Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 1692: Shang Zhanluo Wake up

”Shang Xueli?” Sha Qingge was stunned when she saw the Asura Demon Princess.

”Eh?” Hearing that, Shang Xueli looked at Sha Qingge. She hurriedly stopped her training, approached the Heavenly Fiend Demon Princess, and hugged her. ”Eh? Long time no see, Qingge! Did Zhang Fei bring you here?”

”Ling time no see, Xueli.” Sha Qingge hugged her back for a moment. ”You’re right; Zhang Fei sent me her to train. Since when have you been here?”

”It’s a long story! Let’s talk somewhere else.” Sha Qingge gaped as Shang Xueli led her into the pavilion. ”This residence belongs to Zhang Fei, and he usually dual cultivates with all his wives here.”

”Huh? How many wives does Zhang Fei actually have?” Sha Qingge asked as she looked at the surroundings.

”A little over a hundred, maybe.” Sha Qingge remembered that Zhang Fei told her that he did have many women. ”Does this mean you have a serious relationship with him?”

Sha Qingge shook her head. ”I met Zhang Fei in the Tower of Eternity a few months ago, but our relationship is still as shallow as a small river. He said that he liked me, and I already had feelings for him, so I agreed when he offered me to train here.”

”You’re lucky.” Shang Xueli led her to sit on a park bench. ”He saved me about six years ago, and he brought me here afterward. Since then, I’ve lived and trained here for over two decades.”

”Over two decades?” Sha Qingge was shocked until her eyes widened.

”The flow of time in this place is much faster than in the outside world, so you don’t need to be surprised by that.” Shang Xueli told Sha Qingge some things about the training ground and all the features there.

Sha Qingge was shocked by that because Zhang Fei had not explained anything about the training space, and he asked Shang Xueli to explain everything to her. ”What do you mean by I’m lucky?”

”Sigh,” Shang Xueli sighed. ”At first, I had no feelings for Zhang Fei, and I was just grateful that he brought me out of hell. But—”

”You fell in love with him after you lived here for so long, right?”

”Yes,” Shang Xueli nodded. ”Unfortunately, he didn’t have the same feelings for me, and he always pushed me aside.”

”Why? Is it because you were married to Mo Zixiao before?” Sha Qingge was confused by that because Shang Xueli was a beautiful princess.

”No,” Shang Xueli replied with a light shake of the head. ”Most of his wives are other people’s ex-wives, Qingge. I don’t know why he never approached me or reciprocated my feelings, but I think it’s because of my father.”

”Huh? Uncle Zhanluo?”

”Zhang Fei told me that he would fight my father one day, and their fight might end in a life-and-death situation.”

Sha Qingge didn’t know what to say about the matter. ”He might kill your father in their fight, and you probably wouldn’t be able to accept that, so he’s unwilling to accept you.”

”Yes.” Shang Xueli’s expression was filled with sorrow. ”I’ve lived here for over two decades, so I’m quite familiar with Zhang Fei’s abilities. My father is indeed strong, but he’s not inferior to him, and he might be able to defeat him in their upcoming battle.”

Sha Qingge embraced her. ”I can understand your feelings, Xueli. Previously, I was also afraid that he would fight with my father and kill him, but my fears were unnecessary because they didn’t fight in the end, and Empress Huo used something on my father to help him.”

”I’ve met Empress Huo several times here, and their relationship is very close.”

”Empress Huo is his wife.” Shang Xueli looked at Sha Qingge in surprise. ”He didn’t tell me when they became husband and wife, but she became one of his wives.”

”I see.” Shang Xueli felt jealous of Sha Qingge. ”You—”

”Oh? I didn’t expect you two to be such close friends.” Shang Xueli and Sha Qingge looked at Zhang Fei [4], who was walking towards them. ”Qingge, you can start training at the training ground today, and Xueli will explain to you about the device for controlling the situation there.”

”Is this one of your clones?” Sha Qingge curiously asked.

”I have five clones, and four of them stay here to concoct pills.” Zhang Fei [4] looked at Shang Xueli. ”Are you disappointed because I don’t reciprocate your feelings?”

”I do.” Shang Xueli bit her lower lip and squeezed the hem of her top. ”You know I’ve been in love with you for a long time, but you never responded to my feelings.”

Zhang Fei [4] sighed. ”Among all the demon gods, your father is one of the most arrogant, and he probably won’t be willing to lose to me. If our future battle turns out to be that intense, I might have no choice but to kill him.”

”Don’t you have another way to defeat my father without killing him?” Shang Xueli looked up at him. ”I really like you, and I want to be with you, so I don’t want to see my father die in your hands.”

”Unfortunately, I don’t have a solution for that yet, Xueli.” Shang Xueli’s gaze was filled with mixed feelings. ”Honestly, I have liked you for a few years, but I am not sure if you can accept that I might kill your father in our future fight.”

”Do... do you really like me?” Shang Xue Li’s voice trembled.

”I do.”

Shang Xueli smiled. ”Thank you for being willing to answer my feelings.”

”No need.” Zhang Fei [4] walked back to the alchemy room. ”I’ll make a decision about our relationship after my battle with your father.”

Tears welled up in Shang Xue’s eyes. ”After more than two decades, I finally got an answer from him.”

”Are you happy?” Shang Xueli rubbed her eyes and nodded to Sha Qingge. ”For now, you just need to wait for the day of their fight, and I hope he won’t kill your father, so there are no more obstacles preventing you two from being together.”

”Thank you.”

”Let’s talk about our respective experiences for now.”

After they had shared many things about everything that had happened in their lives over the past few decades, the two princesses immediately returned to the training ground. Shang Xueli taught Sha Qingge how to use the features of the device in the center of the room, and the two began their practice there after that.

Meanwhile, Shang Luohu and Shang Zhui brought Zhang Fei [5] to the place where Shang Zhanluo was carrying out seclusion.

”Here,” Zhang Fei [5] handed the antidote to Shang Luohu. ”Wu Zu concocted this antidote three weeks ago, but I had something else to do at the time, so I only came here today.”

”Thank you.” Shang Luohu immediately approached her husband, opened the bottle cap, and poured it into her husband’s mouth. She forced him to swallow it, and she hoped he would recover soon.

”Hmm?” Shang Luohu jumped back as soon as thick black smoke emerged from Shang Zhanluo’s body. ”What happened? Why is his body emitting black smoke?”

”Let’s wait for now.” Shang Luohu nodded to Zhang Fei [5], her gaze completely focused on her husband.

After they waited a few minutes, they heard Shang Zhanluo groan softly, and the thick black smoke had already disappeared from their sight.

”The antidote worked,” Shang Zhui said happily.

”Yes,” Shang Luohu sighed in relief and looked at Zhang Fei [5]. ”Do you want to fight my husband directly?”

”Hehe,” Zhang Fei [5] chuckled. ”Your husband has been in this situation for a long time, and his body must have weakened significantly, so I won’t challenge him to a fight today. I will wait until his condition is fully recovered, and we will fight at that time. By the way, I don’t want to meet him, so I will leave now.”

Shortly after Zhang Fei [5] left, Shang Zhanluo opened his eyes and looked at them with a fuzzy gaze. He felt that his thoughts were all over the place, and some of his memories were unclear. ”What happened to me, Wife?”

”Sigh.” Shang Luohu was truly relieved that her husband had finally recovered. She approached Shang Zhanluo, sat by his side, and recounted some of the things that had happened since he entered seclusion. ”Husband, I know that you are angry with Sha Mo, but you can’t do anything for now.”

Shang Zhanluo’s face darkened. ”Do you think I will lose to Sha Mo?”

”No,” Shang Luohu denied with a shake of his head. ”I believe you can defeat Sha Mo, but the situation in this Paradise Realm has changed since several years ago, and I don’t know the exact location of the Heavenly Fiend Demon Domain.”

”Tell me everything.”

”I—”

”Demon God, I think you two can talk later, and you should go out and calm all the members of our demon race first.” Shang Zhanluo looked at Shang Zhui with narrowed eyes. ”You haven’t come out of seclusion for a long time, and our demon race members are restless because of that. Some of them are thinking of rebelling, but I’ve already calmed them down. Even so, their desire to rebel has not died down, and you are the only one who can stop it.”

Shang Zhanluo nodded in understanding and lifted his wife to her feet. ”I’ll go back to our room to get ready, and you have to tell me everything that’s happened over the past few years.”

”Alright.” Shang Luohu wanted to tell her husband about Shang Xueli’s situation, but she immediately decided against it and waited for the day of his fight with Zhang Fei [5].
