The Forensic Doctor Better Than a Detective

Chapter 281: Chapter 182: Invitation from the Superior Task Force!

After hanging up the phone, Mr. Liu’s heart remained restless for a long time.

He sat on the bed, continuously pondering the case.

Since the case occurred, he had suffered from insomnia for many nights.

The public security in Han City has been improving continuously, and there has not been a case involving the murder of two people in the last five years.

Now suddenly there appeared a case of two people dead, and it involved elderly rural residents, with the killer’s motive being burglary and murder.

The nature of the case was extremely vile and had a significant impact.

As the head of the Han City Public Security Bureau, the pressure on him doubled.

Tonight, he was once again suffering from insomnia.

However, this time it was due to excessive excitement.

While his heart was filled with excitement, his wife beside him lifted her hand and patted him, ”Mr. Liu, what’s wrong?”

Mr. Liu tossed back the covers and said, ”I can’t sleep!”

He put on his clothes and walked out of the bedroom.

Turning on the living room lights, and looking out the window, he saw that it was pitch black outside.

Mr. Liu sat on the sofa, lit a cigarette, and blew smoke rings one by one.

His interest in Jiang An was growing stronger.

Initially, he had heard that Mr. Li had invited a criminal investigation expert from Jiangcheng.

But after learning that Jiang An hadn’t even passed the probation period, Mr. Liu paid no attention to it, even thinking that Mr. Li was somewhat confused.

Looking back now, Mr. Liu’s lips curled slightly, and he shook his head.

He really shouldn’t have assumed so at the beginning.

After thinking for a long time, the sky gradually began to lighten outside.

At 8 o’clock in the morning, Mr. Liu dialed the number of Mr. Zhang, the head of the criminal investigation team.

”Hello!”

”Mr. Zhang! I’m really sorry to bother you on the weekend!”

”No problem! Please, go ahead, Mr. Liu!”

”Mr. Zhang, the news is so exciting that I had to report it to you immediately!”

”The double homicide in Han City has been successfully solved, and the suspect is in custody.”

”So fast?”

Mr. Zhang was somewhat surprised.

He remembered contacting Mr. Liu the day before yesterday and the case was still unsolved.

It’s been only 48 hours, could there really be a qualitative leap?

Suddenly, Mr. Zhang started to doubt the resolution of the case.

After thinking a bit, he said solemnly, ”Mr. Liu, this case has a significant impact and the pressure to solve it is high, but we must not overlook the quality of solving the case for the sake of efficiency.”

”Certainly, Mr. Zhang!”

Mr. Liu quickly assured, ”Our Han City investigation always adheres to the principle of handling every case as an ironclad case.”

”Especially this case!”

Mr. Liu continued to report, ”Mr. Zhang, in fact, I initially didn’t believe we could solve this case, but it is indeed a fact.”

”Oh?”

Mr. Zhang asked, ”Did the suspect have a pang of conscience and turn themselves in?”

”Haha, not at all, the two suspects were particularly cunning.”

Hearing this, Mr. Zhang’s curiosity grew even more.

What was going on?

The task force had been working for over a month with no progress, and suddenly there was a breakthrough in just 48 hours?

After contemplating for a while, Mr. Zhang asked, ”Did you get outside assistance?”

Mr. Liu chuckled and said, ”Mr. Zhang, you strategize from a thousand miles away, I knew I couldn’t hide anything from your eyes.”

”Where did this outside help come from?”

Mr. Zhang asked curiously.

”Reporting to Mr. Zhang, we specially invited an expert from Jiangcheng to guide us, and it worked wonders!”

”Is this criminal investigation expert really that formidable?”

Mr. Liu answered, ”Indeed, initially I had no expectations, but the results astounded me.”

Upon hearing this, Mr. Zhang suddenly thought of a perplexing case in his hand that had no leads for a long time.

He suddenly conceived a plan.

Immediately, he asked, ”What’s the name of this criminal investigation expert?”

Mr. Liu replied, ”Jiang An.”

Instantly, the image of Jiangcheng’s criminal investigation elites flashed through Mr. Zhang’s mind.

In his impression, there wasn’t an elite named Jiang An?

Then, Mr. Zhang asked, ”Mr. Liu, are you certain it’s a criminal investigation expert from Jiangcheng?”

”I’ve never heard of this Jiang An.”

Mr. Liu replied with a smile, ”Jiang An has been on the job for less than two months, still a newcomer in the police force.”

”A newcomer in the police force?”

On the other end of the phone, Mr. Zhang was instantly stunned, looking incredulous.

Less than two months on the job?

Already a criminal investigation expert?

Solving a difficult case within 48 hours?

These three statements lingered in his mind.

Mr. Zhang has been in criminal investigation for a long time and has encountered many criminal experts.

However, within 48 hours, an expert capable of solving such a case is rare.

And it turned out to be a young person who had just started work for two months?

”Is this true?”

Mr. Zhang asked once more.

”Absolutely true, I guarantee it with my personal integrity, there’s no exaggeration whatsoever.”

After a long silence, Mr. Zhang solemnly said, ”Mr. Liu, if you hadn’t said it yourself, I really wouldn’t believe there is such talent.”

”Not just you, if it weren’t a case in our jurisdiction, I wouldn’t believe it either.”

After a bout of surprise, Mr. Zhang congratulated, ”Congratulations to you all, solving the case is worthy of great joy!”

”Thank you, Mr. Zhang. This case hadn’t been solved for a long time, and you frequently inquired and guided us, it has been a concern for you!”

”The initial intentions are the same, as long as the case gets solved!”

After hanging up, Mr. Zhang stood on his balcony, lost in thought.

Given this young person’s exceptional talent in criminal investigation, he decided to put him on this difficult case as a test to see if he truly is a sharp sword in criminal investigation.

On the other side, after hanging up the phone, Mr. Liu felt a great sense of relief.

This case, for a month and a half, felt like a huge mountain pressing down on him, making it hard to breathe.
