The Genius Evolution Store

Mr. Green smiled.

Auric wondered what he should use this time. After thinking it over, Auric decided not to use his Edict this time.

Instead, Auric raised both palms. His right hand formed a lightning sphere while his left hand formed a wind sphere.

The two elements combined almost instantly.

”Hoho? Elemental Fusion? Judging by how smoothly you did it, I know you can do that faster.” Mr. Green looked excited.

Mr. Green formed a translucent screen, trying to block Auric’s attack.

Surprisingly, Auric’s attack curved down and hit the bottom part of the screen.

”Oh?!” Mr. Green was a bit surprised because the aim looked intentional. It seemed like the rumor was true. Auric’s sensitivity was abnormal.

The wind burst, scattering the lightning.

”Wow?!”

”Is this the power of Elemental Fusion?”

”Amazing!”

Other students and even instructors were quite impressed. They had never seen a student able to use Elemental Fusion.

They were a bit envious because they wanted to experience Elemental Fusion themselves as well.

Unfortunately, the attack wasn’t powerful enough to actually break his defense.

”You are amazing. Your control is extraordinary, and your sensitivity is your greatest strength. In that case, there is one thing that I can teach you right now. How about you form a barrier next?”

”!!!” Everyone gasped, thinking, ’So, he will be the only one to receive an attack?’

Auric simply raised his hand and formed a barrier made of his diamond element. ”Please.”

Mr. Green pointed at Auric. From his fingertip, a bolt of lightning flew toward Auric.

Auric managed to stop it for three seconds, but he suddenly noticed that the concentration of the element increased. The lightning became harder to stop.

Auric did the same thing as Mr. Green had done when he blocked him. At the last moment, Mr. Green shifted the concentration of his energy to the bottom of his barrier, turning the weak spot into the strongest spot.

Auric concentrated that energy in the middle, but Mr. Green smiled as his lightning suddenly branched out.

”!!!” Auric was startled because the lightning instantly cracked his barrier.

He hurriedly split his energy again to stop the lightning, but Mr. Green changed his approach one more time.

The lightning bolt turned into a bird that struck the center of his barrier, cracking it completely.

”Kh...” Auric was overwhelmed, but he managed to shift his power at the last moment. His eyes were able to capture the movement of the energy, so he knew what Mr. Green was trying to do.

”Amazing. A good judgment, followed by a strong sensitivity. You’re able to react as if you can see a few seconds into the future.

”That’s why I have nothing to say regarding your control. Rather than improving your control, I want you to utilize that control in another way. What do you think it is?”

Auric narrowed his eyes. There was one thing that he had been demonstrating all this time.

”Shape?”

”Sharp mind.” Mr. Green clenched his fist. ”That’s right. What you need is the ability to shape your elements. Elements are formless, so we can shape them however we want. Depending on the shape, their functions will be different. For example, if you turn your lightning strike into wires...”

Mr. Green’s lightning turned into multiple thin lines. They moved forward and cut through everything like lasers. Auric’s cracked barrier stood no chance against their sudden sharpness.

”...” Auric got a good understanding of what he was trying to say.

Mr. Green explained, ”Everything is good, which is why you need to further perfect your fighting style. You also have multiple elements. If you encounter a lightning attack, you use the wind element to block it. If you receive a wind slash, you need to form a spike that destroys the attack at its weakest point.

”You definitely have the sensitivity to aim at the enemy’s weakest point. To achieve that, you need to keep thinking and gaining more experience.

”Find the perfect shape to counter your opponent’s attack, understand what they’re going to do, and counter them perfectly. Once you’re done, push them to the edge by using multiple elements. I know you can do that.”

Auric didn’t disagree. His eyes allowed him to do something that was normally impossible for a human.

For other students, they thought they could also do something like this in the future. But those who had reached Rank 5 or Rank 6 were cursing inwardly.

’What the hell? Did you hate this kid? Even I couldn’t do that. No, I doubt you can do that yourself.’

However, Mr. Green knew Auric had the potential to achieve the impossible.

Auric thought for a moment, simulating the technique in his mind. If he could master this technique, his combat power might increase to a whole new level.

In addition, his Edict might become even more effective.

”Thank you for your lesson, Mr. Green.” Auric nodded politely.

”Mhmm.” Mr. Green waved his hand before turning to the second group. ”Now, let’s begin with your group’s assessment. Please attack me as well.”

The second group was next, but they couldn’t make the same impact as Auric’s group. However, Mr. Green gave them a generous assessment.

Now that he understood their situation, Mr. Green led them to another spot so that they would have more space to practice.

Mr. Green gave each of them a set of training to improve their abilities.

Vera was a bit surprised when Mr. Green gave a simple training to her.

”Please make a cube from your energy. The size is your classroom.”

Vera achieved it easily, even though she used a lot of energy.

”Then, compress this power until you can hold it in your hand.”

”What?” Vera was startled. If she compressed it, the energy would become more violent and unstable. The smaller it became, the more it was going to explode.

Mr. Green simply smiled at her, provoking her. ”You can’t do it?”

”No, sir. I can! I will!” Vera looked determined. She ended up getting blasted by her own power again and again, but she never gave up.

Mr. Green came to Ellia and gave her a few books. All of them were basic books of elemental control. ”Do everything in there.”

”...” Ellia looked at the basic books. She had long passed the basics, but Mr. Green’s assessment was accurate, so she lowered her pride and learned it no matter how boring they were.

For Katarina, Mr. Green put a bottle ten meters in front of her. ”Extend your energy to that bottle and try to pick it up. Similar to telekinesis, but just using your energy.”

Katarina concentrated and followed his task. It was hard because of the distance, but she managed to lift a one-kilogram bottle from a distance. This would have been easier if she had telekinesis, which belonged to the unique element.

Nevertheless, she succeeded.

”I did it... Do I need to control them around?”

”Yeah, but before that...” Mr. Green brought out a bottle crate. ”There are nineteen bottles in there. You have to lift all of them from the same distance first before doing the next step.”

Katarina froze. One was already hard enough. Even if she tried her best, her limit would be two or three bottles. And he actually wanted her to lift up all twenty bottles?

Unfortunately, she couldn’t complain.

Mr. Green continued to Auric and handed over a stack of papers. ”You’ve probably done this practice before, but we’re doing it on a whole new level. Each paper has four images. You have to shape your energy to all those images. Make sure the details are perfect, including the fibers.”

”Wow.” Auric smiled. This was indeed a ridiculous training, but he was quite excited to challenge his limits.

He had done this training in the past since Maya asked him to do it, but each image printed on the paper was actually ten times more difficult than his training in the past.

Auric didn’t complain. He started the training straight away.

Besides, Lindwurm even said, ”No wonder your teacher recommended him. He knows what he’s saying. Right now, you have all the elements, so what you need is to learn how to utilize them properly.”

Since Lindwurm had approved of him as well, there was nothing Auric needed to say.

Mr. Green and the other instructors taught every student no matter who they were. This was a matter of national pride, so they were cooperating with each other as much as possible.

The government was also quite clever because they picked only those who were willing to share their experience and insight without any reservations.

Some organizations or families had sent their own people to become instructors, but the government didn’t take them in, fully aware that they would just use the opportunity to grow their popularity and influence.

...

While the others were training, Arnie also received troubling news.

Arnie looked up, studying Jennifer’s expression.

”It looks like we’ve got a serious problem.”

”I think so, sir.”

”However, this is also good news. Since we’ve identified such a big traitor early, we will be able to proceed with the next step.”

”Are we going to move now, sir?” Jennifer asked.

”Not yet. Considering the current situation, it’s best to wait for a month. They will definitely make their move during the ETP. They are bound to make a mistake there. We will use that blunder to capture the Director.”

Jennifer frowned. ”But sir... if we interfere with a giant event like that...”

”It will be fine. They’re being protected by so many Rank 6 humans. All of them are great geniuses as well, so the casualties will be minimal.

”In exchange, we will be able to resolve things quickly.” Arnie nodded with a serious expression.

Jennifer still hesitated. ”I think we need to report it to the president first. Doing things like this can cause an international conflict.”

”Don’t worry about that, but since you insist, I will let you come with me the next time I visit the president.” Arnie nodded. ”Still, we need two things. The first is to clean things up. We won’t be able to act without cleaning up those pests.

”The second is to get reinforcements. We alone won’t be able to do this since what I’m planning to do is catch the Director, who has been hiding in their base. I’m still not sure whether we will find him in one of their branches or at their headquarters, but either way, the Director will be the first link to crack the case.”

”Understood. I will follow your orders, sir.”

”Be careful, Jennifer. You may want to warn your family first. Once we kick the hornet’s nest, the retaliation will be severe. You will be terrorized... Your family might experience the same thing too. So, make sure you warn them. We won’t be able to sleep until we catch them all.”

Jennifer’s expression turned solemn. ”Understood, sir. I will do my best.”

”Very well. You can go.” Arnie waved his hand as he continued reading the report.

This time, Arnie intended to end this once and for all. He had been chasing this terrorist group for far too long. This was probably his most difficult case, and he was ready to crush anyone standing in his way.
