Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 1679: Puyang Kongque

Feng Yao shook her head at Puyang Shenmi. ”In fact, I sensed those shadowy creatures targeted my husband because he was Hu Tianlang’s sole heir, especially the main core. They attacked us when we were in the Cangxuan Domain, but we managed to escape first, which led to the domain’s destruction.”

”Huh? Is the Cangxuan Domain really destroyed?”

”Fortunately, there are no humans or other living creatures in that domain, so the victims that fell were only those low-level beasts.”

”After all, the population in this Ancient Realm had decreased significantly after the past disaster, and many domains became empty because of it, including the Cangxuan Domain.” Puyang Shenmi sighed. ”So, are you two going to return to the Paradise Realm directly?”

”At first, I wanted to take my husband back to the Paradise Realm after we got those herbs, but he has other plans, and we will go to the Zenith Sun Sanctum after things are settled here.”

”The Zenith Sun Sanctum? Is he looking for the Sun Flame?” Feng Yao looked at Puyang Shenmi. ”Before those creatures appeared, some of my clan members accidentally entered that place, and they found the Sun Flame on the Sun Altar. However, they didn’t manage to get close to the altar to take the flame, so they ignored it and looked for something else.”

”Hehe,” Feng Yao chuckled. ”My husband already has eight of the ten heavenly flames, and the Sun Flame will be the ninth in his collection.”

”Does that mean he has obtained the Moon Flame?”

”My husband has obtained the Phoenix Flame, the Dragon Flame, the Soul Flame, the Blood Flame, the Sky Flame, the Earth Flame, and the Eternal Flame.” Puyang Shenmi was shocked to hear this because no one had ever managed to obtain so many heavenly flames in the past; however, she recalled that Zhang Fei was Hu Tianlang’s sole heir, which explained her surprise. ”The Eternal Flame is with me, and the flame spirit is one of his wives. Thus, my husband only needs to take the Sun Flame and the Chaos Flame to perfect it, but the latter is in a dangerous place, and that core creature might attack us there.”

”Where is the location of the Chaos Flame?”

”Near the core of this universe.” Puyang Shangren wanted to ask again, but Feng Yao shook her head at him. ”Little Shenmi, there are some things you should not be curious about, let alone try to find out, or they will be detrimental to you.”

Puyang Shenmi sighed inwardly and shifted her gaze to Zhang Fei, who was helping Puyang Yeyu put on her dress. She examined the female elder’s body and found that her injuries were 90% recovered.

Puyang Shenmi and Feng Yao walked towards the bed. ”Thank you, Zhang Fei. If you don’t come here and treat Puyang Yeyu, I’m afraid she will never be able to fully recover.”

”Senior, you don’t need to thank me; I just did what I could. Her injuries haven’t fully recovered, but it’s not a big deal.” Zhang Fei handed some pills to Puyang Shenmi. ”She just needs to rest and cultivate as usual, and her injuries will fully recover within the next month. To speed up her recovery, you can give her these pills.”

”Thank you.”

”Since the treatment is finished, we will take our leave, Senior.”

”Please be careful both of you.”

Feng Yao hugged Puyang Shenmi. ”We must part today, but we will meet again in the future, so please take good care of yourself.”

”I will.” Puyang Shenmi hugged her back. ”Even though my clan members are not as strong as you, you can tell me if you need our help in the future, and we will act according to your direction.”

”Alright.” Feng Yao hugged Zhang Fei’s arm and led him away. They immediately left the place together with Puyang Shangren and Long Xukong.

After they left, Puyang Shenmi looked at Puyang Yeyu, who was still lying there with her eyes closed. ”How long are you going to pretend to be asleep, Yeyu?”

”Sigh.” Puyang Yeyu opened her eyes and sat there. Her cheeks flushed red, remembering the previous situation. ”How am I supposed to wake up with that kid still here earlier, Grandma? He saw my naked upper body, and he also touched my chest. Even though he did that to treat me, I’m really embarrassed.”

”Haha,” Puyang Shenmi laughed, amused by her shyness.

”Don’t laugh at me, Grandma!” Puyang Yeyu pouted. ”Even though I’m so old, I’m still a virgin, and I’ll die of embarrassment if I open my eyes. I never thought such a young man would win Senior Feng’s heart, but I never expected him to be Senior Hu’s sole hair. His light element is more powerful than mine, and his healing techniques surpass all the senior healers in our clan.”

Puyang Shenmi caressed her head. ”Have you forgotten that Senior Hu is the owner of the best light element in this universe? Since Zhang Fei is his sole heir, his light element should also be powerful, right?”

”You’re right.”

”Sister!” Puyang Shenmi and Puyang Yeyu looked at Puyang Zong, who was running as fast as lightning towards them. He immediately hugged the latter tightly, and his old eyes shed tears. ”I’m glad... I’m glad you’re finally awake, Sister.”

Puyang Yeyu sighed. ”Brother, can you let go of me first? I’m not fully recovered yet, and you’re holding me this tightly.”

”Haha,” Puyang Zong laughed, wiping away his tears. ”I was so happy after Senior Feng told me that you’ve recovered, Sister! You’ve been suffering from an injury for so long, and not a single healer in our clan could cure you. I asked them to stay a few days to thank them, but they declined my invitation.”

Puyang Yeyu sighed again. ”They still have other matters to attend to, so we can’t keep them in our clan, and we’ll thank them in the future.”

”Yes... Yes...” Puyang Zong nodded repeatedly. ”So, how is your condition exactly?”

”Currently, I have recovered 90%, and Zhang Fei said that I will fully recover in a month.”

”Phew.” Puyang Zong breathed a sigh of relief. ”In that case, I’ll be leaving now, and you can rest here until you recover.”

”Alright, brother.”

Puyang Zong nodded to Puyang Shenmi and left the place directly, with a smile full of relief on his old face.

Puyang Shenmi looked at Puyang Yeyu with a smile. ”Your brother has always loved you since you were both little, and your condition has made him depressed lately. Now that you’re awake, his heart can feel relieved.”

”I know, my brother really loves me more than himself.” Puyang Yeyu smiled to himself. ”I’m going to cultivate now, grandma.”

”You can cultivate, but you must not overexert yourself because your injury hasn’t fully recovered.”

”I know.”

An old man, none other than Puyang Kongque, was watching Zhang Fei examine the herbs. He didn’t expect the young man in front of him to be an Alchemist God, which made him overjoyed.

Puyang Kongque intended to keep Zhang Fei at the Puyang Clan longer, but Feng Yao immediately refused. Since she had already said so, he didn’t dare force his will to force them to stay. ”Are you satisfied with these herbs, young man?”

”Completely satisfied!” Zhang Fei stored the herbs into the system inventory so his clone could plant them in the Sealed World Pearl. ”Senior, I actually wanted to discuss many things with you about alchemy, but time doesn’t permit, so we’ll discuss them in the future.”

”It’s fine... it’s fine...” Puyang Kongque waved his hands. ”More important matters must be dealt with first, and we will discuss alchemy when you come to this clan again in the future. By the way, do you have other alchemists by your side?”

”Eight alchemy gods.” Puyang Kongque’s eyes nearly popped out of their sockets after Zhang Fei said that. ”Oh! Yao’er is also an alchemy god, so I have nine.”

Puyang Kongque wiped his forehead, stealing a glance at Feng Yao. ”If my clan didn’t need my presence, I would definitely follow you to the Paradise Realm, young man.”

Zhang Fei looked at Feng Yao. ”Can my teleportation device be used to connect the two realms?”

”No,” Feng Yao shook her head slightly. ”The barrier separating the Paradise Realm and the Ancient Realm is too strong for your teleportation device to penetrate, so it’s useless for now.”

”For now?” Puyang Kongque was confused. ”Does that mean it can be used in the future, Senior Feng?”

”One step at a time, and we’ll see the results in the future.” Puyang Kongque’s lips twitched, but Feng Yao ignored him and hugged Zhang Fei’s arm. ”Since our business in this clan is settled, we will leave now.”

”Are you two going straight back to the Paradise Realm?”

”We are going to the Zenith Sun Sanctum.”

Puyang Kongque could only sigh as he watched them walk away. Zhang Fei suddenly tossed him a storage ring. ”Senior, you can share those pills with the others, and you’ll definitely be satisfied with their effects.”

Puyang Kongque was overjoyed upon hearing this and immediately took out several pills from the storage ring.

”All the pills are superior grade! Basic pills, healing pills, recovery pills, yin pills, yang pills, beast pills, and many more.” Puyang Kongque was stunned when he read the names of the other two pills. ”The Youthful Retaining Pill and the Beauty Restoring Pill? Are the effects of the two pills really as he wrote?”

Puyang Kongque kept the other pills, and he swallowed the Youthful Retaining Pill and the Beauty Restoring Pill as per Zhang Fei’s instructions.
