THE GOD EATER

Loki nodded in understanding before saying, “Now, let’s talk about the last aspect of the power of divine beings. How do divine beings increase the size of their Cave Heaven?”

To which Hammock said with his deep baritone voice, “Increasing the size of the Cave Heaven is the easiest way to increase one’s power if only for the fact that it doesn’t require spending some lifespan to do.”

“You just need to find a Cave Heaven and fuse it with yours. You fuse it by covering the Cave Heaven with yours and assimilating it into your Cave Heaven.”

“Of course, you can only fuse the Cave Heaven of another cultivator of your pathway with the same kind of law fragments as yours. Plus, there is the obvious fact that Cave Heavens usually belong to someone, so you will probably need to fight the owner of the Cave Heaven, which will require that you spend some lifespan.”

“But if you’re lucky to stumble onto a Cave Heaven with an owner that is currently in the cycle of reincarnation, as long as you have more law fragments in your Cave Heaven than the amount of law fragments in the free Cave, you will be able to fuse the free Cave Heaven with your Cave Heaven without any problem.”

When Loki heard this, he said, “So you can’t fuse a Cave Heaven that has more law fragments than yours.”

In response, Hammock nodded and said in agreement, “Yes. You also can’t fuse a Cave Heaven that is bigger than yours.”

This reminded Loki of something, which made him say, “I guess this is how small worlds can’t assimilate each other and only bigger worlds can assimilate smaller worlds.”

Hammock nodded again and said, “Exactly. The two situations are similar.”

Loki remembered something else, which made him chuckle and say, “Let me guess again. Divine beings can’t sacrifice Cave Heavens to their Life Fire.”

But Hammock said, “That is not the case, master. Divine beings can also sacrifice Cave Heavens directly to their Life Fire, but it can only be done with Cave Heavens of the same pathway and is only done when a Cave Heaven has too many law fragments or is too big to fuse.”

Then he shook his head and said, “But because it is possible doesn’t mean it is advisable. Cave Heavens that are sacrificed will only provide some law fragments and a little lifespan.”

“A sacrifice to the Life Fire will be subject to the efficiency of the Life Fire. So, sacrificing the Cave Heaven will only provide a percentage of the total amount of law fragments and lifespan possible.”

“In the case of a divine being who ascended with an Energy Well of 90 units, their Life Fire will have an efficiency of 8.26%. So if they sacrifice a Cave Heaven of a size of 1,000,000 square kilometers and 1,000,000 law fragments, they will only get 0.0826 × √1,000,000 lifespan and 0.0826 × 1,000,000 law fragments.”

“Such a sacrifice will grant 82 years and 82,568 law fragments. On the other hand, even though no lifespan will be earned when a Cave Heaven is assimilated, fusion will increase the size of the Cave Heaven by 1,000,000 square kilometers and the law fragments by 1,000,000 law fragments.”

“1 million square kilometers and 1 million law fragments will increase power far more than an extra 82 years of lifespan, and 82,568 law fragments can. Besides, there are other methods to increase lifespan, while fusion is the only way to increase the size of the Cave Heaven, so fusion is always encouraged and preferred to sacrifice.”

What Hammock said reminded Loki of how he had earned 316 years or √100,000 square kilometers of lifespan from eating Gold Body’s Cave Heaven, not 50% of it as a dragon should.

This made him gain a newfound appreciation for Fenrir’s Devour Ability. After all, Fenrir seems to be twice as good at eating as dragons.

Hammock, who was oblivious to his thoughts, finished his answer by saying, “And that is how divine beings grow stronger in the aspect of cultivation rank, Divine Metac, stats, law fragments, Cave Heaven, and gaining more lifespan.”

“Is there anything else that you want to know, master?”

Before Loki answered the question, he thought back to his recent experience. He remembered how he technically had two Divine Positions, one in Fenrir and the other in the Gold Body Metac.

Then he remembered how Monarch Life’s Worth wanted his Gold Body Metac and began to wonder if her situation would be similar to his.

He also remembered the conditions that Forced Exchange had first offered him. This memory then made him wonder why divine beings came together to form a House of Commerce in the first place if they were only going to watch and do nothing while their partner was killed.

After thinking about all of these things, he chuckled as he said to Hammock, “I have so many things that I want to know. Where do I even begin?”

Then he said absentmindedly, as if he was ruminating about something while speaking, “I guess I should start at the very top. Then we will slowly work our way down together.”

So he said to Hammock, “You have said that divine beings can have more than one Divine Position. How will the Divine Positions be arranged in their Cave Heaven, how will the Divine Positions affect their Life Fire, and what are the benefits of having more than one Divine Position?”

Hammock thought about the question briefly before saying in reply, “There is nothing complicated about having more than one Divine Position. All the Divine Positions will sit in the core of the Cave Heaven without interacting with each other. So there shouldn’t be a problem having two or more Divine Positions.”

“In fact, I can’t think of a single disadvantage of having more than one Divine Position. All I can think of is her benefits. With two Divine Positions, your power will double if you can combine them.”
