Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 1563: Shadowy Creatures

Luo Yunxiao was already at the Immortal Lotus Sanctuary with her family. She smiled at her five-year-old nephew and niece, but they seemed shy towards her, as they hadn’t seen her since they were born. Even so, both children recognized her because their grandparents and parents often showed them photos of her.

”Huxiao, say hello to Aunt Yunxiao.” Bing Xingying pushed her son forward.

Chen Mengyao also pushed her daughter forward. ”You too, Xuanyao. Say hello to Aunt Yunxiao.”

Luo Huxiao and Luo Xuanyao walked to the front of Luo Yunxiao. ”Nice to meet you, Aunt Yunxiao.”

”Nice to meet you two, Huxiao and Xuanyao.” Luo Yunxiao rubbed their heads. ”You two have grown up now, and I’m sorry that I’m only visiting you now because I’ve been busy with my seclusion with your uncle in the past five years.”

”It’s okay, Aunty.”

”Are you going to live with us from now on, Aunty?”

”I’m Zhang Fei’s wife, so I have to stay with him, but I’ll visit you two more often in the future.”

Luo Huxiao and Luo Xuanyao nodded at her, but their expressions clearly showed disappointment.

”Where is Zhang Fei now, Yunxiao?”

Luo Yunxiao looked at her mother. ”My husband wants to go to several domains to check on a few things, Mother. After all, it’s been more than five years since the changes in this Paradise Realm, and he’s been in seclusion all those years, so he wants to check everything out. Have there been people from other domains who came to this domain in the past five years?”

”Yes,” Huang Xiaoyi nodded at her. ”Since that change, everyone in the domain has gone to check other nearby domains, and they found five other domains, with the closest one being 1000 miles away and the furthest one being 3500 miles away. Fortunately, those domains are small and not the main ones in this realm, so we don’t need to worry about people from those domains.”

”Have the people from the Divine Samsara Sect found the location of this domain?”

Luo Fengyan answered her directly. ”Someone from the Divine Samsara Sect contacted me two years ago, but they haven’t managed to find this domain yet, so I think the distance between our domain and the Heavenlight Domain is simply too great.”

”What do they want from us?”

”Nothing,” Luo Fenghan replied with a shake of his head. ”Since all the domains in the Paradise Realm are still connected through those gates, the people from the Divine Samsara Sect have never bothered us, mainly because of the presence of our five ancestors. Moreover, the distance between the two domains is too far now, so I’m sure they won’t have any thoughts about us.”

”What about our five ancestors?”

”They came out of their seclusion several times in the past few years to check the situation, and they went back into seclusion again once they were sure that the situation in this domain and our sect was safe.”

”Did they ask about my husband?”

”Ancestor Jieyi once asked about you and Zhang Fei, but I told her that you two rarely come here, and she didn’t say anything else to me.”

Luo Yunxiao nodded slightly. ”I don’t know what they’re thinking, but I hope they’ve forgotten their anger towards my husband.”

”I hope so; I don’t want any serious problems to arise between them,” Luo Fenghan replied with a soft sigh.

”Will you stay here for a few days?”

”Yes,” Luo Yunxiao answered her mother with a light nod. ”My husband’s cultivation has broken through to the One-Sun Celestial Emperor Realm, and my other sisters have broken through to the One-Sun Celestial King Realm. Their cultivation is still unstable now, so we won’t be entering seclusion for the next few years.”

”Sigh,” Huang Xiaoyi said softly. ”Time flies so fast, Yunxiao. Huxiao and Xuanyao are already five years old, but you still haven’t given us a grandchild. Even though we already have them, we still want a grandchild from you and Zhang Fei.”

Luo Yunxiao smiled as she listened to her mother. ”Don’t worry, Mother. We’ll give you grandchildren when my husband is ready to have children, so I hope you can be patient enough to wait.”

”What can I do but wait?” Huang Xiaoyi immediately stood up. ”I’ll cook your favorite food now, and we’ll eat together later.”

As Huang Xiaoyi walked away, Luo Fenghan also left them to take care of some matters.

Luo Yunxiao sighed inwardly as she looked at her parents, but then she looked at her niece and nephew, who were still shy around her. ”Do you two want to go to the Moonlit Passion Temple? You two can learn a lot from the senior cultivators there, like Jian Kuang and the others.”

Luo Huxiao and Luo Xuanyao exchanged glances for a moment before nodding to her. ”Aunt Yunxiao, the two of us have wanted to go to that sect for a long time, but our fathers are still in seclusion, and our mothers asked us to wait for them.”

”Haha.” Luo Yunxiao looked at Bing Xingying and Chen Mengyao for a moment. ”Our sect is the safest place in this Paradise Realm now, so you two can go there whenever you want through the teleportation device, and you two can learn a lot from them later.”

Luo Huxiao and Luo Xuanyao looked at their mothers. ”Can we go to Aunt Yunxiao’s sect, Mothers?”

”Yes.” Chen Mengyao nodded at them. ”We didn’t take you to the Moonlit Passion Temple before because your uncle and aunt are currently in seclusion, and the situation in this Paradise Realm is still unstable.”

Bing Xingying also spoke to them. ”If you two want to see the Moonlit Passion Temple, we’ll take you there later.”

”Please bring us there, mothers.”

”Alright.”

”What are our brother-in-law’s next plans, sister-in-law?”

Luo Yunxiao shook her head at Bing Xingying. ”My husband wants to go to the Ancient Realm to meet the last two souls of the ten-tailed fox, but he hasn’t made a decision yet because his cultivation has just broken through to the One-Sun Celestial Emperor Realm. He could use some of his cheats to increase his cultivation, but he chose not to, so he’s still considering everything.”

”I see.” Bing Xingying nodded in understanding. ”A year ago, Big Sis Will called me to see her, and she told me that the situation in the Ancient Realm was unstable and chaos was happening everywhere, but she didn’t explain to me the source.”

”Chaos?” Bing Xingying created a qi screen, which shocked Luo Yunxiao because many shadowy creatures appeared in all areas of the Ancient Realm. ”What kind of creatures are those? Where did they come from?”

”Big Sis didn’t tell me the details because she still hasn’t found the source, but she said that those shadowy creatures are too dangerous. Their appearance has made the already chaotic situation in the Ancient Realm even more chaotic, and many cultivators there have already become their victims.”

Luo Yunxiao looked at the qi screen seriously, observing those shadowy figures. ”Why did she show this information to you? Did she want you to tell my husband about the matter?”

”Big Sis actually doesn’t want my brother-in-law to go there.” Luo Yunxiao looked at Bing Xingying. ”Those shadowy creatures are truly powerful, and the ancients have a hard time fighting them. Moreover, my brother-in-law has always been busy with unimportant matters these past few years, and his strength wouldn’t be enough to fight them, even if he borrowed the power of evil beasts. If he wanted to go to the Ancient Realm and fight with them, he would have to break through to the Celestial Venerable first, but he would need a few more decades to achieve that.”

Luo Yunxiao naturally knew that because Zhang Fei needed many years to reach the 1-Sun Celestial Emperor Realm, his journey to reach the Celestial Venerable Realm was still too far for him, so he wouldn’t be able to reach it anytime soon unless he used other methods. ”Does the appearance of those shadowy figures have anything to do with the Primordial Nihility Beast?”

”No,” Bing Xingying dismissed Luo Yunxiao’s guess immediately. ”Big Sister told me that the two primordial beasts are still in a deep slumber, and they won’t wake up anytime soon because their awakening would shake the foundation of this universe. If that happens, the balance my brother-in-law has been trying to restore for the past few years will collapse. The Giant Yin-Yang Lotus isn’t strong enough for another disturbance in the balance of Yin and Yang, and this universe will be destroyed if it disappears.”

”I will inform my husband about this matter, and he will probably need your help to meet the Will of the Universe again.” Luo Yunxiao immediately contacted Zhang Fei, informing him about the matter.

”Mother, what is the Will of the Universe?”

Bing Xingying looked at her son. ”Huxiao, this universe is alive just like us, and the Will of the Universe, which represents the universe’s consciousness and purpose, is the incarnation of this universe itself. I’ll take you to see her later, but we have to wait for your uncle first.”

”Yes, Mother.”

Thereafter, they chatted lightly, and Luo Yunxiao told Luo Huxiao and Luo Xuanyao a lot about the Moonlit Passion Temple, making them even more eager to see the situation in the sect for themselves.

Meanwhile, Zhant Fei and Nalan Wangzi were standing in front of the portal leading to the Ancient Desolation Domain. Although the Paradise Realm had changed greatly, the border still existed, but those gates had disappeared.

”Why did you bring me here, husband?”

”Wait.” Zhang Fei listened to the message from Luo Yunxiao. ”Hmm? Shadowy creatures?”
