THE GOD EATER

The ball of light dropping from the sky was actually very big. By his conservative estimate, it was more than 1,000 meters across.

This size meant nothing to him. However, it meant a lot to him that the ball of light was only as big as one of Heaven Eye’s eyes.

While he was admiring the size of the true body of Dao Lords, he reached out with one hand to grab the ball of light. Just because it was a hundred times taller than him and probably ten thousand times bigger than his current size didn’t mean that he had to take it seriously.

After all, he wasn’t a dragon. He was actually a world. And a super world to boot. He could even lift a world with one hand.

Besides, the ball of light shouldn’t be dense. So he didn’t think he had anything to worry about.

When the ball of light hit the palm of his hand, he felt a massive weight settle on the hand. The weight was so heavy that his hand sagged and the ball of light threatened to fall to the ground.

He quickly grabbed the ball of light with his other hand, so his two hands gripped it tightly. As he struggled to lift the ball of light, he fell to the ground. Then the ground cracked beneath his feet.

As it turned out, the ball of light wasn’t actually a ball of energy. It was a piece of glowing material. The light it was producing made it appear like a ball of light.

The glowing material was incredibly dense. Not only was it heavier than he expected, but it was also incredibly hot. Its surface nearly reached 10 thousand degrees centigrade. So it burned his hands as he gripped it.

It didn’t look like he was holding a crystal. In fact, it felt as if he was holding solidified fire. Both the light and heat of the glowing material caused everything around him to disintegrate or catch fire.

After throwing down the burning material, Heavenly Eye said, ”That’s a divine crystal. It is the only material you need to become a Dao Lord.”

”You will assimilate it into your Cave Heaven. Then you will fuse it with your Supreme Metac. The goal is to make it burn according to the instructions in your Supreme Metac.”

”You must convert it into energy. As long as you can reach a mass-to-energy conversion of 1%, you will have crossed the first hurdle.”

”If you’re successful, your Supreme Metac will become a star. The next step is to withstand the power of the star and use the power to transform your existence.”

”As long as you can withstand the power of the star, you will become a Dao Lord. If you fail to withstand the star, it will burn you from the inside out, and you die.”

Down below, Loki was listening attentively. For fear that she would gloss over this important part, he asked her, saying, ”How do I ensure that I can withstand the power of the star?”

Martial Will heard his question and couldn’t help but laugh. As he laughed, he said, ”You’re asking for too much. Her job is to tell you how to become a Dao Lord. You have to figure out the rest yourself.”

Heavenly Eye said to him, ”Your Life Fire currently resides in your Supreme Metac. When your Supreme Metac becomes a star, your Life Fire will transform. The quality of your Life Fire will improve, but you need to be able to withstand this improvement, or your Life Fire will burn you and turn you to ashes.”

”In general, your qualifications for advancement are Rank × Total Stats × Size of Supreme Metac × Conversion Efficiency of Life Fire. As long as you have 900 units of qualifications, you will be able to withstand the upgraded power of your Life Fire and successfully advance.”

”A rank 9 Dao Initiate with 8 units in all five of their stats will have a total stat of 40 units. If they use the minimum Minor Dao to ascend and they have a Life Fire with a conversion efficiency of 10%, their qualifications for ascension will be 9(Rank) × 40(Total Stats) × 9(Size of Supreme Metac) × 0.1(Life Fire), which is 324 units.”

”Such a rank 9 Dao Initiate will surely fail to ascend. But if they can improve the conversion efficiency of their Life Fire to 31%, they will have qualifications of 1,004.4 units and will be able to ascend. Do you understand?”

In response, Loki nodded and said, ”I understand perfectly well. Thank you very much.”

Heavenly Eye said, ”That’s good. You’re a dragon, so your Life Fire should have reached the limit of the conversion efficiency of 50%. With this, you have an edge over everyone else.”

”Take note that if you do not anchor your Supreme Metac, your Dao Rank will be 1 unit in the calculation of your qualifications, not 9 units. This is the importance of anchoring a Supreme Metac before initiating the ascension.”

”That is all. I have fulfilled my part of our deal. The rest is up to you. I wish you well on your endeavors.”

Loki thanked her again, saying, ”You have been more than generous with your part of the deal. Thank you very much for your help.”

Meanwhile, Martial Will was saying to Heavenly Eye, ”You have gone too far. It is as if you don’t want the dragon to die. Whose side are you on?”

His question made her roll her eyes and say inwardly, ”Of course I am on my side. I am on the side where I can get a Divine Spark and a Divine Tower all onto myself. What’s wrong with you?”

She didn’t say to him, though. What she said was, ”I’m just thinking ahead. I believe he might be a good ally for me when we eventually create our Divine Tower.”

Martial Will said suspiciously, ”Is that so?”
