“Protected by an Imperial Artifact, and the Lord of the Demon Court, huh…” Yu Zi Yu could not help but be momentarily stunned, a slight smile tugging at the corner of his lips.

It was indeed accurate.

The current Demon Court could genuinely be considered to have the protection of an Imperial Artifact.

Though the Eastern Emperor Bell had stated it would protect his Dao once, Yu Zi Yu believed that if the Demon Court were to face an insurmountable crisis, the bell would still intervene.

However, after such an intervention, the Eastern Emperor Bell would likely depart for good.

After all, beings of its nature were not meant to appear in the world. To act even once would be its limit.

Moreover, as it had mentioned, what it truly hoped for was to intervene when Yu Zi Yu would be getting enlightened to the Eternal Realm, to protect his Dao at that crucial moment.

If it were to act at that time, and Yu Zi Yu succeeded in his enlightenment, the bond between them would be formed.

In the exchange between equals, Yu Zi Yu might even be able to invite the Eastern Emperor Bell to stand guard over the Demon Court.

However, all of this hinged on one thing, Yu Zi Yu reaching the Eternal Realm.

Only those who reached the Eternal Realm could wield an Imperial Artifact.

Otherwise, even if the Eastern Emperor Bell willingly submitted to him now, Yu Zi Yu would still be unable to wield its power.

In fact, just one toll of the bell could drain all of Yu Zi Yu’s Spiritual Energy and lead to his death.

That was the terrifying nature of an Imperial Artifact.

More importantly, the Eastern Emperor Bell was no ordinary Imperial Artifact.

Recalling the information panel in his mind, Yu Zi Yu’s eyes narrowed slightly.

Imperial Artifact: Eastern Emperor Bell
Origin: The oldest Primordial Imperial Artifact, possessing the godly might of the Eternal Realm from the moment of its birth. It holds the power to suppress the Nine Heavens, to twist the Space-Time of All Heavens, to alter the mysteries of the Heavenly Dao, and to refine the elements of Earth, Water, Fire, and Wind.

Appearance: The bell’s exterior is adorned with the Sun, Moon, Stars, and encircled by Earth, Water, Fire, and Wind. Inside the bell, mountains and rivers are faintly visible, along with all the races of the Heavens. Its five-colored divine light illuminates the Heavens, and its divine might of chaos shakes the universe.

Abilities: Infinite mysteries and boundless creation. It can imprison time and suppress space, reflect the attack of any artifact and damage from all Divine Abilities. Possessing both offensive and defensive capabilities, anyone under his protection would stand invincible.

Its toll is so loud that it resounds greatly across the cosmos, dimming Heaven and Earth, shaking the entire universe.

As he recalled the Eastern Emperor Bell’s status screen, Yu Zi Yu’s corners of lips could not help but twitch.

It proved to be a legendary Imperial Artifact in name and power. Its abilities were truly terrifying to the extreme. If others were to see this, they’d probably be dumbfounded.

Imprisoning time, suppressing space, and even reflecting any artifact’s attack or damage from a Divine Ability.

Just reading about it made one’s scalp tingle, let alone facing it in battle.

In a real fight, even the artifacts of the same level—Eternal Imperial Artifacts would be rendered useless mostly.

After all, even an Eternal Imperial Artifact like the Seven Jewel Tree renowned for being able to sweep through everything had already made countless beings dread.

However, now, the Eastern Emperor Bell was at least ten, if not a hundred, times more powerful than the Seven Jewel Tree.

While the Seven Jewel Tree needed to ‘sweep’ to sweep everything away, the Eastern Emperor Bell only needed to hover above one’s head to erase the power of all treasures.

It was no surprise that, even after disappearing for dozens of eras, the Eastern Emperor Bell still had a fearsome reputation.

Any Eternal who wielded the Eastern Emperor Bell would likely be invincible.

Unfortunately, since ancient times, the Eastern Emperor Bell had only ever acknowledged one Master.

*Haaaaaa…* Feeling helpless, Yu Zi Yu couldn’t help but heave a sigh.

Perhaps no one would ever see the Eastern Emperor Bell in its full glory.

As for that legendary Eastern Emperor (Dong Huang), though fearsome, in the end, Eastern Emperor was never able to reach the Eternal Realm.

It was truly a pity.

The reason Yu Zi Yu knew the Eastern Emperor was not an Eternal was that he had heard it from Golden Monkey.

The Primordial Era was the oldest era, and the first to witness the emergence of an Eternal.

The very first Eternal in existence was the terrifying being who initiated the War for Heaven, ultimately succeeding in seizing Heaven and stepping into the Heaven-Seizing Realm.

This terrifying individual even artificially created Eternals, creating the so-called Seven Sages, the first generation of Pseudo-Eternals.

They had the power of the Eternal Realm but lacked the true foundation of Eternals.

Thus, they were known as Pseudo-Eternals.

With the assistance of the Seven Sages, this terrifying figure truly dominated all races in the Primordial Era, invincible in the world.

Therefore, it was certain that the Eastern Emperor had not stepped into Eternity.

“If the Eastern Emperor had reached the Eternal Realm, with the Eastern Emperor Bell, he could have fought on equal footing with them, rather than being crushed so one-sidedly,” with a smile, Yu Zi Yu speculated.

And all of this was because the Eastern Emperor Bell was simply too terrifying.

If the Eastern Emperor had indeed attained Eternity, relying on the Eastern Emperor Bell, even facing the Seven Sages… was it even a battle?

“Ah…” Taking a deep breath to suppress his agitation, Yu Zi Yu raised his gaze toward the hoard of Mutant Beasts before him.

After a moment…

“From this day forth, the Misty Mountains shall be known as the Demon Court, and I shall be its Lord! Under my command, there will be the Ten Great Divine Beasts, ruling over the Demon Court…”

…

One proclamation after another, Yu Zi Yu began to formally appoint his subordinates.

“Yes, Master, we will uphold the name of the Demon Court without fail.” With a unified response, the Ten Great Divine Beasts, led by Nine Tails and Bull Demon, bowed in submission.

At this moment, Yu Zi Yu’s gaze turned toward Golden Monkey.

Sensing Yu Zi Yu’s attention, Golden Monkey’s expression grew serious.

“En…” Nodding slightly, after a brief contemplation, Yu Zi Yu finally spoke, “At the same time, I appoint Golden Monkey as the Demon Master of the Demon Court, tasked with enlightening the Mutant Beasts… You shall be known as the Demon Master.”

“Demon… Master…” Golden Monkey’s eyes narrowed slightly, a swirl of stars flickering deep within his gaze.

In that moment, memories stirred within him of a stern old man with a hooked nose.

Demon Master Kun Peng, one of the most ancient Supreme Overlords of the Demon Beast Clan, second only to the Demon Emperor himself.

However, that was not the most important part.

What truly mattered was that this Supreme Overlord was the one responsible for ensuring Golden Monkey reincarnated continuously, cycling through many eras.

*Crack…* With his bones creaking loudly, Golden Monkey knelt down and declared firmly, “I shall not disgrace the title of Demon Master, and will educate the Mutant Beasts.”

“Good, I trust you.” Yu Zi Yu nodded in response. He held high expectations for Golden Monkey.

Only Golden Monkey could truly enlighten the many Mutant Beasts. And only Golden Monkey could help these beasts with shallow foundations surpass the deeply rooted Forces, for he was Golden Monkey, a mysterious being with the legacy of countless eras.

In a way, he could be described as a living and breathing tome of inheritances.

If he fully committed himself, then even if the Mutant Beasts had weak foundations or poor Innate Talent, Yu Zi Yu believed Golden Monkey could raise their strength.

Thinking of this, Yu Zi Yu cast a deep glance at Golden Monkey and added, “In the future, the position of Demon Master will be second only to mine, beneath one and above all others. Even the Ten Great Divine Beasts must treat you with utmost respect.”

“Yes, Master.” with a chorus of voices, Nine Tails, White Tiger, and others turned their gaze towards Golden Monkey with newfound respect.

Others, they might not acknowledge. But Golden Monkey was worthy of their recognition.

For in these few short years, countless Mutant Beasts had benefited from Golden Monkey’s wisdom, even the Ten Great Divine Beasts.
