THE GOD EATER

The only good thing about his inability to take nothing through time other than his memories was that the Rewind Metac didn’t consume his lifespan to take effect. So things aren’t all bad. But he is still unsatisfied with this and wants something better.

Fortunately, this experience has inspired him and has given him some ideas about what to do to solve the problem. He began to think more about these possible solutions while also considering his next plans.

He spent the next couple of hours sitting there while his Cave Heaven formed, and people lay unconscious around him. When the Cave Heaven had finally formed, he left the awakening room with Muni.

This time, he is still going to attack the golden divine being. He hasn’t given up just yet. He would need to fail at least twice before he gives up.

As he thought of his plan, he said to himself, ’Of course, I won’t do the same thing I did last time. Since he doesn’t want to fight me, I will take the fight to him.’

It is said that doing the same thing over and over again while expecting a different result is insanity. He is not insane, so he plans to take the golden divine being off guard by attacking them immediately after they appear.

His goal is to cripple the body of the golden divine being or grab the divine being with something and hold on to them so that they can’t escape. This way, he will be able to force a fight and have his way.

In order to achieve this plan, he went all out. He spent one month earning a lot of money. Then he created several large wolves that he set around the city. These wolves were to attack the golden divine being, no matter where he appeared.

Unfortunately, this plan didn’t work. It even failed faster than before. This was because not only did he have a large Cave Heaven, but he was also actively attacking a divine being.

The golden divine being ran away immediately after he sensed danger and didn’t bother to use the Insight Stat to figure out what was going on before retreating. So even before the tear in space that he used to arrive, he stepped back into it and ran away.

Loki was dismayed by this turn of events and thought that this would be the end of it. But then he saw something that made his face light up.

He and the vessels of Fenrir had blanketed the whole area with the engulfing power. In the past, this wouldn’t have been able to affect the divine being or stop him. But things were different this time around because he had a Cave Heaven.

His Cave Heaven is also in another dimension, and this dimension is aligned with the dimension that the Cave Heaven of the divine being was in. So this time, the black blanket of engulfing power was able to make contact with the Cave Heaven of the divine being and grabbed it.

This turn of events had surprised Loki, so he was a little slow to react, but the golden divine being wasn’t surprised at all.

Monarch Golden Body said to himself, ’I knew it. There was something wrong here.’

Then he roared in anger and said inwardly, ’I won’t let you have your way. Either I have it, or no one does.’

The first thing he did was to resist, so he used all of his power to punch the black blanket that was covering him and his Cave Heaven. This power consumed six years of his lifespan and created a power so great that the black blanket around him was torn apart.

Unfortunately for him, this attack only freed him from the engulfing force. It didn’t free his Cave Heaven from the black blanket.

The problem was that his Cave Heaven was too small and weak. His Cave Heaven couldn’t win in a clash with Loki’s Cave Heaven. So he would need to take action again to free his Cave Heaven.

However, he couldn’t take action again because he only had four years of lifespan remaining. He had ten years of lifespan remaining, but had just used up six of them.

There was no way around it. As a rank 6 Divine Metac, his Gold Body Metac must always consume six years of lifespan for its activation. So now that he doesn’t have a lifespan anymore, only death awaits.

As this realization dawned on him, he sighed in defeat. Then he chose to commit suicide. To be specific, he chose to destroy his Core Divine Metac.

In any other situation, he could have died with grace. This is because, as long as his Cave Heaven remains, he can always return to his position.

He should be able to have this confidence since he made the Gold Body Metac himself with a mutated Life Ability. So only he and the sect should know the method to refine the Gold Body Metac.

With this kind of monopoly on the information, no one will be able to replace him while he reincarnates. But he can’t be relaxed this time around because his Cave Heaven has been grabbed. This means that after he dies, his Divine Metac in his Cave Heaven will be taken.

With these kinds of circumstances, he is sure that if he dies, he will surely be replaced by another person, and his Cave Heaven will be destroyed. So rather than let an enemy do this to him, he would rather destroy his Divine Metac and preserve a chance at returning.

As soon as he made his decision, his Cave Heaven fractured and broke apart. Then the Cave Heaven fell apart.

As his Cave Heaven scattered and was engulfed by the black blanket, the Divine Position within the Cave Heaven became free and rose up from the debris.

This time, Loki didn’t feel any backlash even though the black blanket was surrounding the Divine Position and was trying to eat it. The black blanket was still torn apart by the Divine Position, though.
