“Master, this is my true form now… Is it not hideous?” the Snake Queen asked softly, her voice barely above a whisper, as an inexplicable unease flickered across her face.

In this form, she truly resembled a monster.

Whenever she sat alone by the lakeside at night, gazing at her reflection in the water, she felt fear.

Terror, and even more so, anxiety.

[How could a form be so ugly? Perhaps, as the legend said, ‘The Medusa Clan was originally a race of monsters.’]

But just then…

*Whoosh…* Like a gentle breeze, Snake Queen suddenly felt a cool sensation wash over her body.

Looking up, she noticed a branch, glowing faintly with green light, gently brushing her snake-like hair.

“It’s just appearance; there’s no such thing as ugly or beautiful… For beings like us, what’s far more important is power.” As he spoke, Yu Zi Yu’s branch unfurled, revealing a few crystalline droplets shaped like tears.

“What is this?”

“These are the Mermaid Tears, a sacred item. I’m not sure if they can suppress your curse.” With that, Yu Zi Yu handed the few droplets of Mermaid Tears to Snake Queen.

However, before she could even express her gratitude, Yu Zi Yu continued, “For now, focus on honing your strength. Only with strength will you have status and a voice of your own. When that time comes, with a single command, the entire Demon Court will aid you. One person’s strength is ultimately limited. Breaking the curse on your own is incredibly difficult. But if you rely on the strength of the entire Demon Court, no matter how formidable the curse may be… I believe, while the curse of Medusa’s bloodline is indeed terrifying, it shouldn’t pose too much of a challenge for the rapidly rising Demon Court.”

As she listened quietly, Snake Queen trembled slightly, and a shimmer appeared in her deep, profound eyes.

[Yes… If I were strong enough and held influence in the Demon Court… Wouldn’t the entire Demon Court become my ally? As for Medusa’s curse… Many of my brilliant Clan members have tried and failed to break it. How could I possibly do it alone? But if I follow Master’s words and rely on the flourishing Demon Court, there is at least a glimmer of hope for a solution.]

…

At this moment, as he watched Snake Queen’s face slowly brighten with a smile, the corners of Yu Zi Yu’s mouth lifted slightly as well.

[This girl has been too fixated. No, to be more accurate, she had developed a Heart Demon, preventing her from advancing in strength.]

While Yu Zi Yu’s words had not completely dispelled her Heart Demon, they had at least shown her a clear path forward.

And this was the most mysterious thing about Heart Demons.

Those who manage to overcome their Heart Demons on their own were either enlightened beings or possess terrifyingly unyielding wills. Most, however, need a few words of guidance from others to have a chance of overcoming them.

On another note, this also showed just how significant Yu Zi Yu’s influence was on Snake Queen’s heart. Otherwise, a few simple words would not have had such an effect.

Pleased with the thought, Yu Zi Yu smiled slightly, satisfied.

Apparently, while Snake Queen was solitary by nature, she remained extremely loyal to him.

“In that case…” As if something had crossed his mind, Yu Zi Yu suddenly suggested,

“Snake Queen, how would you like to stay by my side from now on?”

“Stay by your side?” Startled, Snake Queen’s face showed a hint of surprise.

“Yes, stay with me…” Nodding slightly, Yu Zi Yu pondered.

[My Azure Dragon Form, the Heavens of the Nine Realms, is a Primordial Sacred Spirit which possesses the power to ward off evil and purify curses. If she really wishes to break the curse of Medusa Bloodline, she might ultimately need to rely on the Azure Dragon. Of course, this is only speculation, there is no guarantee that it will remove the curse. Still, a method needs to be tested to know whether it works or not.]

[Once she had stayed by the Azure Dragon’s side for some time, we can observe whether her Bloodline Curse shows signs of alleviating. If everything else fails, I can ask Nine Tails to temporarily seal her ‘Medusa Bloodline.’ Even if the Medusa curse can’t be lifted, there are plenty of ways to suppress or at least slow down the effects of the curse.]

[Sadly, as a solitary creature, it is likely that Snake Queen isn’t even aware of the power possessed by others like Nine Tails. So, how could she have known that Nine Tails might be able to suppress her Bloodline Curse?]

With a helpless smile, Yu Zi Yu gazed pityingly at the figure who still had not fully grasped her situation.

…

Not long after, as Snake Queen remained confused, one of Yu Zi Yu’s branches slowly extended toward the sky.

*Crack…* The sky shattered with a deafening thunder as white bolts of lightning suddenly crisscrossed through the sky.

In an instant, dark and thick clouds suddenly rolled it, blanketing the sky.

Adding more to the dread, a sudden fearsome pressure bore down upon the earth.

In the depths of the clouds, Snake Queen vaguely saw the silhouette of an Azure Dragon sliding through.

*Roooooooaar…* A majestic Dragon Roar shook the very world and with it, a massive Dragon Head, adorned with whiskers, slowly emerged from the dark clouds.

“Come, Snake Queen…” A dignified voice suddenly resounded across the Realm of Life, sending a shiver through Snake Queen.

But before she could react, an invisible force had already enveloped her body.

In the blink of an eye, she had transformed into a ball of light, shooting straight into the depths of the dark clouds.

Though the Azure Dragon had merged with the Nine Realms, it still retained its physical form. It resided in the deepest part of the Nine Realms, a mysterious space known as the ‘Realm of Origins.’

This was the central core of the Nine Realms. There, the Azure Dragon could not only better harmonize with the Nine Realms but also easily monitor its movements.

Now, being led by the Azure Dragon to that mysterious place marked an extraordinary fortune for Snake Queen. As a matter of fact, the current strength of the Azure Dragon was fearsomely terrifying.

At the very least, even with the combined strength of Yu Zi Yu’s True Body and the Soaring Purple Flood Dragon’s titanic form, they would hesitate to claim victory against it.

Anchored to the Nine Realms, the Azure Dragon grew stronger as the Nine Realms did.

Unless the Nine Realms were to shatter, the Azure Dragon could not be truly defeated—at worst, it would only be forced into slumber.

Therefore, with the Azure Dragon guarding it, the Nine Realms had become the safest place for the Demon Court.
