Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 1659: Huo Ling’s True Master

*Swoosh*

Zhang Fei suddenly shot into the sky within the soul world. The flames enveloping his body grew even stronger. He could feel the flames entering his body and all his nerves. ”What happened, Huo Ling?”

Huo Ling didn’t answer Zhang Fei and stared at him with her fiery eyes. She kissed him with her flaming lips, injecting something into his body.

Zhang Fei’s body stiffened when Huo Ling did this, and he felt something flowing into his body, but he and Mei didn’t know what it was.

[Ding]

[The Eternal Flame, aka the Primordial Flame, initiates a bond with the Host.]

Zhang Fei was shocked to read that, not expecting that Huo Ling would do that. Moreover, she already had a special bond with Feng Yao, but she did it with him too.

Feng Yao covered herself with clothes as soon as Long Xukong, Beiming Youhuang, Jia Xianzu, Tian Taiyang, and Yin Yue appeared not far from Zhang Fei. She immediately flew to their side and looked at the flames that continued to grow, making the entire area within the soul world scorching hot.

”What happened to that kid, Empress Huo?” Long Xukong asked with a solemn expression.

”The Eternal Flame, aka the Primordial Flame, found its true master.”

Those people looked at Feng Yao in disbelief. ”So, the Eternal Flame is really the Primordial Flame?”

”Yes.” Feng Yao nodded. ”The Eternal Flame is a name given by the ancients, but it is actually the Primordial Flame. The ancients knew nothing about the Primordial Era, so they didn’t know about the Primordial Flame.”

”How did you know that, Empress Huo?” Beiming Youhuang curiously asked.

”This.” Long Xukong, Beiming Youhuang, Jia Xianzu, Tian Taiyang, and Yin Yue were shocked when several female figures appeared around them.

Long Xukong, Beiming Youhuang, and Jia Xianzu only recognized Huo Yanling’s figure, but they couldn’t recognize the other figures.

Meanwhile, Tian Taiyang and Yin Yue could not recognize the other figures, and they both could only recognize the figure of Guang Zhiyi, who was a great woman from the ancient era.

Jia Xianzu took a deep breath. ”Are they all your reincarnations, Empress Huo?”

”Yes.” Feng Yao pointed at Shen Yuanzhi’s figure. ”She was my first figure when I manifested myself, and I used the name Shen Yuanzhi at that time. At that time, this universe was different from the present one, and we called it the Primordial Era.”

”Pri-Primordial Realm?” They screamed.

Feng Yao waved her hand and created a qi screen, which showed them the Primordial Realm and the Primordial Era. ”The Primordial Era was the first to exist in this universe, and the people who lived in that era were called the Primordials. Each of them had the power to destroy this universe.”

They sucked a deep breath after hearing that, as they were horrified at the thought of the power of the Primordials. ”Are there still living primordials, Guang Zhiyi?”

”Some of them are still alive, but they have long since entered a deep slumber. Before they entered deep sleep, they deliberately sealed their power because this universe could no longer withstand them. However, some of them are still roaming around to this day, but they only use their avatars.”

”The Primordial Nihility Beast and the Primordial Genesis Beast.”

”That’s right.” Feng Yao nodded. ”One of the primordial beasts is the master of the four perils.”

Long Xukong raised an eyebrow. ”So, the Primordial Nihility Beast is their master? Why did that beast choose them?”

”Because the Primordial Nihility Beast is the embodiment of Yin and evil, and the beast that was born after it was the Calamity Demon Dragon.” Feng Yao waved her hand, making them hold their breaths as the images of the two primordial beasts appeared on the qi screen. ”The white beast is the Primordial Genesis Beast, the embodiment of Yang and good, and the beast that was born after it was the Five-Clawed Golden Dragon.”

”Is it true that the two primordial beasts intentionally killed the Calamity Demon Dragon and the Five-Clawed Golden Dragon?”

Feng Yao sighed. ”Even though the two primordial beasts were powerful, they were also insecure. They feared that the two dragons would become as powerful as them, so they killed them before they became too powerful and threatened their existence, and they also killed their reincarnation.”

”Don’t tell me that the two primordial beasts killed the other primordials.”

”You’re right, but you’re also wrong, Jia Xianzu.”

”What do you mean by that, Empress Huo?”

”The primordials were of equal strength, so the two primordial beasts couldn’t have killed them just like that.” They stared at Feng Yao in confusion. ”There are some things I can’t tell you all about the events of that era, but the destruction of the Primordial Era was due to the actions of those primordial beings. Everything only calmed down after the appearance of the Ten-Tailed Fox, Hu Tianlang, who stopped the fight between them. However, he appeared when it was too late, and the Primordial Realm was already a dead realm at that time.”

”A dead realm?”

”There’s nothing in the Primordial Realm now, and all that remains of that era is in ruins. After the Primordial Era ended, the universe sealed it, and a new era began after that.”

”The Ancient Era.”

”That’s right,” Feng Yao sighed.

Beiming Youhuang asked her, ”If the Primordial Era was destroyed, how could the Primordial Flame be in the Forbidden Land?”

”The universe moved the Primordial Flame to that place, but there are no records of the flame. The Ancients called it the Eternal Flame because the flame could never be extinguished, and it became the lifeblood of that era.” They looked at Feng Yao with questions, especially regarding the flame. ”Before the universe sealed the Primordial Era, I decided to reincarnate, and I was born in the Ancient Era as Guang Zhiyi. I reincarnated with my full memories, and I became the guardian of the ancient races, but that era had already been hit by many problems when I was reborn. The existence of the flame brought blessings to that era, but it also brought trouble to the Ancients, so I took it from that place.”

Tian Taiyang nodded with a solemn expression. ”In the past, many people from the ancient races competed to obtain the Eternal Flame, and bloodshed occurred in almost all domains. Only a few, such as my Golden Sun Clan, Yin Yue’s Silver Moon Clan, and a few others, did not participate in the fight for the flame. At that time, my clan already had the Sun Flame, and we felt that it was enough.”

”My Silver Moon Clan has the Moon Flame, so I never set my sights on the Eternal Flame,” Yin Yue said. ”However, several things happened after the Eternal Flame disappeared, and the Ancient Era began to collapse. At that time, I was too ambitious, and I decided to do something to help my clan survive. I never imagined that my decision would destroy my clan, the Golden Sun Clan, and so many others. Guang Zhiyi should have been able to do something to save us at that time, but something prevented her from acting, and I ended up like this.”

”Hehe,” Feng Yao chuckled upon hearing that. ”After the Ancient Era ended, another era was born. At that time, the lower realm, the middle realm, the upper realm, and the Paradise Realm were born. The universe intentionally divided power among the four realms, but it didn’t solve the problem due to the greedy nature of living beings. In the end, the universe created the barrier to separate the Paradise Realm from the three realms, and life in this universe became more stable because of it.”

”More stable, but never truly stable, and problems continue to emerge in all realms.”

”At least this universe is much more stable than during the Primordial Era and the Ancient Era.” Long Xukong and others agreed with Feng Yao. ”If we want this universe to be truly stable, living creatures should not exist in it because they are the bearers of problems.”

Long Xukong and others smiled bitterly after hearing that, but they did not argue with Feng Yao because all the problems in their universe stemmed from all living creatures from the Primordia Era to the current era.

Feng Yao put everything away and looked at Zhang Fei. ”They’re almost done, and he will become the true master of the Primordial Flame.”

”Will Zhang Fei’s strength be enough to defeat those shadowy creatures after this?”

”No.” Feng Yao shook her head at Beiming Youhuang. ”Even if he becomes the true master of the Primordial Flame, it won’t have any impact on his strength. Even I myself can’t defeat those shadowy creatures, as their strength is truly extraordinary, especially the main core. However, we still have one last hope, but he doesn’t dare to meet that person yet.”

”Who?”

”My Wrath Soul.” They turned to Hu Tianlang’s benevolent soul. ”That soul of mine has inherited most of my past strength, and it’s much stronger than that kid. If he decides to fight him now, he will suffer like last time, and his mentality will probably collapse again.”

[The host has become the true master of the Primordial Flame.]

The flames that enveloped Zhang Fei’s body slowly disappeared, and Huo Ling appeared in front of him, but she was not in her human form. ”Ling’er.”

Huo Ling felt a dilemma facing Zhang Fei because she never wanted him as her master, and she wanted to stay with Feng Yao forever, but he was already her master now.

Zhang Fei grabbed Huo Ling’s flame arm and kissed her fiery lips. ”Please give me a chance, okay?”
