Nexus Ascension: My Comprehension Defies the Heaven

Chapter 613: Breakthrough to 9th Rank

”Dao Generation” worked for those who used Dao as their anchor, but his second method had nothing to do with Dao at all. It needed something different, something that captured the true essence of what both methods actually represented.

His eyes flickered with thought as he analyzed the connection between both paths.

Both methods concerned themselves with the same fundamental concept. The Dao amplification method merged the Dao with one’s Source, their very origin of power. The Summit method measured how perfect one’s existence was, and that perfection stemmed from their origin as well.

Everything came back to origin.

”Origin Generation Realm. Let’s just call it that.”

The Heavenly Dao’s fragment tilted its head. ”Origin? Not Dao?”

”Yep. Origin.” Grey replied with a smile. ”The Dao method still exists for those who want it, but calling the entire realm ’Dao Generation’ would be misleading. Both paths are about origin, one merges Dao with your origin, the other measures how perfect your origin is. The name fits perfectly.”

The Dao of Space nodded hearing his reasoning. ”That makes sense.”

”Origin Generation Realm it is then.”

But the realm name was not the end. There was now another step to be completed.

A realm was not just a single breakthrough, there were levels within each stage, gradations of power that separated the newly ascended from the truly mighty.

The 9th rank would naturally follow the same pattern, and Grey set to work establishing the level structure.

There will be six stages in total like usual.

For the traditional Dao method, the path forward was straightforward.

Evolvers would condense Dao Notes through continued comprehension and strengthening of their Dao Seed, with twelve Dao Notes required to advance to the next level.

The process demanded deep meditation and constant refinement of one’s understanding.

But his Summit of Nexus path required something different entirely, and Grey’s mind worked through the possibilities.

The Dao helped strengthen one’s Source through comprehension and even helped with the development of Dao notes.

But he could make it even more simpler and make the advancement the same for both methods with the help of Summit of Nexus.

It responded to perfection, to growth, to meaningful change in the fate of reality itself.

”The Summit will assist them,” Grey murmured, his thoughts crystallizing into rules as he wove new principles into the Creator Invocation Space.

Every time a pathstrider practiced and showed genuine improvement, the Summit would respond.

Every time they comprehended a new concept or pushed past their limits, power would flow to them.

But that was only the beginning,.

Grey added more conditions with each passing moment.

Changing the fate of a universe would grant power.

Altering histories, uncovering ancient mysteries, fighting battles that pushed one to their absolute limits, all of these would earn rewards from the Summit.

Each fate-changing action, each extreme combat, each moment of genuine growth would accumulate into power that could be used to level up through Origin Generation Realm.

”The Summit Of Nexus will give enough power to generate their Origin.” Grey nodded with a smile.

Other evolutionary paths naturally had their own anchor and that was the heaven.

But none of them possessed true control over their anchor’s behavior.

But the Summit of Nexus was different.

He was one of the many that had partial control over this realm and as a result, he could arrange its rules however he wished and no other path in the endless reality could do the same as him.

All of this simply because he was the owner of the Nexus Energy.

Grey then turned to face the assembled Daos, their presences still lingering in the space. ”Thank you for your assistance. Your resonance power was invaluable.”

”We gained as much as we gave, Perfect One,” the Dao of Space responded first. ”Witnessing the birth of a new transcendence method is a rare privilege.”

The Dao of Gravity’s voice rumbled through the dimension. ”Your path will change how evolvers view their options. Many will choose your method over ours.”

”Some will still prefer the traditional way,” Grey replied. ”The choice should be theirs.”

The Dao of Power remained silent for a moment before speaking. ”You have created something unprecedented. Use it wisely.”

Their presences began to fade, returning to wherever Daos existed when not being invoked, and Grey turned to the Heavenly Dao’s fragment with a grin spreading across his face.

”It’s time to make a breakthrough.”

The fragment’s form flickered with surprise. ”You’re ascending now?”

”The power of the Holy Corpse is still within me, it is enough to reach the 10th rank. There’s no point in waiting anymore. I’ve perfected the path, now I need to walk it myself.”

The Holy Corpse’s residual energy hummed within his Source.

Grey began the ascension without hesitation.

His perfection scale read 100%.

As the creator of the path, as the only Nexus Saint in existence, his connection to the Summit of Nexus was absolute.

The amplification he would receive would be beyond anything his test clones had achieved, but he wasn’t going to stop there.

The Divine Law of Thunder pulsed within his Divine Rune, its power at Major Succession. That was equivalent to entry-level Dao comprehension, enough to form a resonance, and Grey reached out through dimensions to find his target.

Somewhere in the void between realities, he sensed it, a fragment of the God World itself. Divine Laws existed there in their purest form, and among them, the Divine Law of Thunder recognized his call.

A connection formed instantly, and Grey initiated the breakthrough.

His Source exploded with transformation.

The Summit of Nexus responded immediately, purple light flooding his existence with the power of perfection. His dimensionality shifted, his very being expanding beyond the confines of normal reality as power surged through him like a tidal wave.

9th Rank First Level.

The ascension continued without pause.

Unlike other evolvers, Grey had no other selves scattered across the myriad realms.

There was no ”Myriad Realms Return to One” for him, no merging of parallel existences.

He was singular, unique, the only Grey in all of creation, and despite this his power still continued climbing rapidly without obstruction.

9th Rank Third Level.

9th Rank Sixth Level.

9th Rank Ninth Level.

The breakthrough shattered through the ceiling of the 9th rank entirely and reached its limit.

Throughout the universe, everyone with a divine consciousness was able to sense his ascension.

From the weakest mortal to the mightiest cosmic entity, all of them sensed the impossible surge of power emanating from a single point in reality.

”His power already broke past the 10th rank!” The Heavenly Dao’s fragment said with some surprise.

It was inching the peak of 11h rank.

Grey’s existence had become something beyond universal law. He could feel reality itself bending around him with space and time becoming weak concepts when facing him.

But he wasn’t finished yet.
