nothing to control if this country collapses.”

Head Instructor Ryan gritted his teeth, but still looked down. ”Yes, I apologize.”

”I’m not here to listen to your apology. I’m here to make things right. Besides, even if we don’t do anything, it will be a matter of time before he dies.”

”!!!” Head Instructor Ryan looked surprised. ”What do you mean, cousin?”

”I am talking about the movement of the beasts. Those beasts have gotten restless. At this rate, they might start moving out. I’ve pulled some strings. The schedule will change. The battle that will be held in the last week will start in the third week.”

”What? Then, the joint survival training...” Head Instructor Ryan widened his eyes in shock.

”Yeah. It will begin in the last week. We will not hold it in the area near that city. Instead, we will change the place to Austria. Nothing is there, and with the beasts’ movements, there’s a chance for an outbreak to occur. At that time, the situation will be so chaotic that they won’t be able to save Auric Elfe.” Ultias smirked.

Head Instructor Ryan’s body shook. He didn’t expect that Ultias would be willing to go to such lengths.

Since the request came from a Rank 7 human, they had no choice but to accept it. This time, they organized this event because of the beasts. If they used it as an excuse, Ultias could definitely force other countries to accept it.

In other words, a beast wave would occur at the end of the training program.

Ultias took out a phone. ”This is a burner phone. There is an organization that is looking for him as well. You will work with them. Create a situation where Auric Elfe will die because of those beasts. This way, we won’t have to receive any backla—!”

Suddenly, Ultias stood up as he sensed a presence in front of him.

”!!!” Ultias widened his eyes. He didn’t expect there could be someone this powerful standing in front of him without him realizing it.

”Who?”

Head Instructor Ryan was startled, not understanding what was going on.

A voice echoed from behind. ”So, this man is the one who intended to harm my son. As a father, I don’t want to get involved in his problem. He has his own journey to make, so I don’t want to prevent his growth by being overprotective.

”You are quite fortunate because I am sparing you. However, isn’t it a bit unfair for even a Rank 7 human to get involved in killing a child?

”So, I came... Maybe deliver a bit of punishment for an old man who was scared of a child.”

”You!” Ultias gritted his teeth. His wind burst in all directions. Anything exposed to the wind started to disintegrate. This was the power of one of the seven Rank 7 humans in the world, Disintegration Wind.

However, when the wind hit the man, who claimed to be Auric’s father, the wind suddenly glitched and disappeared as though it didn’t exist anymore.

”What?” Ultias was dumbfounded. His power was supposed to disintegrate everything. He had once clashed with another Rank 7 human, but his wind was still effective against that person.

Yet his wind disappeared before it could even touch the mysterious man in front of him.

Ultias clenched his hands into fists. ”Who are you?”

”Didn’t I say it earlier? I came here as a father whose son was being threatened by a Rank 7 jerk like you. However, if you want to know my identity... let’s see...”

He looked up as though he was thinking about it. ”Well, you can call me... GOD.”
