Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 1652: Defeat The Three Guardians

As in the past, Zhang Fei [5] stood face-to-face with Shang Xijiao because he was the weakest among the four asura guardians.

”Haha,” Shang Xijiao laughed. ”Your strength has indeed improved a lot, but I have also improved in the past six years or so. Back then, I lost to you, but I won’t lose to you again this time.”

Zhang Fei [5] smiled casually. ”I will make my move now.”

”Gah!” Shang Xijiao groaned in pain as he fell to his knees on one leg, feeling excruciating pain in his abdomen from Zhang Fei [5]’s punch.

Not only was Shang Xijiao shocked by that, but so were the other three asura guardians. They looked at Zhang Fei [5] with their brows furrowed. They couldn’t see him move, but their friend had suddenly fallen down.

Shang Luohu was particularly surprised by Zhang Fei [5]’s speed. However, she was more curious about the power of his punch, and she felt that the power of his punch just now was on par with her husband’s.

Shang Xueli smirked, looking at Shang Xijiao’s painful expression. ’Hey! He could even keep up with Demon God Mingran, Demon God Qingxiu, and Demon God Shizhe! You are definitely not their opponent with your cultivation below theirs.’

Qi Qingxiu’s lips curled up as she folded her arms across her chest, watching Shang Xijiao’s expression. ’Even a demon god like me would find it difficult to defeat my husband in a spar, let alone mere asura guardians like them.’

”How—”

”I trained hard,” Zhang Fei [5] replied briefly. ”Do you want to continue? I’m confident I’ll win against you as long as you don’t use your bloodline awakening technique.”

In fact, Zhang Fei [5] was confident that he could still defeat Shang Xijiao even if he used his bloodline awakening technique, but he would rather not show his full abilities to the four asura demon guardians, at least not until he could defeat Shang Zhanluo.

Shang Xijiao stared at him for a long moment before standing up. ”You’re right, I could never have defeated you without that technique. Since this is just a sparring match, I won’t use that technique, and I admit defeat.”

”Thank you.”

After Shang Xijiao walked to the side, Shang Nanzhui walked towards Zhang Fei [5], standing in front of him. ”Your progress, especially your speed, is truly impressive, Kid. I couldn’t even see you move, and you’ve already taken down your enemy.”

”Let’s fight.” Shang Nanzhui was knocked back several steps as soon as Zhang Fei [5] moved and punched his chest.

As before, Shang Nanzhui still couldn’t see Zhang Fei [5]’s movement, and he also felt that the force of his punch was much heavier than it had been a few years ago. As an experienced demon cultivator, he naturally knew that every breakthrough would also increase one’s physical strength, but this increase in his strength was simply too absurd.

Unfortunately, Shang Nanzhui was unaware that Zhang Fei [5] had learned several new body techniques since their last fight, some of which had already reached their maximum effectiveness, significantly increasing his strength compared to other cultivators.

At that time, Zhang Fei [5] had only adapted to level five gravity, but he had now adapted to level eight gravity, which significantly increased his speed.

Shang Nanzhui tried to attack Zhang Fei [5], but all his attacks hit nothing but empty air; instead, he was repeatedly hit by his counterattacks. No matter how fast he increased his speed, he never managed to land a hit on his body, which frustrated him.

After they sparred for a while, Shang Nanzhui decided to give up and admit defeat. ”You were amazing, kid. How did you increase your speed so much?”

”Naturally, I have my own training method, but I won’t teach it to outsiders, and I’ll only teach it to those closest to me.” Zhang Fei [5] casually replied.

Shang Nanzhui simply nodded and went to the side of the area, and Shang Beixuan replaced him. ”Back then, I was superior to you, but you’ve grown tremendously since then, and I have to admit that your progress is amazing. If so, I will fight with you more earnestly than in the past, and I hope you won’t disappoint me.”

”You won’t be disappointed.”

Zhang Fei [5] made the first move. His feet slammed into the ground, sending dust flying as he charged like a raging bull. His fist smashed forward—without any technique, just overwhelming force.

Shang Beixuan did not back down in the face of it, and he welcomed Zhang Fei [5]’s punch head-on.

*Boom*

A wave of wind swept across the area as their fists collided. Shang Beixuan was shocked as he was pushed back by Zhang Fei [5]’s punch just now, and he felt numbness in his hand. He twisted his right hand as he massaged his shoulders to relieve the numbness. ”You are truly a monster, kid! In just over six years, your attack power has increased several times higher than during our last fight. If my cultivation were at your level, and if I hadn’t trained my body, the bones of my hand would have been crushed by your fist.”

”Unfortunately, such progress is still not enough, and I still have to develop myself until I reach the same level as those demon gods.” Zhang Fei [5] took a stance before dashing toward him again. ”Try this.”

”Come!” Shang Beixuan once again met his punch with his right hand.

*Boom*

The clash between their fists was greater than before, and the wind sweeping through the area became even stronger. This time, both were knocked back, but they didn’t stop there and immediately charged at each other again, clashing their fists once more.

Zhang Fei [5] and Shang Beixuan exchanged blows for some time, and their clash continued to end in a draw. However, the situation changed when the former increased his speed, making his movements difficult for the latter to anticipate, as well as his punches.

Shang Beixuan tried to increase his strength and speed, but all his efforts were futile in the face of Zhang Fei [5]’s speed.

Shang Beixuan couldn’t see Zhang Fei [5]’s movements, and all his attacks always hit the afterimages of his Clone Illusion Steps.

At the side of the room, Shang Dongzhu folded his arms in front of him and frowned. His eyes tried to follow Zhang Fei [5]’s movements, but his speed was truly breakneck, preventing him from seeing his figure. ’This little demon! How did his speed become that fast? If I had his speed, I might be able to defeat Shang Zhanluo, and I could become the next demon god of our asura demon race. Tch! It would be dangerous if I gave him time to develop further, and he would become a threat to me in the future. I have to do something about him, and I have to make it look like an accident.’

Qi Qingxiu raised an eyebrow as she sensed Shang Dongzhu’s killing intent. She looked at him with narrowed eyes. ’Heh! If you think about killing my husband, I will teach you a lesson you will never forget for the rest of your life. Even so, I don’t need to worry about him, and I’m sure he can defeat you on his own.’

After they sparred for some time, Shang Beixuan decided to end their fight. He landed in front of Zhang Fei [5], who smiled casually. ”Six years ago, I was still superior to you, but six years later, I have to admit defeat to you. If you continue to improve this quickly, you might become the first lust demon who can match my demon god in normal strength.”

”Thank you for your time, Senior Beixuan.”

”We’ll fight again in a few years, and I won’t lose to you again then.”

”Fine with me.” Zhang Fei [5] glanced at Shang Dongzhu because he also felt his killing intent earlier. ’Since you want to kill me, I have to fight seriously.’

”Mother.” Shan Xueli hugged her mother’s arm. ”He—”

”Yes,” Shang Luohu nodded to her. ”You don’t need to worry about Zhang Fei because I’ve sensed Shang Dongzhu’s killing intent since earlier, and I’ve already asked Shang Zhui to make a move if she wants to kill him. Besides, Demon God Qingxiu is here, and she will definitely act to save her husband.”

Shang Xueli glanced at Qi Qingxiu, seeing a strange smile on her face. ’Sigh! I hope Shang Dongzhu won’t be that crazy, or he will die today. If he dies, our Asura Demon Race’s strength will decrease, and it will take a long time to find a replacement for him.’

Shang Dongzhu was already standing in front of Zhang Fei [5], and he didn’t bother to hide his killing intent. His gaze was so vicious that it seemed as if he wanted to swallow him alive.

Zhang Fei [5] was still relaxed in the face of Shang Dongzhu’s killing intent, and he released his own killing intent.

”Hmm?” Shang Dongzhu frowned as he remembered the incident a few years ago when Zhang Fei [5] showed his killing intent to them, but he didn’t expect it to have become so much stronger than it was then. ”Looks like you’ve killed a lot since that day, kid.”

”Kill or be killed is the law in the cultivation world, so I have no other choice but to kill my enemies.” Shang Dongzhu frowned deeply. ”Even though my cultivation is still far below yours, it won’t be easy for you to kill me; instead, you will be the one to die by my hands today.”

Shang Dongzhu smirked. ”Is that so? Let me try your current strength then.”
