”!!!” Supervisor Jacob was surprised. He had never seen an attack like this.

Supervisor Jacob tried to isolate himself with a barrier. However, the bigger bullets cracked his barrier. What was more impressive, however, was the fact that the bigger bullets didn’t just explode. Instead, they bounced back.

While the bullets lost their momentum because of the impact, the moment they hit the barrier, they would regain their momentum because of the wind element within the barrier. Their strength had also been amplified by the lightning element.

Bouncing like pinballs made it harder for Supervisor Jacob to create shields for each bullet. After all, the human mind was usually easier to read than random bounces from the barrier.

The only thing he could do was destroy the barrier.

Supervisor Jacob gritted his teeth as he released the ice element in all directions, freezing both the bullets and the barrier. The barrier shattered, but Supervisor Jacob had definitely used most of his strength at the same time, leaving himself almost defenseless.

That was when Ellia and Vera jumped in.

”Impressive.” Supervisor Jacob could still smile in this situation.

When Ellia and Vera slashed him, the next thing they knew, an energy eruption launched them away.

”Gah!” Ellia and Vera bounced on the ground once before stopping.

”All four of you are impressive. It turns out I had been underestimating you. As a result, I ended up being the first one to release my transformation.”

”...” Auric narrowed his eyes. Since Supervisor Jacob limited his power to Rank 4, it meant that he still had the advantage unique to Rank 4 humans: avatar transformation.

A snowflake symbol appeared on his back.

Supervisor Jacob snapped his fingers.

”Move back!” Auric shouted, seeing the power from Supervisor Jacob. He might not have the full God Mode, but his eyes could imitate its effects just for a single person.

That was why he knew the kind of power Supervisor Jacob was holding.

Katarina also activated her transformation right away, making sure that she had the power to fight back against the supervisor’s power.

However, his power had changed completely. Ellia and Vera jumped back as soon as they got up, but they suddenly heard Auric saying, ”Below you!”

They lowered their vision and tilted their heads as ice spikes emerged, almost hitting their heads.

After that, they leaped into the air, realizing that more spikes were coming. They managed to get away, but Supervisor Jacob effortlessly formed other ice crystals around him and fired them like cannonballs.

Katarina sent forth her bullets, but Supervisor Jacob simply glanced at them before the bullets froze and fell to the ground.

”What?” Katarina widened her eyes in shock.

”That’s not how you should use your transformation.”

Auric also sent forth a bolt of lightning covered in a wind element. He planned to let it burst to distract Supervisor Jacob.

Unfortunately for him, the lightning bolt also froze. Even the wind element that should have been able to forcefully erupt so that it could force the creation of a lightning explosion.

”Too weak for that.”

Auric knew it was obvious. That was why he used his Edict to fight him, but without it, his other abilities didn’t seem to be worth a glance.

He knew it, so he used his plant element to try something else.

All of a sudden, wood grew from the ice spikes, allowing the two girls to have a foothold.

”!!!” Ellia and Vera smiled. They took advantage of it to avoid the spikes coming toward them.

Vera then gathered her energy in her other foot. The moment she avoided the spike, she stepped on the air, using the circular energy to launch herself toward Supervisor Jacob.

She could fly, but launching herself like this was simply faster. Her job was to reach Supervisor Jacob as quickly as possible.

Meanwhile, Ellia didn’t even bother to reach him. She gathered her energy mid-air, ready to unleash her sword strike.

Right before she swung her blade, Ellia disappeared.

She reappeared at the same time that Vera reached Supervisor Jacob. Ellia’s position was behind Supervisor Jacob, while Vera faced him head-on. There was no way Supervisor Jacob could handle both of them at the same time.

Cleaving Wind.

Second Cataclysm.

Supervisor Jacob waved his hand as ice formed around his hands, ready to block both of them at the same time.

To his surprise, right after the ice formed, the ice shattered.

”!!!” Supervisor Jacob widened his eyes. He shifted his gaze to Auric. Katarina was able to pinpoint the exact location of his power and send her bullets to destroy it. It was as if Katarina could see the future.

Supervisor Jacob knew Katarina wasn’t capable of such a thing. That was why his eyes were on Auric.

’Is his sensitivity so high that he can even see the future like this? What is he exactly sensing?’ Supervisor Jacob couldn’t comprehend Auric’s talent.

At the same time, he formed a thick shield by predicting the paths of their blades.

Ellia and Vera struck him and cut through the barriers. However, most of their power had been contained by the barriers, leaving only a small cut on both his chest and his back.

Then Auric surprised him with yet another element.

”!!!” Supervisor Jacob’s body shook violently because a blazing explosion suddenly hit him.

”That’s... three hits, right?” Auric smiled. Ellia and Vera managed to gain a hit respectively, and Auric took advantage of the opportunity to deal additional damage.

”Indeed. It’s three hits.” Supervisor Jacob’s voice echoed from the smoke. ”I see. A fire element. Has it been registered?”

”At least Dermania should have known about it because of the hunting event.”

”Well, you can tell me how it happened later, but I can say that you are extraordinary. This is really reigniting the flame that I thought had already gone out.”

Supervisor Jacob waved his hand, and all the smoke was blown away.

Because of the flame explosion earlier, part of his clothes had been burned away, revealing the condition of his body.

Supervisor Jacob usually wore long sleeves, covering his body as much as possible. When he wasn’t doing anything, he would wear a suit.

Before this fight, Supervisor Jacob wore a T-shirt and his training jacket.

When Auric burned him, he ended up revealing all the scars he had been hiding all this time.

”!!!” Even Katarina couldn’t help but widen her eyes. His entire body was so damaged that wounds covered more of his body than his original skin was visible. ’Gunshots, burns, frostbite, slashes, and even stab wounds.

’How many wounds had he sustained?’ Katarina felt a chill down her spine. She had heard a lot about Supervisor Jacob.

Jacob, one of the most respected warriors in the country, was a student of the previous General of the Army, who was one of the three people responsible for the creation of this country.

He had followed the General of the Army to take down all kinds of enemies and had fought on some of the most brutal battlefields.

While he wasn’t as old as most Rank 6 humans, there were not many people who had experienced more battlefields than he had.

Auric already knew about Supervisor Jacob’s condition because of his eyes, but this was the first time he had seen someone whose body was covered in wounds like this.

Supervisor Jacob’s eyes became as fierce as those of a beast, as though he remembered the times he had fought on the battlefield.

”I should applaud you guys for being able to draw my instincts.” Supervisor Jacob smirked. ”In that case, I shall step up my game.”

”!!!” Auric saw the movement of energy in his body and hurriedly shouted, ”Get away!”

Ellia and Vera were startled, but they hurriedly jumped away, although Supervisor Jacob moved one beat faster.

Instead of freezing their entire bodies, Supervisor Jacob spread his ice faster even though it could only reach their feet.

Ellia and Vera looked down, seeing that there were connections between their feet and the frozen field. The ice wasn’t meant to freeze them. It was meant to stop their movement.

Supervisor Jacob formed an ice spear and threw it to Ellia.

”!!!” Ellia bit her lip and put her blade in front of her, trying to contain the spear. Sadly, the throw was too powerful. It broke the ice and blasted her for more than thirty meters.

Katarina hurriedly shot her bullets, trying to restrict his movement. At the same time, metal emerged from the ground, binding him.

Supervisor Jacob simply spun his body as the energy on his arm erupted. He expanded the energy around his arm to destroy the bullets and break the metal before punching toward Vera.

Vera struck the fist energy. Their clash lasted for a second before Vera realized that the fist energy was stronger than ever. As a result, she got hit by the fist energy as though she had been hit by a car, launching her farther than Ellia.

”Gah!”

Vera and Ellia were struggling to get up.

”Not good!” Katarina gathered all her strength, trying to protect Auric as Supervisor Jacob closed their distance in a single step.

Katarina and Supervisor Jacob clashed with their fists. Katarina’s fist was clad in scales from the transformation.

”Your control is good, but once you reach transformation, you need to know there are macro control and micro control. Macro control is the type of control you’ve been doing right now, while micro control focuses on the small movements that will impact the entire system.

”This is... micro control.” Supervisor Jacob suddenly released a bit of his energy.

Shockingly, Katarina’s scale-like barriers froze in a split second as Jacob’s fist destroyed them, allowing him to overpower Katarina.

Katarina gritted her teeth, but she couldn’t contain him anymore. In the end, she was blown away just like the others, leaving Auric as the only one still standing.

Supervisor Jacob continued toward Auric, ready to take him down.

Auric knew that there was nothing he could do to change the outcome. He could use his unique-element techniques such as Void Step to get away, but he didn’t plan to reveal them yet.

Instead, he thought of a cheap trick that might give him an opening.

”Your body is fixable.”

”!!!” Supervisor Jacob widened his eyes as his fist stopped right in front of Auric’s face.

Auric extended his hands toward Supervisor Jacob and released the lightning element, electrocuting him.

Supervisor Jacob looked surprised because he didn’t expect that he would fall for such a cheap trick like this.

”This is... the fourth, no, the fifth hit, right? I hit you in two spots...”

”That was one motion, so it counts as one attack.” Supervisor Jacob smiled as if he were amused by Auric’s character. At the same time, he opened his big hand and grabbed Auric’s head. ”And this... is all of you down!”

Supervisor Jacob slammed his head to the ground, causing the ground to crack.

Lindwurm looked at Auric, whose head was planted on the ground. ”I think you deserve that one.”
