Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 1927: Chapter 1921: Full of Doubts

An Hao’s gaze flickered, and she found the answer she wanted: ”You also think this isn’t like him, right? For such a long time, have you noticed anything different about Gan Tian compared to before?”

”Different... there are indeed some differences.” Lin Miao thought for a moment and said.

”Where? Tell me everything you know.” An Hao asked eagerly.

”What?” Lin Miao was stunned for a moment, unable to grasp An Hao’s intent.

”I suspect Gan Tian is not the same Gan Tian from before.” An Hao said directly, without hiding.

”I don’t understand what you mean.”

”It’s okay if you don’t understand, but you must keep this matter confidential.” At this point, An Hao didn’t care much about anything else; as long as she could get some useful information from Lin Miao, she could piece everything together to get the result she wanted.

”Alright! Sister-in-law, I promise you. To talk about Gan Tian being truly different from before...”

Li Miao briefly recalled the abnormalities he noticed over these days, and then explained them to An Hao.

”Recently, my relationship with Gan Tian has also been the best; otherwise, there would be no secrets. But, a while ago, I found she seemed like she had amnesia; she can’t remember some of our shared past.

More intriguingly, when we bathed together, several spots on her body had different scars of various sizes. Getting some injuries while being in the military is normal, but her body isn’t right. These weren’t there before.”

”Wait.” An Hao felt she seemed to catch the key point, ”How are they different?”

”Those scars weren’t there before. They look like knife wounds, deep and shallow...” After saying this, Lin Miao added, ”But now she usually avoids bathing with me. Though she hasn’t said it, I feel she’s doing it deliberately.”

”Then haven’t you felt Gan Tian isn’t her old self?”

”The appearance is the same, the behavior and actions are the same. She remembers most things between us, just her memory is vague about some little matters.” Lin Miao said, ”So, I don’t think it’s another person. Oh, by the way, I feel like Gan Tian might have some mental issues...”

Then, Lin Miao recounted the incident on the street when Gan Tian looked at her as if she were a stranger and threw away the sugar-coated fruits she had bought, also telling this to An Hao.

This wasn’t Lin Miao betraying Gan Tian, but the strange feeling he had about these things left him puzzled, and he didn’t know who to talk to.

Now it seemed there was someone in front of him who could help answer his questions, and this person was the captain’s wife, so he shared these thoughts with An Hao.

She just wanted to know why Gan Tian was somewhat different from before.

The answer was already obvious.

Gan Tian has definitely been switched, she’s no longer the Gan Tian from before. And this person is very likely Gan Tian’s twin sister! But as for why the villagers and Gan Tian’s parents won’t acknowledge her, An Hao wasn’t sure.”

Thinking about this, An Hao already understood the woman with the mask she had previously had an encounter with, who was observing through binoculars.

She was observing Gan Tian’s behavior and actions to blend into this environment.

Though she imitated quite convincingly, a fake can never become the real thing.

She impersonated Gan Tian to replace her in the military, but what was her purpose?
