The Forensic Doctor Better Than a Detective

Chapter 256: Chapter 171: Jiang An’s Deduction

”Although the forensic autopsy environment in Jiangcheng has been greatly improved, there is still a significant gap compared to Han City.”

”Then I’ll accompany you for a tour.”

Immediately after, the three of them entered the forensic autopsy center under the introduction of Deputy Director Li Hongbing.

Li Hongbing led the way while introducing.

The facial recognition access system, one-touch switches, along with the ventilation and air purification systems, eliminated any unpleasant odors indoors.

Zhang Yean and Wan looked around and praised the equipment inside.

Suddenly, Mr. Zhao said, ”Mr. Jiang, do you think we should arrange for two forensic experts from Han City to come over to assist you?”

Jiang An, after hearing this, shook his head and replied, ”Not for the time being.”

”I’ll first examine the body and if I need to recall the situation during the autopsy, then I’ll ask them to come over.”

”Alright, just let us know whenever you need it.”

”This way, our two forensic experts from Han City can come and learn from you.”

Saying this, Jiang An entered the forensic autopsy preparation room and put on a white forensic autopsy suit.

Then, Jiang An pushed open the door to the autopsy room and saw bodies placed on two autopsy tables.

Deputy Director Li Hongbing said, ”Brother Jiang An, the bodies of an elderly couple have all been laid out.”

Jiang An nodded and walked to autopsy table number 1.

He reached out to unzip the body bag and first saw the face of the deceased elderly male.

As the zipper of the body bag was pulled open, the entire torso of the elderly person was exposed.

Since the body had already undergone systematic autopsy by forensics in Han City, a vertical incision could be seen on the deceased’s chest and abdomen, with many sutures along the edges, resembling a long centipede.

Unlike previous forensic autopsies, this time Jiang An did not immediately pick up the Willow Leaf Blade or tweezers.

Instead, he stood quietly by the stainless steel autopsy table, observing.

This time, Jiang An decided to only focus on key areas for autopsy examination.

After observing for 5 minutes, Jiang An’s gaze settled on the male corpse’s chest.

Under the right nipple on the chest, there was a patch of bruised skin.

This spot should be where the chest was subjected to external force.

Although the chest skin was not cut open, Jiang An guessed that underneath this bruised skin, there might be a rib fracture.

Then, Jiang An brought his index and middle fingers together and gently touched the bruised area.

Suddenly, a faint sound of bone friction was heard in his ear.

This is an important characteristic of a rib fracture.

Immediately, Jiang An turned his head and said, ”Sister, please take a photo of this area.”

Zhang Yean nodded, turned around, and picked up the camera next to her.

”Click” went the shutter as the photo was taken.

Immediately after, Jiang An’s gaze moved to the male deceased’s face.

Two minutes later, his eyes suddenly lit up, as if something was wrong.

Then, Jiang An asked, ”Mr. Zhao, when you first examined the body, did the forensic experts inspect the deceased’s face?”

Mr. Zhao recalled for a moment.

He replied, ”I remember they examined the face, paying special attention to the mucous membranes of the lips and eyelids.”

After observing for a long time, Jiang An muttered to himself, ”Did you notice that the male deceased’s face is somewhat deformed?”

”Facial deformation?”

”Facial deformation?”

....

In an instant, several people around were baffled, their gazes shifting between Jiang An and the deceased.

Li Hongbing leaned over, staring at the male deceased’s face.

Then he turned and said, ”You might be on to something, the deceased’s face really does look a bit deformed.”

Mr. Zhao touched his own facial outline and asked, ”What’s going on? How could it be deformed?”

Jiang An carefully examined again and said in a deep voice, ”I think it’s like a jaw dislocation.”

Then, he reached out and touched both sides of the jaw.

After thinking for a while, Jiang An said, ”I suspect that the male deceased’s jaw was subjected to external force, causing it to dislocate.”

”Jaw dislocation!”

Wan raised his hand and touched his own jaw, ”This kind of dislocation is really rare.”

Jiang An did not directly express his opinion.

At this moment, Jiang An touched both sides of the male deceased’s upper and lower jaw.

He found that at the junction of the upper and lower jaws, the joint had dislocated from the joint cavity.

To put it more plainly, the jaw was dislocated.

Then he used both hands to fully expose the deceased’s neck and jaw area.

In the middle section of the deceased’s right mandible, three faint red dots could be seen.

”Sister, please take a photo of this area with the camera.”

”Click” went the shutter.

Zhang Yean pressed the shutter, looked at the photo, and asked, ”What is this?”

Meanwhile, Li Hongbing and Mr. Zhao both bent over to observe, their faces full of confusion.

”There are just three red dots here!”

”There is no sign of external impact bleeding or wounds at this spot.”

Jiang An nodded and explained, ”This area has less muscle tissue and fewer blood vessels.”

”If a harder blunt object is used to strike, it’ll easily cause noticeable bleeding.”

”However, if a softer object is used, it won’t easily cause noticeable bleeding or wounds.”

”A softer object?”

”What could it be?”

Everyone around was instantly deep in thought.

Two minutes later, Jiang An raised his right hand, made a fist, and brought it in front of his eyes.

”I deduce it might have been the use of a fist!”

”Because the hand has a lot of skin and muscle, making the contact area softer, hitting the jaw won’t easily cause bleeding or wounds.”
