THE GOD EATER

The sombre part of his mind was telling him not to get carried away and lose his head due to foolishness and greed. It was a good thing. Unfortunately, it was a losing battle because the part of him that was excited also had good reasons for being confident.

These two emotions were still battling within him when he reached the underground caves. But once he arrived at his destination, the two of them were killed and replaced with solemnity.

He discarded both excitement and wariness for focus. This was because it didn’t matter what he thought about the plan anymore.

At this point, he needed to focus and go all in to ensure success and preserve his life. It wouldn’t be of any help to second-guess himself or get distracted by excitement.

Unlike the last time he was here, he didn’t go underground. He stood above the forest on top of the caves. Then he unleashed the power of his external body.

Because of what he did, a strange influence began to permeate the area of 2117 kilometers around him. The effect of the strange influence was subtle since he hadn’t changed anything in the range of 2117 kilometers. He was only perceiving the components and natural changes going on within this area.

He had his eyes closed for maximum focus for this job. Then he focused on sensing everything that made up his external body.

In his perception, he saw law fragments jumping around in the world. These law fragments were in balance with each other and the world.

The law fragments operated based on an invisible underlying logic. This underlying logic was why they could transform from one pathway to another naturally.

In general, the world was in a state of balance. But he could tip the scales in his favor by injecting the rules of his Supreme Metac into the world.

As he sensed the world around him, he realized that it would be very easy for him to disrupt the balance of the world. But he didn’t do so now since it wasn’t what he came for.

He continued to perceive the changes in the world, watching instructions flow like water in a stream. Unfortunately, he couldn’t see anything to expose Golden Sun’s Cave.

This made him sigh in disappointment and say, ”It seems I was too optimistic. I’m not the only one in possession of an external body. If Dao Lords couldn’t find him, I am unlikely to do better either.”

He didn’t want to give up yet, though. He still had two things that he hadn’t tried yet. They are the Devouring Ability and using his Cave Heaven to seal the area.

Since the external body didn’t work, he decided to change the order of the world in this area. To do so, he used the Devouring Supreme Metac in conjunction with his external body to override the instructions in the area.

The instruction he picked to overturn the order was the Devouring Ability. Basically, he injected the Devouring Ability into the world around him. So instead of the black force field springing into existence from within him, the black force field just appeared around him.

The area within 2117 kilometers of him suddenly went dark. This area formed a black sphere around him. Everything within this black sphere either devoured something or was devoured by something.

If a Cave Heaven was hiding, he believed that it should be exposed at this point. Unfortunately, he still didn’t see anything. There simply wasn’t anything to see.

This made him shake his head and say, ”I am not crazy. I know that there is something here. I’ve seen it before.”

At this point, the will of the Blessed Heaven World had become alarmed. After all, he just took a big bite out of the world and left a pit that was 4,234 kilometers across and 2117 kilometers deep in the ground.

His antics caused the world to lose 7,039,821 kilometers square in a second. The whole Blessed Heaven with its five domains is 60 billion square kilometers, so what he just devoured was 0.01173% of the surface area of the whole world.

What he just did was insignificant on the surface. But if he were allowed to do the same thing 8,523 times, there would be no more Blessed Heaven World.

Even if he could only take 7,039,821 kilometers square every second, which is unlikely, he would be able to eat the entirety of the Blessed Heaven World in 2.37 hours.

For a world that has lived for over a hundred thousand years, 2.37 hours is akin to the blink of an eye. Because of this, the will of the world decided that he must be stopped. So he was deemed a threat to the existence of the world.

After the will of the Blessed Heaven World decided that he must be stopped, it broadcast its decision to every divine being through the divine constellation. But most divine beings who received the message ignored it.

No divine being thought that they could stop the dragon, and no divine being wanted to die. So they chose to stand by and watch like the survival of the Blessed Heaven World had nothing to do with them.

Of course, if the Blessed Heaven World were to be destroyed, they would lose their Divine Positions. Once this happens, most of them would die because of the loss of their Divine Positions. But as bad as this would be, it is only an unavoidable death.

There is nothing they can do to avoid that kind of death, as it is out of their hands. But there is a way to avoid dying in the hands of the dragon, and that was to stay away from the dragon. Clearly, they have chosen to avoid the unavoidable death.

Fortunately, there were still the sects and their Dao Lords to save the day. The message of the will of the Blessed Heaven World had also reached them, and they were mobilizing to take action.
