“Now then, I have quite a few abilities and Evolution Points to upgrade…” muttering to himself, Yu Zi Yu glanced at his current status screen.

Aside from his Innate Talent—Everlasting Life, all his other Innate Talents were only at Level 4.

Most of his abilities were at Level 4 or Level 5…

At this level, such Innate Talents and Unique Abilities were decent enough for Tier-4 or Tier-5 Transcendents.

However, for someone like Yu Zi Yu, they were utterly inadequate.

The power of some abilities was not even as terrifying as a single strike from one of Yu Zi Yu’s branches.

So, upgrading these abilities and Innate Talents was inevitable.

After examining many of his abilities and Innate Talents, Yu Zi Yu’s attention finally focused on the Seed of Vitality.

Seeds of Life (Level 4) —You can now use your Spiritual Energy to nurture seeds. It utilizes one’s Spiritual Energy as the source of life to give birth to seeds. These seeds can grow into trees at such astonishing speed that a vast, ancient forest can be created within moments.
This was an Innate Talent of Creation, capable of spawning a forest that could be controlled at will.

With Yu Zi Yu’s current accumulation of Spiritual Energy, if he wished, he could cause a vast forest to sprout up across all of Earth in an instant.

The roots would crack the ground apart.

The branches would pierce through the sky.

Countless trees would try their best to spread as far as possible. Their terrifying degree could even tear Earth itself apart.

And all of this was because Earth could no longer bear the sheer magnitude of the forest Yu Zi Yu could create.

However, this was not enough.

Now, Yu Zi Yu’s battlefield was outer space, whereas the trees spawned from this ability were all rooted in the ground.

Without any ground present, this Innate Talent would become completely useless.

Thus, a mere Level 4 Seed of Vitality was indeed obsolete.

“I should enhance it first. After all, my Innate Talent—Everlasting Life is somewhat linked to it. If they can complement each other, that would be nice…”

With a light chuckle in his heart, Yu Zi Yu did not hesitate and immediately stated his desire, [“System, I need to strengthen my Innate Talent—Seed of Vitality.]

“Uh…” Yu Zi Yu was momentarily at a loss for words, the corners of his eyes twitching slightly in bewilderment.

One billion, that was quite a huge cost.

Furthermore, that was just to upgrade Seed of Vitality to Level 5. After that, Level 6 was still waiting for him.

In addition, he had three such Innate Talents.

“Alright, I really should have stuck with my original idea of specializing in one Innate Talent…” With a helpless smile, Yu Zi Yu did not hesitate and agreed straightaway, “Yes.”

And the moment he gave his affirmation…

*Booooooom…* With a thunderous rumble, his entire body fiercely shook as an immense energy surged from within him.

As for why Yu Zi Yu was not focusing on just one Innate Talent as he had decided previously, it was because these billions of Evolution Points were essentially a windfall.

The sudden invasion of the Zergs had brought him a tremendous surprise.

In fact, slaughtering billions of living beings was something Yu Zi Yu would not dare to do even in the future.

However, the Zergs had no Souls, as everything was controlled by the Hive Mind. As such, exterminating billions of them would not result in much karmic burden.

If it had been on a planet like Earth or Elysia, truly killing billions of sentient living beings would have left him with an endless sea of lingering Souls, driving him to madness and turning him into a true demon.

So… the Zergs’s intrusion was indeed a massive opportunity for Yu Zi Yu.

It had given him the chance to strengthen all his Innate Talents and abilities simultaneously.

…

*Haaaa…* Suppressing his excitement, Yu Zi Yu could already feel a mysterious vitality flowing through his body.

The vitality within him continued to gather, truly taking the shape of a seed.

However, it was still far from enough.

[System, use more Evolution Points to continue the upgrade.]

“Yes…” Yu Zi Yu promptly agreed with a nod.

He did not mind how quickly the Evolution Points seemed to drain away like water.

Since these Evolution Points were essentially free, Yu Zi Yu naturally did not feel any pain in using them.

More importantly, by upgrading this Innate Talent— Seed of Vitality, Yu Zi Yu once again felt himself growing noticeably stronger.

At his current level, seeing improvements visible to the naked eye was nearly impossible.

In fact, it was even possible for him to remain stagnant for a long time, without centuries or even millennia of accumulation.

However, now, he was growing stronger at a pace visible to the naked eye.

What did that mean? It did not need further explanation.

Visible to the naked eyes, ripples continuously spread across the space around Yu Zi Yu.

These ripples resembled the ripples on the surface of a calm lake. However, if one took a closer look, they would notice a hint of green surging within these ripples

That was vitality.

It was also the endless energy of his Level 6 Innate Talent—Seed of Vitality.

Innate Talent: Seed of Vitality (Level 6) — Rooted in space, you draw upon limitless vitality, effortlessly summoning vast forests in the barren expanse of the stars.
This was Yu Zi Yu’s newly upgraded Seed of Vitality.

It no longer needed the ground as a foundation and could directly summon a forest within the vacuum of space.

These trees were rooted in the space itself. Moreover, they would continuously absorb the energy flowing in space and grow.

However, this was not the most terrifying aspect.

The scariest part was that the trees Yu Zi Yu summoned were no longer ordinary trees.

He could summon various Spirit Trees and even Divine Trees.

Of course, this required Yu Zi Yu to possess their seeds.

For this, Yu Zi Yu could ask Sweet Osmanthus to provide him with some seeds, thereby further enhancing the power of his Seed of Vitality.

Simply put, the more Spirit Trees and Divine Trees Yu Zi Yu obtained, the stronger his Seed of Vitality would become.

This was a fearsome Innate Talent with infinite potential.

If Yu Zi Yu could find countless Spirit Trees, and even locate the ten famous Divine trees from the previous era, he believed that with this Innate Talent alone, he could challenge Hegemons while still at Tier-6.
