THE GOD EATER

The amount of lifespan that he gained from eating that Cave Heaven made him smile and say, “316 years isn’t so bad. And the law fragments, too, are excellent. I dare say that it is a generous amount of law fragments.”

He had gained 316 years of lifespan and 152,863 law fragments. The 316 years of lifespan is the square root of the size of the Cave Heaven that was devoured, and it more than made up for the cost of acquiring the Cave Heaven.

The 152,863 law fragments also raised his total law fragments from 21 to 152,884 law fragments. This will raise the boost of the law fragments from 100% to 500%.

This made him say, “All in all, it is a worthy investment. With this much lifespan, I can finally give the Seal Ability a try without waiting for someone to die.”

What he gained from devouring that Cave Heaven was satisfactory, but lifespan and law fragments aren’t the main things he started this hunt for. His main goal is still the Divine Position.

So as he was speaking, he had already activated the Gold Body Divine Metac. This caused the Divine Position to respond and begin descending towards him.

This time, when the Divine Position entered his Cave Heaven, it found the core of his Cave Heaven to be a bright star, not a black star. But this didn’t prevent the Divine Position from entering the core of his cave Heaven to seek the Gold Body Divine Metac.

A few seconds later, the Divine Position had fused with the Gold Body Divine Metac in the core of his world. The product of their fusion ignited and turned into a star. So two stars had appeared in the core of his Cave Heaven.

The presence of two stars in the core of his Cave Heaven didn’t change him fundamentally. He was still a rank 6 divine being. But the Divine Position did grant him infinite energy, which raised his base stats from 5 units to 5.5 units.

The Divine Position also granted him access to the constellation of stars in the third dimension. With this access, he can now spend some lifespan to check the past and history of a target.

These changes to his existence made him nod and say to himself, “So not every divine being can check the information of everything that has happened in this world. Only the divine being of this world can check the information of things in this world.”

After he said this, he frowned and said, `But why is Fenrir no longer interested in eating this Divine Position? Does it mean that this Divine Position will offer me no more benefits? Do I have to eat a different Divine Position or not bother with Divine Positions again?`

Usually, when Fenrir encounters something powerful, it has the urge to eat it. This happened the very first time they killed the golden divine being, and his Divine Position was exposed. Fenrir wanted to eat it at all costs.

At that time, he had been surprised by the fact that he had killed the divine being and hadn’t moved. But Fenrir had rushed after the Divine Position to eat it. That’s how much Fenrir wanted to eat the Divine Position.

Of course, Fenrir had failed in its attempt back then. It wasn’t until later that he managed to eat the Divine Position.

But now that the Divine Position is on a platter and ready to be eaten, Fenrir is no longer interested in eating it. This kind of thing has only happened when Fenrir has had too much of something to eat.

It happened with Core Metacs and the Power Core of world guardians. So he knows from experience that eating something when Fenrir doesn’t feel any allure for that thing is unlikely to yield anything useful.

But he still wants to try. He also wants to see if he can take back the lifespan that he just earned with him into the past. So he still made Fenrir devour the Divine Position.

But he didn’t stop there. He also devoured his Cave Heaven. Then he activated the Rewind Metac and went into the River of Time.

When he came to, he had just finished fusing with the Divine Position and had become a divine being. At this time, the next thing he would do was check out the extradimensions. Then he would take some time to admire his new divine body.

But instead of enjoying his newfound power, what he did was to use the Power Identification Ability to check his state of existence.

Race: Dragon

Available Lifespan: 41 Years 2 Months

Cultivation Rank: 6

Cave Heaven: 87,381,333 square kilometers

Body: 5 >> 6

Soul: 5 >> 5.5

Mind: 5 >> 5.5

Will: 6(6%)

Insight: 6

Law Fragment(Amplification): 21(100%)

CORE METAC: Fenrir (Power Identification. Tracking. Seal. Devouring. Siphon. Power Shifting).

DIVINE METAC(RANK): Rewind(6). Splitting Edge(6). Mind Freeze(6). Nanite(6). Vengeful Bones(6).

When he saw this, he asked himself, saying, ’I haven’t used the Nanite Metac yet to change my body, so the power of my body should be at 5 units, not 6 units. My mind and soul also should be at 5 units.’

’So the question is, what caused the increase in power? Is it Fenrir’s doing alone, or is it because of the Divine Position that I brought back?’

Then he shook his head and said, ’I can’t figure it out. So I have to devour a Divine Position again to see if there will be another increase in my power.’

’But three things are clear. The first is that I can no longer bring Divine Metacs back with me. I also can’t bring law fragments with me. The third thing is that I also can’t seem to bring extra lifespan with me into the past.’

The third thing made him sigh and say, ’This is so frustrating. If I had known, I would have just spent the extra lifespan on making Fenrir improve the power of my stats.”
