At this moment, the gears in Yu Zi Yu’s mind churned as he devised a plan.

“Nine Tails…” Shortly afterward, a voice suddenly echoed within the Realm of Fire.

In an instant…

*Yip…* With a long Fox cry, a Fox enveloped in crimson flames appeared within the Realm of Life, right in front of a portion of Yu Zi Yu’s main body rooted there.

“Master, what’s the matter?” Nine Tails asked, a bit confused.

Her Master was usually quiet and spent most of time cultivating. Even when he woke up, it was merely to take a look around—he almost never called her like this.

“I have something I need you to do,” Yu Zi Yu stated with a smile, before continuing, “Pass down my order: have our people search for high-quality trees for me… any kind of Spirit Tree will do. And if they find Divine Trees, even better…”

“Uh… Divine Trees?” Nine Tails’ corner of eyes could not help but twitch as she helplessly muttered, “Master, do you really think that’s possible. There aren’t even a handful of Divine Trees in the entire Demon Court. Only the Second-Generation Jianmu that supports our Nine Realms and the Guardian—Osmanthus can be classified as Divine Trees…”

“Wait, wait…” Hearing Nine Tails’ words, Yu Zi Yu was momentarily stunned.

After a moment, he seemed to have been struck with an idea, and a look of excitement appeared on Yu Zi Yu’s face.

[I’m so stupid! When it comes to Divine Trees, what could be more suitable than the Second-Generation Jianmu? The Second-Generation Jianmu, personally imbued with life by the original Jianmu, lack sentience due to an intervention. But, this does not mean they are weak. Like Heavenly pillars, they support the Nine Realms. Furthermore, they each possess their own space, stabilizing it.

In terms of Hierarchy of Life, most of them are already at Tier-4 without sentience, with a few even having the potential to reach Tier-5!

Would they not make the perfect vessels for the Treant Race? If I can awaken them…]

As this thought crossed his mind, Yu Zi Yu grew even more excited. But then, as another realization struck him, his excitement quickly faded.

[Wait—if I awakened them and turned them Treants, and then they died in battle, would the Nine Realms not get affected!?]

“Errrr….” Yu Zi Yu found himself speechless, his mind in a complete turmoil. [All that excitement for nothing! Argh!]

Shaking his head in resignation, Yu Zi Yu decided to shelve this idea for now.

[No need to rush. There might be another way, perhaps by separating the Second-Generation Jianmu’s abilities, allowing their main bodies to detach from the Nine Realms and thus become Treants…

If I can achieve this somehow, I’ve a strong feeling that the Treant Race would undergo a massive transformation.

Nine Treants with a potential to reach Tier-5! That’s no small matter! Even the current Demon Court has only a handful of Tier-5 True Gods!]

…

*Hooooo…* Yu Zi Yu exhaled deeply, trying to calm his racing heart. He knew he needed to give serious thought to the matter of the Second-Generation Jianmu. But for now, he decided to focus on the most pressing issue at hand: having Nine Tails begin the search for high-quality Spirit Trees.

Yu Zi Yu was planning to build an army of a million Treants. Currently, there were only a few dozen—far from the numbers he had in mind.

The sooner these arrangements were made, the sooner his Treant army could take shape.

With this in mind, Yu Zi Yu turned his attention back to Nine Tails and issued his next set of instructions, “Nine Tails, you can add the search for Spirit Trees to the contribution exchange system… Each Spirit Tree will count as a small merit, and if someone finds a Divine Tree, it will count as three major merits.”

Though he knew Divine Trees were rare, Yu Zi Yu still clung to a sliver of hope. Who knew? Maybe someone with great fortune would stumble upon one.

Just imagining the idea of transforming a Divine Tree into a Treant made Yu Zi Yu’s face fill with anticipation.

Of course, he had also considered the idea of asking Osmanthus.

However, he also knew that given Osmanthus’ personality, she would most probably not be too willing to turn into an ugly Treants. After all, Osmanthus was a true ‘cold beauty.’ She even pruned her branches as delicately as a woman combing her hair. Furthermore, she did it quite often that Yi Zu Yi had even taken note of it.

She would definitely abhor the idea of turning into one of those ugly Treants, with branches for arms, roots for legs, and an ancient, weathered face etched into the trunk.

[Yeah… she will definitely not agree to it…]

…

The Demon Court was now functioning with remarkable efficiency.

At least, it exceeded Yu Zi Yu’s expectations.

In just three days, the task of ‘searching for Spirit Trees’ had become a top priority across the Nine Realms of the Demon Court.

One Spirit Tree after another was being sent to Yu Zi Yu’s Realm of Life.

Some of these trees even surprised Yu Zi Yu.

For instance, the Fire Spirit Tree, which grew deep within volcanoes and thrived on fire, or the Ice Soul Tree, which absorbed the power of ice to continuously grow.

Once awakened, these two Spirit Trees transformed into formidable Treants.

And they were not just ordinary ones—they were practically mages.

One Treant had flames swirling around it, capable of hurling massive fireballs, each several meters in diameter, across distances of thousands of meters.

The other radiated an intense cold, able to summon countless ice swords to rain down upon its enemies.

Although they were only at Tier-2, Yu Zi Yu could tell that they had huge potential. After all, in just three days, they had advanced from the early to the Mid Stage of Tier-2.

That was quite remarkable feat.

Although this rapid progress was partly due to the effects of Yu Zi Yu’s Life Essence, it still demonstrated their extraordinary talent.

As a matter of fact, Yu Zi Yu’sLife Essence served as a catalyst for these Treants.

Any Spirit Tree that had not reached maturity, Yu Zi Yu nourished them with a few drops of this liquid.

Just one or two drops were equivalent to decades of natural growth.

If it were not for his concern about their bodies being unable to handle it, Yu Zi Yu would have poured dozens of drops at once.

Unfortunately, one Spirit Tree had nearly exploded from absorbing too much Life Essence, and this incident made Yu Zi Yu more cautious.

Moderation was key.

…

However, what Yu Zi Yu did not know was that deep within the Realm of Darkness…

“You said Master is searching for Spirit Trees?” Suddenly, a voice echoed through the air.

Following the sound, one could see a girl dressed in blood-red clothing, sitting cross-legged within a sea of blood.

“Yes, Great One…” Nodding repeatedly, a Man-Faced Spider beside her responded nervously.

Everything else could be discussed, but there was one thing that should never be mentioned in front of this Queen, the ‘Divine Tree.’

The reason was simple—whenever the term ‘Divine Tree’ was brought up, Thorns’ mood would shift unpredictably, and it was her subordinates who would suffer the consequences.
