Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 1668: Clear Misunderstanding

Yue Qianrou raised an eyebrow, but she didn’t bother covering her naked body. ”What do you mean by that? What do you want to talk about regarding our relationship?”

”Hehe,” Feng Yao chuckled and shot something into Yue Qianrou’s body.

”Ugh!” Yue Qianrou staggered backwards and a dark, ominous aura enveloped her body. ”No... no... what did you do to me?”

”I’m just revealing your true self.” Feng Yao smiled.

Yue Xuelian immediately stood up and wanted to walk in front of Yue Qianrou, but Zhang Fei stopped her. ”Don’t worry, okay? Nothing bad will happen to your sister.”

”Alright.” Yue Xuelian nodded slightly.

”No! Argh!” Yue Qianrou’s figure quickly changed. Her face turned into an eerie beauty, pale to the point of translucence. Her skin carried a faint grayish undertone, as if life had long since vanished, yet it remained smooth and unmarred.

Yue Qianrou’s lips were thin and naturally darkened. Her eyes were half-lidded, with pupils that looked dull with death yet faintly glowed with a cold, ghostly light. Beneath them, faint bluish veins appeared like frost patterns. Her skin was deathly pale, almost as if her body had been hollowed out by yin energy. She resembled a lifeless statue, like a preserved corpse that refuses to decay completely.

A dark, cold aura enveloped Yue Qianrou’s body, causing the air temperature to drop. Yin energy faintly coiled around her like silk threads, occasionally visible as wisps of dark mist in the dim light. There was a faint scent of soil after rain mixed with something else.

”Qianrou,” Yue Xuelian called out softly, her body faintly trembling seeing her sister’s demon form.

”Shut up!” Yue Qianrou’s eyes turned sharp and deadly as she stared at Yue Xuelian. Her gaze was filled with anger and hatred. ”It’s... it’s your fault that I became like this! You... you always said you would protect me from any danger! But what?! You left me in that damned place, and I ended up turning into a corpse demon!”

”Qianrou.”

”Don’t call my name!” Yue Qianrou coldly spoke. ”You are my big sister, and I love you very much. However, you betrayed me and left me alone in that place, and I became such a disgusting creature because of it!”

”What’s so disgusting about being a demon?” Zhang Fei’s voice rang in Yue Qianrou’s ear.

Yue Qianrou glared at Zhang Fei, but she was stunned as soon as he transformed into his lust demon form. ”You... You are a demon? How? How is this possible?”

”Because I’m special?” Yue Qianrou frowned at Zhang Fei’s casual attitude. ”Just like you, I turned into a lust demon not because of my wishes but because of an accident that killed me.”

”You... you died once?”

Zhang Fei nodded and created a qi screen that showed the events of several years ago. ”See? A young woman fell from the sky at high speed, and she accidentally killed me at that time. I don’t know how she revived me, but she injected something into me during the process, which turned me into a lust demon. Unlike you who regret and lament your transformation into a demon, I wholeheartedly accept my identity as a lust demon.”

”You...” Yue Qianrou was speechless.

”Yue Xuelian did bring you to that place, and the two of you accidentally entered the ruins and were trapped inside. She tried to look for you in the ruins, but something there sent her out before she could find you. As for your transformation into a corpse demon, you can’t blame her because she didn’t want you to become like this either, and everything happened by accident.” Yue Qianrou looked at her big sister, whose eyes were puffy with tears. ”After she returned, she never forgot you. She kept trying to look for you, but unfortunately, she never managed to find the portal because it disappeared without a trace.”

Yue Qianrou glanced at her sister. ”Since when did you know I had turned into a corpse demon?”

”Since you came back to me.” Yue Qianrou was shocked to hear this because Yue Xuelian had never mentioned it before. ”A few months after I searched for you without success, you suddenly returned and fell unconscious for a while. One day, while I was cleaning your body, you unknowingly transformed into a corpse demon. I don’t know what happened to you in the ruins at that time, but your transformation made my heart ache.”

Yue Qianrou clenched her fist. ”You—”

”At that time, I thought you died in the ruins, and my heart was truly broken because of it.” Yue Xuelian’s expression and tone showed deep sorrow. ”You were my only sister, and you knew that I loved you very much. I’ve wanted to ask you about this matter many times, but I never had the courage to ask, and I hope you’ll tell me yourself someday.”

Yue Qianrou naturally knew that Yue Xuelian loved her, and she also loved her deeply because they were the only remaining members of their family. However, the events of years ago left her disappointed and angry, and she always blamed her sister for not seeking her out to save her.

Zhang Fei held Yue Xuelian’s hand and spoke to Yue Qianrou. ”Qianrou, you should stop blaming your sister for that matter, you know? You are her sister, and she loves you very much, so she will never let you suffer. If she can find that portal, she will definitely enter the ruin again to look for you.”

”I—”

”Moreover, your condition is not permanent, and you still have a chance to become human again.”

Yue Qianrou trembled. ”Is... is that true? Can... can I be human again?”

”That’s right.” Yue Qianrou looked at Feng Yao. ”Even though you’ve become a corpse demon, you’re still alive because you still have your soul, unlike other corpse demons. In fact, you turned into a corpse demon because of a curse from the Heaven-Defying Corpse Scripture, so you still have a chance to return to being human.”

”How—”

”I can’t tell you anything yet,” Feng Yao sighed. ”I’ve been looking for the portal, but I still haven’t found it, so you’ll have to be patient and wait for it to appear on its own. When the portal appears, I’ll know right away, and I’ll enter the ruins to search for the item that can reverse your situation.”

”Is... is that true?”

”Do I need to lie to you?” Feng Yao turned around and asked with a shake of her head. ”The ruins you entered belonged to a heretic sect, the Ancient Calamity Sect. That sect resided in the Ancient Realm, and it was destroyed long ago, but all of its remains are still preserved within the ruins. If I can enter the ruins, I will definitely have a solution to reverse your situation, so you must be patient and forget your hatred for your sister.”

*Thud*

Yue Qianrou fell on her butt and started crying. ”Sob... Sob...”

Yue Xuelian sighed in relief. She walked over to Yue Qianrou, crouched down in front of her, and hugged her. ”Qianrou, I—”

”Big Sis... I’m sorry...” Yue Qianrou hugged Yue Xuelian tightly as she cried into her chest. ”I... I’ve always blamed you for my condition, and I’ve always intended to do something to you to make you feel the suffering I felt after I became a corpse demon.”

”It’s okay.” Yue Xuelian rubbed her sister’s head and back. ”You are my sister, and I will never blame you if you hate me for that. I was the one who brought you to that place, so I’m also indirectly responsible for your transformation into a corpse demon. Empress Huo already said just now that there’s a way to break the curse and revert you back to a human, so we just need to be patient and find the portal.”

Yue Xuelian released Yue Qianrou from embracing her, cupped her face, and kissed her.

Yue Qianrou closed her eyes and returned Yue Xuelian’s kiss, and they kissed for a minute before separating their lips.

”Did you two finish kissing?” Yue Qianrou and Yue Xuelian turned to Zhang Fei, who was squatting by their side. ”If you’re still not satisfied kissing, you can do it again, and I’ll watch from here. Or would you both prefer to kiss me?”

The two women’s faces turned bright red, and they became even more embarrassed when they looked down because they were completely naked.

Zhang Fei smirked and pushed them down, kissing them in turn. ”Qianrou, I don’t have feelings for you yet, but I love Xuelian, and I want her to be my wife.”

Yue Qianrou frowned as she didn’t want to share her sister with anyone, let alone share her with Zhang Fei. ”You—”

”Since you two like each other, I’m thinking of taking you as my wife too, and the three of us will have fun together.” Yue Qianrou had a headache listening to Zhang Fei’s shamelessness. Moreover, she never liked men, and she only loved her sister, but he stripped her naked and kissed her forcefully. ”I understand the feelings between you two because some of my women also have those kinds of feelings towards their sisters, so I don’t have a problem with the feelings between you.”

Yue Qianrou’s face darkened, but Yue Xuelian suddenly spoke to her. ”Qianrou, I want to tell you that I fell in love with Zhang Fei.”

”Huh?” Yue Qianrou was shocked to hear that from her sister. ”Big sis, you—”

”Shh.” Yue Xuelian pressed her palm against her sister’s mouth. ”Even though I fell in love with Zhang Fei, my feelings for you have never changed. You are my sister, and I will love you forever.”
