The Forensic Doctor Better Than a Detective

Chapter 286: Chapter 184: Jiang An’s Meticulous Analysis

Although Jiang An spoke very briefly, it made a lot of sense.

In an instant, he felt a refreshing sense of newness.

Earlier, this case had undergone multiple, repeated studies, and many people had offered their perspectives.

However, with Jiang An, he heard the most comprehensive and professional analysis.

Particularly the specialized terms ”transduction violence” and ”initial velocity,” which made Zhang Feng view Jiang An with newfound respect.

Originally, Zhang Feng only intended for Jiang An to come and take a look at the case files.

If Jiang An had nothing substantial to say, he would send him back to Jiangcheng immediately.

But he hadn’t expected that, in just half an hour, Jiang An could articulate so much.

After pondering for a moment, Zhang Feng looked up and said, ”Comrade Jiang An, your analysis is excellent.”

”So, in your opinion, what should the entire death process be like?”

Jiang An looked at the photos in the case files and said solemnly, ”I believe the death process is divided into two stages.”

”Two stages?”

”The first stage involves a process of a high fall.”

”However, the position where the deceased fell wasn’t on the ground, but on a moving vehicle.”

”In the second stage, the deceased fell from the vehicle onto the road surface, and the body friction with the ground caused extensive skin abrasions.”

Boom!

Everyone’s eyes widened, staring directly at Jiang An.

It has to be said, this line of thinking is really quite bold!

Even Mr. Zhang was looking incredulous.

For detectives, after all, any point of view must be backed by sufficient evidence.

Sitting beside him, Zhang Yean and Wan both turned their heads to look at Jiang An simultaneously.

Saying this kind of speculative reasoning in front of the head of the team, wasn’t it too much?

In the minds of both Zhang Yean and Wan, Jiang An was a very meticulous person.

No matter the viewpoint, he would always provide one or two, even three justifications.

Sometimes even four, five, or six justifications.

What’s going on?

He seemed out of sorts in front of the head of the team today!

Seeing this, Wan hurriedly explained, ”Chief, we’re really sorry.”

”Jiang An had a bit to drink at noon, and the alcohol might not have fully metabolized, so his thoughts aren’t very clear.”

”Shall we take the case files back for a detailed review and then provide you with a comprehensive report?”

Zhang Yean also advised, ”Mr. Zhang, Jiang An has always performed well in his duties, receiving multiple commendations and awards.”

”It’s just that at noon in Han City, Mr. Liu was a bit too hospitable.”

”He drank quite a lot, and hasn’t fully recovered.”

Seeing this, Sun Yiming quickly mediated.

”Chief, this case is very complicated.”

”Comrade Jiang An rushed over here, and I suggest letting them rest a bit before conducting a focused study. What do you think?”

Zhang Feng glanced up and waved his hand.

He smiled slightly, ”I actually think what Comrade Jiang An said makes a lot of sense, and I completely agree with it.”

In an instant, the other three were dumbfounded, looking at each other.

For a moment, all three of them felt an unreal sensation.

As if they were dreaming.

Mr. Zhang actually accepted his idea?

Impossible!

Absolutely impossible!

Sun Yiming knew the team leader best, having assisted in case handling alongside him for years.

Mr. Zhang was a very rigorous person.

Even if a case was unsolved, he would never resort to desperate measures.

Sun Yiming looked up at the team leader, about to speak, but was interrupted by him.

Zhang Feng said solemnly, ”Earlier, Comrade Jiang An’s analysis was very good.”

”I have always been puzzled about why a single corpse would exhibit characteristics of death from a high fall as well as a traffic accident.”

”Now, I finally understand.”

”The two-stage death process described by Comrade Jiang An is precisely the point of intersection.”

With Mr. Zhang’s affirmation, the other three exchanged looks of astonishment, not knowing what to say for the moment.

However, to the three of them, Jiang An’s conclusion surpassed the normal logic and reasoning of criminal investigation.

Just as the three wore confused looks, Zhang Feng asked again, ”Comrade Jiang An, please continue to elaborate on the process in detail.”

Almost as if finding a confidant, Jiang An began, ”Mr. Zhang, I believe the female deceased initially fell from a height.”

”The environment at the site where the body was discovered also supports this possibility.”

”Below the position where the deceased fell was a wide road.”

”Although the factory has shut down, vehicles should have used this road.”

”Through the photos, I saw evidence of tire wear.”

Zhang Feng nodded, saying, ”You’re right, and your observation is very meticulous.”

”According to the earlier investigation, large trucks would pass through here at night.”

”As a result, you could see distinct tire wear marks on this road.”

Then, Mr. Zhang nodded upward, indicating Jiang An should continue.

Jiang An said, ”Therefore, I believe there are indeed conditions for a high fall at this death scene.”

”Moreover, it’s entirely possible for the deceased to have fallen onto a moving vehicle.”

”As for why the task force hasn’t located the falling point.”

”I think the area above where the body was found is not the starting point of the fall from a height.”

Hearing this explanation, Zhang Feng suddenly realized.

The task force had a viewpoint that it was a death from a high fall, but the falling point remained a mystery.

Back then, they examined the office buildings on both sides of the body multiple times.

Despite the involvement of many scene investigation experts, they returned empty-handed.

It turns out, the issue lay here!

According to Jiang An’s analysis, the deceased should have fallen from a great horizontal distance.

As Zhang Feng delved deeper in thought, Jiang An continued, ”I believe at this death scene, the initial falling point of the deceased wasn’t directly above the location where the body was found, but on a distant office building.”

Then, he looked down at the case files.

”This road is very wide, and there are no cameras.”

”The vehicles passing through here are basically speeding.”

”So, in searching for the high fall point, I think we need to expand the horizontal distance as much as possible.”

After listening, Mr. Zhang nodded.

He quickly said, ”Makes sense.”

”That’s why we haven’t been able to locate the falling point.”

Then, Mr. Zhang asked, ”Jiang An, what type of vehicle do you think the deceased fell onto after falling?”

Jiang An thought for a while.

He said, ”After the fall from a height, the deceased didn’t immediately lie flat on the ground, but went through several bounces.”

”Therefore, for identifying the vehicle, I currently don’t have concrete evidence to give a definitive answer.”

”However, I think we should first rule out the possibility of a car.”

”Rule out a car?”

”Why?”

”Because cars are relatively small; if a human body impacts them, their stability is poor.”

”Whether it hits the hood, sunroof, or even the rear, such a large impact could easily cause the vehicle to lose control and crash into side barriers.”

”However, I carefully examined the photos earlier and did not find any noticeable deformation on the road barriers.”

”Therefore, I think ordinary small vehicles can be initially excluded.”

After pausing for a moment, Jiang An analyzed, ”In my view, it’s likely a large sand truck or container truck.”

”These vehicles are large, and the impact from a human body wouldn’t significantly affect the driving, possibly not even alert the driver.”

Zhang Feng listened and nodded gently.

”Makes sense! I completely agree.”

He then turned his head and said, ”Yiming, contact the task force’s personnel immediately for an emergency meeting to organize and deploy the next direction for the investigation.”
