THE GOD EATER

The storm god was only one being, but the storm it was controlling made the situation seem like it was all around her, striking her from every direction.

As she ran for her life, she thought to herself in fear, ’We are doomed. This is not a small world. This is not a small world.’

Then she screamed to the sky, saying, “Wait, let’s talk about this. I’m sorry for invading your world. I promise to stop killing your people if you let me go.”

She was surrendering to the enemy, and it wasn’t a pretense. She wasn’t lying at all about giving up. Her promise was sincere, but the storm god didn’t even consider accepting her surrender.

Lightning bolts continued to smash down from the sky, striking her again and again. The barrage soon became too much for her to bear, and she was soon struck down.

When she fell to the ground, every creature in the surrounding area swarmed her. They tore into her body with their teeth and claws as if they hated her.

The storm god stood above them, watching to make sure that she died. It didn’t leave until she was dead.

One of the creatures that attacked her was a centipede. At least, this was what it looked like to other centipedes. This creature looked like an alligator to other alligators and looked like a frog to other frogs.

When everyone was done tearing the enslavement cultivator apart, they scattered and went their separate ways. This creature also separated and left the swamp jungle.

The creature was actually flying through the air, but everyone who couldn’t fly thought that it was walking on the ground like them. This remained the case when she left the swamp.

The true form of this creature is a hazy mist. The hazy mist is in a humanoid form with two legs, two arms, and one head, but no one can see this.

Every creature that looks at this hazy mist will only see another being like them. This is because this being is actually a disciple of the Nexus of Truth Sect.

As a disciple of the Nexus of Truth Sect, it is up to her to find the truth or determine what the truth is. She is a deceiver, so her main power is distorting the truth.

After she escaped danger, she breathed a sigh of relief and said to herself, ’Fortunately, I am a shapeshifter, or I would be screwed.

Her Life Ability is the main reason she could survive, while the enslavement cultivator had died, even though the two of them had appeared near each other and had been within the sight of the storm god.

She had initially pretended to be an insect in order to sneak up on the enslavement cultivator. Her plan was to ambush and kill the enslavement cultivator. If the storm god hadn’t arrived when it did, she would have succeeded with her surprise attack.

But now that she thought about how the storm god had interrupted, she could only say, “It is a good thing that the world guardian came and stopped me when it did. If it hadn’t come and I had revealed myself to the world, there would be no escaping for me.”

“From now on, I have to forget about fighting and killing anyone. I have to stay hidden until the end of the month if I am to survive this Heavenly Battlefield.”

Then she thought about how the others were faring. What she estimated of their condition made her shake her head and say, “We are doomed. We are soon doomed, and it is the fault of the divine beings.”

“How divine beings have stolen all of our power and are hoarding it for themselves. Their endless greed has made it so that the 5 cultivators can’t even compare with the world guardians of a medium world. Who would believe it now when we claim that we are supposed to be the world guardians of a super world?”

She doesn’t think that the power of the world guardians of this world is too wide. She only believes that the power of rank 5 cultivators is too weak, and she blames divine beings for this.

In the Blessed Heaven World, there is a massive gap between the power of divine beings and rank 5 cultivators. But according to what she knows, in a large world, this gap shouldn’t be so wide.

She has been able to pinpoint that the massive gap was created because rank 5 cultivators can’t advance with the aid of the world anymore. Instead, rank 5 cultivators have to rely on themselves.

Rank 5 cultivators use fragments of a dead world heart to advance, and when they finally advance, they still have to expand their existence and grow their Power Core before they can reach their full power. Even the world guardians of small worlds have better treatment than this.

In a small world, a world guardian will automatically reach their full potential as soon as they become a world guardian. So the world guardians of small worlds don’t have to eat weaker cultivators with their Life Ability or absorb divine energy from the sect to grow their Power Core.

However, there is no difference between the power of rank 5 cultivators and the power of the world guardians of small worlds because both of them use their potential as the basis of their Power Core. So no matter how they achieve full Power Core, the limit is 100 units.

In fact, since the cultivators of the Blessed Heaven World can raise their talent to 90 units, they are usually much stronger than their counterparts, the world guardians of small worlds.

This difference in talent is usually why a small world will hold a competition before selecting a new world guardian. This will ensure that the new world guardian will be the best of the best.

Unfortunately, things take a worse turn when a world becomes a medium world.
