THE GOD EATER

According to his experience with killers, the most important thing to ensure is that they don’t touch him. This step has only become more important since Sword Mastero’s Supreme Metac will definitely injure him regardless of the power of his defensive means.

Even though his external body had cut off any means of ranged attacks from Sword Mastero, Loki wasn’t satisfied. He wanted to make himself untraceable. That way Sword Mastero won’t be able to hit him.

As for the Thousand Cuts Metac, it was to increase the lethality of the Devouring Ability. The job of the Thousand Cuts Metac was to increase his attack speed. It does this job by multiplying the injuries he inflicts on a target.

So the Thousand Cuts doesn’t actually increase the power of his attacks. It only helps him pile on damage faster by turning one hit into a thousand hits. Of course, this will cost him a thousand times more energy to use.

He had the energy to spend, so he felt that he could splurge. But the recipient, Sword Mastero, didn’t think he needed to spend so much on their fight.

Actually, Sword Mastero didn’t want to fight anymore. The avatar of the Dao Lord had given up on fighting after he lost the 1,000% of his amplification, while Loki retained his.

After he was suppressed BY Loki’s authority, he knew that he was going to lose. He didn’t need the lethality of the Devouring Ability to increase by a thousand times before he came to that conclusion, and he definitely didn’t need Loki to disappear from his perspective before deciding that he needed to escape.

His situation is definitely bad. What made it much worse was that the Killing Pathway lacked defensive capabilities, so Sword Mastero had to bear the full power of Loki’s attacks.

Fortunately, he had methods to escape danger, so his situation might not be hopeless. He employed one of the methods now and turned into a ray of red light.

The Divine Metac he activated was the Bloody Escape Divine Metac. He also turned himself into a mass of blood using the Blood Body Divine Metac. This was to minimize the amount of damage he was receiving from every attack.

Unfortunately for him, all of his means were thwarted by the Seal Metac. The black force field around his body had thickened to become a cocoon. The cocoon was so thick that it could serve as armor. Unfortunately, this armor was doing other things rather than protect him.

The armor was eating him and weakening him. The armor was also heavy, so it was slowing him down.

Because he was inside Loki’s external body, everything around him had turned into darkness and devouring. He couldn’t see Loki, and he couldn’t see anything else.

If not for the fact that his true body was in the sky and could see his condition, he wouldn’t be able to tell what direction he needed to go to escape. But the cocoon also made it feel as if he was stuck in a rock.

The Sealing Ability was suppressing him, so moving an inch had become difficult for him. Therefore, his chances of escaping were quickly approaching zero.

The true body of the Sword Mastero was looking down and watching how badly his avatar was performing. He wanted to act nonchalantly about the whole thing in order to maintain his image as a Dao Lord. But he couldn’t afford the loss of his avatar, so he had to take the matter of his defeat seriously and do everything in his power to win.

He is in possession of two pathways, of which one of them is a Grand Dao, and the other is a Minor Dao. The maximum size of a Minor Dao is 9 units, while the maximum size of a Grand Dao is 49 units.

Based on their volume alone, the gap between a Grand Dao and a Minor Dao is very wide. But the usefulness of a Grand Dao is far more than that.

If he were to lose the Killing Pathway, he would be losing at least 50% of his strength. Based on the volume of the two Daos, he would actually be losing close to 85% of his power. Such a loss would be directly crippling him.

He couldn’t take any chances, so he said to his partners, ”Don’t just watch me die. Help me.”

Martial Will said in mockery, ”If I call you our little brother, you’ll get displeased. Yet, you’re already calling for the help of your big brother just five seconds in battle.”

Before Sword Will could get angry, Martial Will said, ”Don’t get me wrong. I am willing to help you. It is just that you have to call me big brother before I help you.”

What he said only seemed to make the Dao Lord of the Sword Way Sect angrier. Sword Mastero’s eyes glowed brightly in anger, and he growled as he asked, ”Are you going to help me or not?”

In reply, Martial Will said, ”I can’t. Black Chains won’t let me.”

Tepid Scholar spoke up at this point, asking, ”How did you lose anyway? And so soon too.”

”How can you be even sure that you’ll lose? Surely, you must have more lifespan than him.”

This series of questions made Sword Mastero grit his teeth and say, ”I can’t suppress him with my Authority in the Killing Pathway. It is like he is in the Killing Pathway with me.”

Tepid Scholar immediately said, ”That’s impossible.”

In response, Sword Mastero said in agreement, ”That’s what I said.”

Heavenly Eye also said, ”You have to be mistaken somehow because a rank 9 Dao Initiate can only have one Pathway. Since he is already in the Devouring Pathway, he can’t be on the Killing Pathway. So there has to be a mistake somewhere.”

Inwardly, she thought to herself, ’Could this be because of the Divine Tower? I didn’t think it could do that?’
